Just like the title says: Is Sarada the first woman in history of uchiha to awaken Sharingan? How come we never saw sasuke's mom with sharingan? Pretty weird.

Sasuke's mom was never shown with a sharingan but I bet she had it since she was a jonin level ninja! And I think there was this woman who introduced Izanami but only in Anime!

You would think that since awakening sharingan has a lot to do with emotions that more women would have it than guys.

In a manga panel, I remember seeing women with Sharingan. Guess it was used to show Senju and Uchiha troubles.
On the whole, we seem to see Sarada being the first Uchiha girl awakening the Sharingan.

There might be scans of other female sharingan users standing in the background during flash backs, I'm not to sure.

Sasuke's mom probably wasn't a ninja.

She was a Jonin

there ought to be at least one girl sharingan before sarada since its roots are back to indra

We have seen a female sharingan user, but she was anime only. Naori Uchiha, creator of Izanami, here is a link,

But Sarada is the first in the manga, so I see where you are coming from.

I would agree. With every other clan, we see men and women fighting equally. Esp in kiba (dog ninja, forget the name) clan. How come in uchiha, it seems mostly men? Imagine a woman shinobi with sharingan!!

It's weird that kishi hasn't really explored that until now

She's the first one in canon to have one. The rest were filler.

sasuke was always more of a momma's boy than a fathers son. So, if his mom had sharingan, imagine all the training he couldve had at an early age. Sasuke's mom knew he was struggling to get his dad's approval. If she had sharingan, why not try to help train your own son???

There was for sure... But hasn't been shown in manga and anime.

And about sasuke's mom...she probably activated her sharingan... She was a jounin level ninja after all... And clan's chief's wife.... It must be some conditions to marry the chief..right??? XD
And..she was sasuke and itachi's mom... There should be a reason why their sharingan is powerful...
Plus, she wasn't shown in the scenes that were emotional or needed sharingan to be activated.
(Sorry for bad grammar)

Well i believe women did have the sharingan, because kishi never stated that the sharingan was restricted only to men. It was never mentioned or seen because Itachi kiled everyone and kishimoto wanted to surprise his viewers later down the road. Its how writer's operate :)

Because in most traditional family of fighters, it is the father's responsibility to train his sons... Especially in Japanese society
