sasuke was always more of a momma's boy than a fathers son. So, if his mom had sharingan, imagine all the training he couldve had at an early age. Sasuke's mom knew he was struggling to get his dad's approval. If she had sharingan, why not try to help train your own son???

Because sasuke was training with itachi... And as long as I can remember, there was a plot that sasuke's mom told him she would help him with shurikens... So yeah... She helped him.

There might be scans of other female sharingan users standing in the background during flash backs, I'm not to sure.

She was a Jonin
Really? When did it say that? How did I miss that...

The bottom one touching the speech bubble

Those all kinda look like guys to me. Uchiha women are super good looking. You can tell the difference.

Well i believe women did have the sharingan, because kishi never stated that the sharingan was restricted only to men. It was never mentioned or seen because Itachi kiled everyone and kishimoto wanted to surprise his viewers later down the road. Its how writer's operate :)

I assumed he killed the women to ensure they couldn't give birth to anymore uchiha's thus eliminating the entire clan. But you raise a good point.

Because in most traditional family of fighters, it is the father's responsibility to train his sons... Especially in Japanese society

This is a very good answer. Didn't think about cultural differences.

I just wish kishi had introduced a few of them. Most of the manga was about uchiha and he never touched on the topic. Really did a disservice for not only female readers but all readers.

It's good tho that sarada has awakened her sharingan.

Well she is surely the first female Uchiha to awaken sharingan in cannon, I did a lot of research on that and there are no scans/mentions of any other female sharingan user(except filler ofc).

Kishimoto is illustrating japanese society and how women were represented in that time. At that time women had no right stepping over a mans authority and only role was being a mother in caring for the child. It was the mans job to train his son how he pleased. Just like in reality women didn't have many rights and freedoms within the family or in society and were restricted to certain rules in past times. Today things are different so women have much more freedom of speech and authority in her family.

Kiba's clan had female ninja. Also, Tsunade was Hokage. I don't think he was going for that.

The one I'm talking about is actually good looking even though part of her face is cut off by the panel

I don't know kishi's thoughts and if he was intentionally going for that approach, but throughout the manga based on Tsunade's actions it represents how women throughout history fought against those restrictions by society by being their own woman and making their own rules. That's how our culture has gotten to where it is now, because of women like Lucy Stone, Susan B. Anthony, Judy Goldsmith, and many more that fought to give women rights and break from the cage society wanted to trap us in.

Theirs a lot of inspirational things you can learn from this manga, and that's just one of them that i recognized. :bouncy:

I wonder. I could see how during the 'warring clans period' maybe kishi was trying to show how traditional japanese culture was represented. But throughout the majority of the main story, why did we see no women uchiha??

I get that the clan was exterminated. But I think kishi missed an opportunity with sasuke's mom. That would've been good development and at least would've shown that women could wield a powerful sharingan thus setting up sarada's storyline.

How would a female sharingan user's susano'o look? So many questions

No she isn't.
Yes she is the first one actively using a sharrigan.
Kaguya was the first, and there was a female Uchiha in the flashback when they showed the clan.

Kaguya is a good example of a woman with the sharingan. That's a good answer that I forgot about. I dont see the woman in that flashback. It's been posted and it looks like all men.

I mean doujutsu can be inherited by women. Look at the hyuuga. Hinata and hanabi have the byakugan but kishi couldn't introduce any contemporary women with the sharingan?? Is the byakugan the only doujutsu that women are allowed to have?

Why haven't we seen Sasuke's mom with the Sharingan? Because she only appeared in a few panels before Itachi murdered her.

Even in the panels with the uchiha police force looking for itachi after shisui was murdered, kishi could've made one of them a woman. Seems like he went out of his way to portray the clan as specifically men having the kekkei genkai.

Like i said its portrayed that way because of japanese culture. Most women are always at home caring for a child, cleaning the house, or preparing dinner. After a certain age most of them settle down such as we see with Sakura, Ino, Hinata, Tenten (owns a store), and many of the other kunouchi. Lol its all japanese culture and i remember kishimoto being japanese last time i checked lmao.
