San'indō Island

With the devastation on mainland Kinai, the people of San'indo abandoned the excavated and fortified mine due to an immediately lack of resources. Now the entire facility lies abandoned, a ghost town shrouded in a perpetual ocean of mist.

had been searching for a place, one where he would belong, where he could finally settle down and not be judged based on his past. From not fitting in with his clan to the failures he'd had when he held the title "Fairy king", right now all's that seemed to suit him was the fact that his title held the word sloth in it's name. As he lay in his single person boat as it washed up on the shore of an unknown island. The sudden thud of the boat hitting the short caused him to fall sideways and hit his head on the side of the boat as he cursed. Rubbing his head he pushed himself up, placing his hand on his staff and looked up out of the boat around at where he was. Some use that did him. A thick mist lingered over the shore, was it just a bad weather day? He got out and pulled the boat onto shore where he found a tree, which was kinda small, a bit, grim looking, like it hadn't gotten enough sun. Not that it surprised him when the mist was this thick here. Taking the rope from the front of his boat he began tying his boat to the tree so it wouldn't get carried away if the tide decided to come in. He now stopped and looked around, though, he didn't know why he bothered, he couldn't really see anything, just more small, kinda sad looking trees. This seemed like a happy place.

"I wonder what this place is? Doesn't look like anywhere i've been before. Guess there is only one way to find out..."

And with that, picking up his staff and few personal items he began to stroll into the trees, hoping to head towards the center of the Island. Who know he might find life here, or even just find out where the hell he was so he could find a place he actually wanted to be in. Soon the sound of the ocean waves were drowned out, but it seemed the mist seemed to muffle quite a bit of sound. Even kings steps with the breaking of sticks below him didn't seem to carry through the air. But something caused him to stop. Suddenly, he was aware. He was sure he heard something. Now stood, his staff horizontal across his chest, he looked around, listening carefully but there was nothing. His shoulders began to relax as he went to move again, but his instincts stopped him as a small growl moved through the air to his right. He spun around and again nothing. The very hairs on the back of his neck stood up in suspense. He wasn't being paranoid, he'd definitely heard something. Now he stood, perfectly still, he couldn't take it any longer, he released his chakra through his eyes activating his dojutsu, the Byakugan. This would be the decision that saved his life. His Byakugan granted him 360 degree vision, allowing him to see on all sides. In that moment, his eyes caught the figure leaping through the air from behind, jaws wide open aiming to clamp down on his neck. Seeing it just in time, king's ninja reflexes kicked in, he spun a round on his left heal, pushing his staff around with his right hand, driving the right end of his staff into the beasts head with a horizontal strike, catching it mid air, smashing the beast down towards the ground to kings left now, as he'd done a complete spin. The beast would hit the floor but roll over into a crouching position ready to strike once more.

This was the first time king managed to get a good look at it, it looked like a wolf, though where it was damp from being in the mist, all its fur hung soaking wet, it's eyes rabid and it's mouth drooling. It looked depraved. King stood ready now for another strike, his eyes now picking up even more around him. On either side of him now, two more of these wolves slowly approached through the mist. He took two slow steps back, so the three beasts were infront of him now. He didn't really want to waste his energy fighting these as he didn't know what other threats lay ahead on this Island. Using a unique technique he'd picked up from taming beasts before, he decided to show them who the true threat was here. In that moment, he stood tall and released his intent upon all of them, his eyes fixed, determined as his killing intent washed over all three beasts. They stopped in the air tracks. All three crouched low, snarling as though ready to strike, they went to move, but suddenly darted off into the mist away from king, sprinting as they whined, they moans being lost in the mist. As they did, king let out a sigh of relief leaning against a tree now.

"Wew, that was close, i need to be more careful. Speaking of which...."

With his Byakugan active now, he decided to make use of it, focusing and beginning to scan the island looking around. It was a bit harder, differentiating things through a thick mist but not impossible. In doing this he made out something he didn't expect to find. In the earth there were tunnels, all throughout, like conclave. Following the path of the tunnels with his eyes, he could see them people. Many people. Yet very few on the surface. He decided he'd head in that general direction and begin to investigate the island by asking the people that lived here. Keeping his eyes active, he made his way to where he'd seen on of the entrance ways to the cave system nearest to him, keeping his staff ready at all times. As he reached the entrance way, he noticed that it was closed off, a large gate blocking the tunnels. Strange really, from what he'd seen it looked like a mining facility. He walked over using his Byakugan to look through the door, seeing several men on the other side. Maybe it was just a safety precaution. He thought for a moment then realized it's best he deactivate his eyes so as to not alarm them. And so he released his Byakugan and made his way to the door, knocking his staff on the door 3 times waiting a response. After a moment he heard movement behind the door, then a shutter on the gate opened as a head looked out, looking around for the cause of the noise, then looking down towards king, looking confused. He shut the shutter then a moment later the Gate was being pulled open by the man who opened the shutter and a smaller, older man stepped forwards. He was about 5ft 5", short dark hair, dark grey beard a few inches long and a medium sized build. What king noticed straight away was the sword on his hip. So there were guards here, how peculiar. Now, the thing about king was, although he was 25, he looked like a 14 year old boy, so to these men it must of seemed extremely out of the norm for a boy to turn up here as they all looked confused and wary. The man approached, looked around then looked at the boy, speaking.

"How did a boy like you, end up in a place like this?"

King was going to explain how he wasn't a boy etc, but what was the point, no one ever believed him, so he went with a shorter version, explaining how he woke up as his boat hit the shore, didn't know where he was, how he'd been searching through the forest, fought off some wolves then stumbled upon this gateway hoping to find answers. The man seemed happy with his response though a little amazed.

"You managed to fight off those wolves by yourself, i'm impressed, many merchants with guards avoid this place due to the rabid wildlife... anyway, come in, it's not safe out here..."

And so king followed the man in as the gate was locked and bolted behind him. The tunnels were lit by a series of torches that let all the way down into the system below that king has seen with his Byakugan.

"What was with those wolves anyway? Why are they like that?"

The man now stopped and let out a sigh. It seemed like his next answer would pain him to say.

"Well, that's all to do with that thick mist out there. It's been countless years, more than anyone here can remember, that that mist settle on the island. With it, it seemed like a curse. The mist has always been thick so it always seems gloomy on the island, even when we can tell the sun is high above. The vegetation above has suffered. The plants didn't grow right, though the grass does and some trees, but not like it should. This has always been an island known for it's mining operations but even that is dwindling now. Anyway the animals, without sun, always dark, the mist making their hunting even harder, some just become even more wild, rabid, savage, now the main surface isn't safe. Now we all live down in this mining facility, as well, we always have a supply of food from the mushrooms that grow down her, they ain't the best tasting, but it's better than starving. We often get scavengers come and stay here, looking to find treasures on the surface but, well, once they go out they never come back, either they found what they want or...."

He seemed to trail off into a deep thought.

"It's amazing that you've all managed to come together and still make a life like this on this island, even under those circumstances, you should be proud"

This snapped the man out of his own little world and he looked into kings eyes, seeing something there that made him smile.

"You're right, trust a kid like yourself to point out whats good."

"I'm not a.... nevermind... so why don't you guys all try and leave, like find a new home, where there isn't the mist?"

"*sigh*, we've tried, but not everyone wants to go, they are scared, and this is the home they know. Some believe the mist will pass one day, some just don't want to risk the journey, and well, me and my bretheren here, we don't want to leave a single person behind, so we stay, we watch, we guard... we hope."

King thought for a moment. These guys give up their lives to protect those who are scared and vulnerable, even when they want to leave. He made up his mind.

"Well i guess that settles it old timer, i'm going to have to stick around and help you out aint i?"

To be continued...

Jutsu Referenced:

(Dōjutsu: Byakugan) Eye Technique: The All Seeing White Eye
Type: Supplementary
Rank: C
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 15 (+5 per turn to keep active)
Damage: N/A
Description: The kekkei genkai intrinsic to both the Hyūga and Ōtsutsuki clans—descendants of Kaguya Ōtsutsuki. Those who possess this dōjutsu have it manifested as eyes with featureless white irides and no visible pupils. And when activated, the pupils become more distinct and the veins near their temples bulge. To activate the dōjutsu, Hyuga but not Ōtsutsuki clan members are initially obliged to use a rather long and specific sequence of handseals: Horse → Tiger → Boar → Hare → Rat → Dog → Horse → Dog → Hare → Rat → Boar → Snake. But once activated, the dōjutsu user is endowed with a range of skills.

To start, an activated Byakugan gives the user a near 360º diameter field of vision bar one blind spot at the back of the neck, above the first thoracic vertebra. Its vision can penetrate through any solid objects or obstructions, and likewise remains unaffected by blinding interferences. But that being said, certain barriers and the like may distort its perception. In addition, it is able to follow high-speed movements, which enables those with this dōjutsu to analyze their foes' actions and better react to them. The Byakugan is also able to see chakra to a higher degree than the Sharingan and ergo, identify where a person's chakra signature originates from. Beyond that, it can discern certain types of clones from the real person. And its ability to see chakra is in fact so acute that those who possess this dōjutsu are even able to see the chakra pathway system and the 361 tenketsu that comprise it. The Hyūga clan has gone so far as to develop their unique Gentle Fist style in order to capitalize on this particular ability.

Note: Hyuga clan bios of at least Sannin rank become able to passively activate their dōjutsu upon one month having passed since Gentle Fist training concluded. Ōtsutsuki bios never need to expend a move in order to activate it.
Note: While traversing the NW, bios with activated Byakugan are able to see up to two 2 adjacent landmarks away while those of sage rank can see as far as three away, but this doesn't extend beyond an ocean landmark.

(Sakki) - Killing Intent
Rank: D - S
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: N/A
Damage points: N/A
Description: Killing Intent pertains to the ability of the user giving off their pure killing intention and having it affect their opponent and others around them up to the point of paralyzing them. When the Killing Intent is particularly strong, it can even give the victim visions of their own gruesome death, nausea, pain, etc. This can cause the Killing Intent to be confused with a genjutsu, despite not being a genjutsu at all; simply a showcase of intention and power. The target will feel as if facing an overwhelming enemy and, even if not a sensor, will suddenly feel the pressure of the users chakra and its magnitude, making the effect that much more dramatic. To effectively be used, the user needs to focus on his target and concentrate on the killing intent towards it, meaning that one must see the target and be focused on it. The strength of the Killing Intent is dependent on many factors and go through several levels. If a difference in rank smaller than 2 ranks exist, the enemy will feel only the pressure and the ominous presence of their dark intentions. Its enough to lose your grasp on a weapon or stay clinched to it (depending on the situation) or even to hesitate in an attack, stumble or mess up a handseal, all depending on the situation and proximity. The effect is small and normally not that significant but can be effectively used to pressure enemies into making a mistake. If a difference of 2 ranks or more exist, the enemy will be frozen, almost unable to move as the overwhelming killing intent dominates their own conscious and riddles them with nightmarish versions of death. The paralyzation gradually weakens as time passes and can only be maintained while the user is focused on the target. The further away the target, the weaker it is and it can only fully paralyze a target within short range. Similarly, the more targets one focuses on, the weaker the effect is in each one (divinding the effects equally between the number of targets). Lastly, the stronger the user is in relation to the target, the stronger the effect will be. The target can counter Killing Intent directed at it through pain, "mind cleansing" techniques or their own Killing Intent.
Note: Intensity of technique depends on the rank of the user, distance to target and number of targets one is focusing on
Note: Can only be used once
Note: Lasts only while the user is focusing on it and while focusing on it the user can't mold chakra

The old man looked at king bewildered as he'd just heard king say he was going to stick around and help, but what must of gone through his mind is what could someone who looked so young do to help a bunch of people that didn't want to leave? Having stared at king for a long while, he looked away now, clearing his throat and gestured for them to proceed. King followed looking around, taking in everything he could, considering it was just a mining facility, there was a lot to take in the further he went down the tunnels. At first, it was simple things, such as the wooden beams that helped support the roof, they looked like they had been there for some time, yet not in the best condition, but doing their job. Stalactites hung from the ceiling, King was no rock expert but he he knew how they formed, and could tell from the length that they had been forming for a long time, just how old was this facility. Moisture lined the walls as they made their way down, but this must of been from the constant mist that hung on the island. King could help that nagging feeling that there was more to that mist, but what could it be? After several minutes now, he could see a form of opening at the end of the tunnel they were travelling down, and as they reached that point, it opened up into a larger area, one large enough to hold atleast 300 people. It must of been a gathering point from when the mining system was formed as other tunnels shot off into different directions. There was so much going on down here, king couldn't help but stop and stare. The old man looked at him and laughed at his belwilderment.

"This is what we call Khazar Dhum, it's what you could call one of the focal points to our little commnity down here, where people who make it to the island come to trade or rest, generally one of the focal points down here. Over there you can see the stands where most people get their grub from"

He pointed to a couple of wooded stands in the corner with a few old ladies behind them, handing out mushrooms that looked unique. King hated mushrooms with a passion, the texture, the taste, even thinking about eating them made him gag. Yet so many people he saw eating them with a smile on their face, well, come to think of it, that's all's people were eating. He thought back and he'd seen those mushrooms before, they lined the tunnel that he'd just come down. Was that their source of food that naturally grew down here somehow? Now looking up he observed everyone around him. Kids were happily playing, chasing each other around, others stood in groups talking, parts of the conversations he caught about the mist and how one day it would hopefully go. Some other stories about a curse on the Island. Others that it could be worse. What caught his attention more were the silent figures. One stood on his own cloaked in the corner, observing king very closely, yet when king looked up, he soon turned and faced another direction pretending to be busy.

"Say, do you often get many people come visit down here? Like what kind of people do make it to this island? Who do you let down here?"

King said this to the man, while his head was facing the old guys direction but his eyes were still trained to keep an eye on the figure in the corner that seemed to be talking to his wrist or something as he completely turned away now.

"Let down here? It's not really our place to say no really, everyone has a right to safety here so we let all come and go as they please as long as they don't bring any trouble with them. Though come to think of it, theres a guy over behind you, he hasn't really spoke to anyone since he's been here. Seems to be always meditating, hasn't spoke a word to anyone really. Though, he's not harming anyone, so we don't bother him neither."

King was snapped out of his little trance staring at the strange man in the corner, and turned around to see the guy meditating. How had he missed this guy before? King could help but be curious. Now looking the guy up and down he tried to make sense of him. Now a hand patted him on the shoulder.

"Well, we need to get back up and on duty, if you need anything, give us a shout, until then don't be causing no trouble now... catch you later kid... behave"

And with that the old man was gone back up the tunnel he'd led king down. King thought for a moment what best to do with his time, now he couldn't help himself. He made his way over to the wall of the room where the meditating man was, stopping a meter infront of him with his hands behind his head, he spoke with a smile on his face.

"Hey there... i'm Harlequin... but you can call me King, who are you?"

He awaited the man's response...

Background History

Kaizen, like many young orphan children within the Land of fire, make their way into the safety of the great Fire Temple that is located within the borders of Fuyuan province. He lost his parents at the age of 2 when they were killed by some assassins. An uncle then came into the care of young Kaizen but had no desire to raise the child. He then decided to leave Kaizen in the care of the monks of the fire temple. It is here where kaizen spend most his life training and perfecting the many ways of the Monk, but also the techniques and teachings of the Ninjutsu way. He quickly began to master every technique that he could learn, as well as quickly raising his stature as one of the greatest Monks to have come from the fire temple. He was well known for his use of Taijutsu quickly becoming considered a Master of the art. At the age of 22 he decided he would take a pilgrimage into the outer world to learn more about many cultures and religions and expand his knowledge of Philosophy. During his time in the open world he developed a range of techniques unique to himself such as the Liquid Nitrogen Element but also he developed and created a well known Doctrine of Martial Arts which came to be known as Kaito Taijutsu, and with such in short amount of time after he then attained after various challenges the Title of Official Sage, The Sage of the Mind body and Soul. He would later gain many followers who wished to learn the ways of Kaito Taijutsu and the many philosophies he also had learned. By the time he reached 27 he decided it was time to return to the Fire temple, only to then find it in ruins and the monks whom he called brothers perished in battle.

Journey from the fire temple up until current time

Kaizen walked very slowly into the grounds of the fire temple, scorch marks and blood trailed the marble grounds with corpses laying about everywhere. They scattered the courtyard laying up against pillars, walls and even up the steps leading to the prayer hall. The sight left kaizen speechless, his face washed white with horror as he tried to grasp the pictures of the people who were his family lay motionless. His heart beating rapidly he slowly makes his way to a corpse close by bending down he examines the body closely and places two fingers on the neck. It was evident here that this was the work of ninja, wounds reminiscent of ninja tools were on the body and kunai and shuriken scattered the surroundings. He would then make his way towards the prayer hall walking past his dead brothers not uttering a single word as it all slowly sinks in. Each step he climbed was heavy in his heart the names and faces of all those he passed rushed through his mind as the memories he shared with his brothers flooded back and as he rose up the final step before him he saw the elder slouched against a statue of the first Monk whom built the fire temple. The elder had a peaceful expression upon his face, despite what transpired he still died with a peaceful heart. Looking down at his hand he notices that he held his rosary beads within his hands and in that instant he knew exactly what happened, for the elder monk was the last to die. he clearly chose to welcome his death with a prayer which would have been for all the dead monks so that they may reach Nirvana and rest peacefully and then within that moment the attacker must of taken his life. Kaizen then lay his elder friends body flat on the ground and closed his eyes and made a prayer.

Several hours had passed since kaizen returned to the temple, and within that time he had carried all his dead brothers to the sacred burial grounds and dug them their graves, buried them and performed the sacred traditions for fallen monks. He now stood at the gates to the temple looking back at the temple grounds remembering the sight of which he arrived at and took a moment to make another prayer before he turned around and left. He had taken the choice to seek out who had carried such an act and made it his goal to bring those to justice. A short while after leaving the temple he was wandering down a trade road when in front of him he noticed 3 individuals. One was a tradesmen and his caravan whilst the other two were covered in dark robes, they appeared to be exchanging goods for gold when one of the cloaked men turned round and saw Kaizen approaching. He didn't utter any words and quickly touched the other mans shoulder alerting him to kaizens presence. They both looked at kaizen with eyes that only know trouble, they exchanged a brief moment of silence before their expressions changed, showing that they were slightly concerned with the presence of a monk, and within that moment they quickly disappeared their silhouettes swiftly disappearing into the trees. Kaizen was then approached by the merchant who then started to talk....

Merchant: You there young man, your a monk from the fire temple... I heard about what happened there such its such a tragedy I heard that all the monks died so how come your still alive?

Kaizen looked at the man for a few seconds and replied
Who were those men you was talking to they looked like shinobi

Merchant: oh they customers and I was talking to them about how I do trade with the temple and I was just on my way there when they told me that its no use, the monks were all dead. I asked them how they knew this and they said it was none of my business and that it would serve me no good to know...

With that Kaizen took a quick bow and jumped into the trees with the intent to follow them. He looked around surveying the environment seeking out the path that they took when he noticed two individual sets of tracks moving through the trees. He perused the tracks for several hours leading him through the land when eventually they disappeared from the tree canopy and down onto the ground. Kaizen followed them down and noticed that they left through the edge of the trees and out towards an open field. As he then walked slowly into the open he overlooked a small village that sat at the edge of a river mouth which connected to a wider river system. He was unaware of where he was as he hadn't taken a route this way before but he could tell the two men made their way down into the village where he noticed that a rather large vessel had docked itself in the small town harbour. Kaizen then made his way down into the village to try and pick up the trail of the two individuals. After being within the village for around 20 minutes looking around and asking the town folk if they had noticed two individuals he made his way to the harbour where he then found those he was searching for and they then made way onto the vessel where they were joined by several other individuals who were adorned in the same outfits as they were he could tell they were about the leave the town and so kaizen made the decision to sneak aboard the vessel and hide, he was not about to make any sudden choices because there were too many people around. Kaizen snuck aboard the vessel and hid below deck making sure no one saw him. He was onboard the vessel for several days maintaining his hiding position and listening to the crew trying to decipher whom they were, what they were talking about and where they were heading and all he could make out was that their destination was towards San'indō Island.

As the Vessel finally came to a stop, kaizen had been hidden onboard for about 7 days he waited a little while until everyone went above deck and slowly he made his way up keeping out of sight and watching their actions. The group of shinobi made their way off the boat and onto the shore. Kaizen instantly noticed the thick mist that lay over the island making visibility really poor. He would then leave the ship and pursue the group up the beach and he hid behind a rock listening to them speak, they had told two of their group to enter the cave system and reach the mining facility where the townsfolk took refuge and hide amongst them. They then parted ways as the larger group disappeared into the mist following the beach southwards whilst the two individuals who were left behind then disappeared down into a cavern. Kaizen quickly decided it was best to follow those two as the group had already been lost within the thickness of the mist. several minutes went past as kaizen made his way down a long dark passage until he found himself coming face to face with a large iron door that had a iron shutter which all of a sudden opened and there behind it a man stood he then closed the shutter and proceeded to open the iron door in front of him.

Welcome guest please come in, this is a safe place so please make your self at home

with that kaizen walked past and through the iron gate and was led by another man who took him down a passageway that entered into a large room. There were many people down in the hall it was bustling with life and kaizen proceeded to walk around knowing full well the two whom he followed would probably try to blend in, so he decided to find a quiet place to meditate and gather his thoughts. He walked over towards an empty space and sat down placing his belongings beside him and began to meditate. An hour passed by and people walked passed curious in nature but at the same time none tried to disturb him. Then suddenly footsteps walked up towards him and standing before him a strange fellow looked down smiling with his hands behind his head. He then spoke introducing himself as King and for a few short seconds Kaizen stared at him to study and determine if he was one of the guys he was looking for but he wasn't and he replied with telling the fellow his name.

I am Kaizen a pleasure to meet you King

Kaizen, that was a name king hadn't heard before, but, then there must be many names he hadn't heard before. Looking at the man now for the first time properly, up close he had a unique look to him. It wasn't just a form of physical appearance, but his demeanor, the attitude that his body give off, the way he held himself. It was like he was sat there and he was one with his body, rather than a mind and a body. His posture showed confidence, discipline while still looking relaxed, there was something about him that reminded King of a place he'd visited a few months back, in the land of fire, there was a great temple, one of formidable size and many followers of their ways, the gates themselves were near on impenetrable. Could this man be from there? But then why was he all the way out here, where ever this was? It didn't make sense, though would it be rude to ask after only exchanging names?

King didn't have to ask though, he picked up on the man's line of sight, even if not direct, he was also observing the man in the corner of the room, the one king had taken notice to. So it wasn't just him, this was out of the normal for this place, but what would this Monk guy care about some strange figures in the corner? They weren't usually the hunt down or fight for justice kind of guys, they lived within their own means yet had the power to defend themselves. King was trying to put the pieces together but at the same time he didn't want it to seem as though he was ignoring the greeting of the man before him. But instead he decided to take a casual approach to things. With one hand still behind his head, he drew his right hand back a bit and quickly gestured with his thumb in the direction of the strange man.

"Nice to meet you Kaizen, now, don't mind me but... i couldn't help you also looking in the general direction of Mr "Not so shifty character" over there. Now tell me if i'm wrong, but something doesn't seem right there does it? A place of refugees on a thick mist island in what almost seems like a poverty village, and someone like that is skulking around."

King paused for a moment then decided to push his luck in the best way he could. Honesty.

"I've been on this island for only a few hours now and it doesn't make sense to me. This thick mist is never ending and the wildlife, it's driven crazy, now you could put it down to the mist, but what about this mist makes them that way? Why do the people hide in these mines? Why does it seem there is more to fear out there than just a few rabid wolves? Now i come down here to find these people, guarded by the few that are determined to stay, and in all this one things stands out, that guy, in the corner, who seems to planning something. Now, i could be jumping to conclusions, but aside from what i hear are highly nutritious mushrooms... what does this island have to offer for a man like that? You with me?"

King now stood, waiting and watching Kaizen, he'd put his eggs in one basket now, lets see if they hatched a nice surprise.

Kaizen was curious about this man who approached him and as he greeted him, with sharing each others names he carefully listened to what he had to say whilst he was switching his concentration back and forth from King onto a shady individual who was standing slightly in the shadows and looking around in all directions as if he was surveying the surrounding environment and trying to memorise specific details about it. Once King had finished speaking kaizen drew his gaze back towards him and started speaking abit more softly...

That individual over there I have spent a great amount of time and travelled a lot of distance in following him, as well as several others that make up his group. As to regards of the mist, the creatures acting wildy out of character I cant give you much information myself. The mist indeed is somewhat puzzling and what you tell me of these creatures behaviour seems odd to me indeed, almost as if something unnatural is occurring on this island. And I suppose it would help you to understand more by first telling you some of my story and the events leading up to our meeting.

with that kaizen began to inform his newly acquainted friend how he was a member of the fire temple and that he had returned from a journey back to the fire temple only to find that it had been laid waste by some unknown individual or group, for which was not at present clear to him. He then told how after burring his brothers and promising to find the truth of the matter he came across the shady individual with another person on the road leading away from the land. He overheard that they had some connection to the events that had transpired at the temple and when they noticed him they quickly left in a hurry. he told him how he then pursued them for several hours finally reaching a small village by a river, where they then met up with some others and he followed them onto a vessel which set sail. During that time onboard the ship kaizen said how he learnt of their intentions to reach the island and carry out some plans. Once arriving upon the island and the group splitting up he told King that he was unsure of the larger groups intentions but they headed south and he choose to follow two individuals which lead him through to the cave systems. He noted that he still managed to follow them despite having problems with the visibility being reduced from the unusual thick mist. he finally caught King up with Kaizen choosing the sit here and meditate and that he too had only recently arrived on the island and within the last hour or so the one of the individuals had shown his face to which he then chose to observe hoping the second would show up too. He then stood up and placed a hand on Kings shoulder.....

I have been watching him closely for an hour or so, however I have yet to find his accomplice nor decipher their exact true intentions here In this mining community, perhaps you can be of assistance and maintain a careful watch on him whilst I have a little walk around to see if I can notice his friend, it will definitely by useful having help and together we can uncover their intentions as well as investigate their presence on this island for one thing I am certain about they are definitely up to something and I feel they wont care about all these individuals here in this mining community.

With that last exchange of words, Kaizen took one last glance over at the shady character and begun walking off in the direction of the market place in the hopes that he might engage with some locals, pretending to be interested within their wares whilst keeping a keen eye on anyone who may stand out due to their unusual behaviour.

King listened intently now, taking in every detail of Kaizen's story. It was one he hadn't expect but maybe he'd sensed it, that's what had drawn him to the man before him. A true tragedy had fallen upon this man's life but he was still calm, well held together, and king couldn't help but question it. Could it be that the training in the way of the monks of the fire temple had prepared him for such a loss and he was adept in handling such situations? Or was it simply that he held his grief in check by keeping his mind focused, on either answers or revenge. One way or another, his eyes held focus when it came to discussing the details of the island and this is where king's focus now lied. He'd traveled through the mist above, and even he with all his training had struggled and would have been lost without the help of his eyes. Now here he was, hearing of a large group that had optionally split up above ground without hesitation and had plans for the island, not caring about the mist. Now what could lay to the south, what was going on here? Now Kaizen rose to his feet, ready to make his move, but just before he did, King held out his right hand placing it on Kaizen's right shoulder as he went to move, holding him in place for a moment before he could proceed with his pursuit.

"I'm sorry for your loss, and it's never easy, and we all need closure. I can't pretend to know how you must feel or what must be going through your head right now, but i will say this. Consider me your ally, we will find your answers and i promise... if it costs me my life... i wont let anything happen to these people..."

He never breaks eye contact as he speaks, leaving a smile on his face with the last of his words as he lowered his hand once more and left Kaizen to move through the crowd in pursuit, leaving king with his own thoughts in how to proceed. Now, what he knew so far was there was a mist that never faded, animals that were possessed in a weird way, and an oppressed people that were made to fear ever leaving these mines. The answers to all his questions would now lie with one of these men, yet he only had one in his grasp, but how to go about gathering the information. The quick and easy option would be to go invisible and sneak up and try and listen in, but then what if he had a way to sense king? It could cause an unnecessary altercation putting the innocent people in harms way. The other method would be just a direct approach with a friendly manor, to test his reactions, but once again, without knowing much about the man, he had no idea how he would react to this. King was assuming these men were the ones that were responsible for the massacre at the fire temple, and it would take someone with blood thirsty resolve to do such a deed like that. Even the thought of such brutality made king feel a bit sick on the inside as he found himself clenching his fists. He realized and soon relaxed his hand a little. Now he thought about it from a civilian sense, what way could he angle this so that it wouldn't come across as a threat or provocation to the man?

That's when it came to him. The one thing king always had to deal with was that people thought he was just a kid due to his appearance, but now was the time to play this to his advantage. He placed his staff on the ground for a moment and looked around, it was near the man he saw several children playing a game of tag near to where the man was stood. He walked over with a big grin on his face and decided to play along.

"Hey, can i play, this looks like fun"

They all stopped, looked at him and then looked at each other. One of the kids, about the same height as king with long dark hair walked up to him, stood one food away from him, looking him in the eye. Then suddenly swung his right hand around hitting king on his shoulder...

"Tag... you're it!"

And with that the kid ran off. It took King a moment of confusion to realize, he had his answer, he was playing. Now this would be an easy game usually, with his ninja reflexes and battle training, catching any one of these kids would be an easy task. But that wasn't his goal here. The man was watching him, so king went along with it, chasing after one of the girls as though he was trying to get her, even faking tripping up to make it seem as though he was clumsy. After a few moments of this charade the man turned away, pressing buttons on his phone and king continued to play. And that was his opportune moment to act. He now, unknowingly to one of the boys, would chase him, but in a sneaky way so that he only had one direction to go, towards the man. Like herding sheep, he guided this boy, then as he was about to run into the man king shouted...

"I'm gonna get you!"

Instinctively the boy spun around mid run to look to see if king was close but in that moment he ran clean into the man, knocking him down and the phone out of his hand. A child's mistake, clearly. King not being able to stop his momentum ended up piling on top of them both as they lay on the ground, all wrapped up in the man's cloak. Now he had to act quick while the man tried to make sense of what happened, he grabbed the man's phone and flipped it open and read through it quick, catching words, phrases, clues, he didn't have time to read it all but he read enough.

"Fire temple... no more"
"Provisions ready... south base"
"Suspect followed... in mines with us"
"Eliminate... any means necessary"
Now the man pushed the boys off him swearing and thrashing then pushing himself to his feet looking angry as he looked around, king rolled over onto his front pushing himself up then as he stood, he held out the phone, closed now, palm open offering the phone to the man.

"I'm so sorry sir... is this yours? That was my fault... i'm sorry"

The man snatched the phone from the boy then ushered them to go away in an angry manor, and both kind and the boy got up and ran away back into the crowd. King now headed towards where his staff was as he looked back to see the man now look at his phone. For a moment, the man opened his phone then looked at it, confused. What was wrong with him. Was it a new message? What was going on. Then the man's head snapped up in the direction of king, he was looking for him in the crowd. Now he shouted over everyone else in the room, demanding silence with his voice echoing as everyone turned to look at him.

"Very clever your little shit... but don't take me for a fool... reading my messages were you...."

King stopped frozen now, facing the other direction to the man, how did he know?

"Next time don't open a message i haven't seen.... now where is that monk you seemed to be all buddied up with? Huh? Well it matters not. I don't care who you are... and another monk on the body count just ties up the loose ends... play time is over..."

Kaizen walked from market stool, to the next pretending that he was a curious potential buyer who couldn't make up his mind whether or not he wanted to purchase any wares, in doing so he built up conversation quite quickly with the stool owners which he then turned to his advantage and changed the topic quickly. He began asking questions in peculiar ways as to not rouse any suspicion from anyone who might be near by and attempted to gather information about several individuals that had been reported to have recently entered the underground mine, but unfortunately he did not find anything specific that would stand out to the individuals he was looking for. He continued to then wander around the area continuously looking carefully at the surrounding people as they go about their business and then he heard the sound of children laughing and screaming as they were playing their games. He looked over in the general direction to then see king suddenly run into the individual he was keeping an eye on, and as their collision turned into something more, he could hear the guy shout out in anger, showing he knew that king was no simple child.

It was at this point Kaizen noticed from across a crowd of people eyes from the shadows was watching him, it was the guy he was looking for and they exchanged an intense look as they both confirmed who each other was. He was one of the individuals that he had followed back from the temple. The individual then jumped up above the crowd and descended upon Kaizen with a Spear in hand pointing it directly at his chest with the intent of finishing kaizen in a single blow.

You are a rather annoying monk, to have followed me all this way, but worry not I shall finish you here..

As the spear tip come close towards Kaizen, he simply side stepped the attack where the individual landed, and continued his assault. Kaizen continued to then dodge a series of thrusts but was being pushed back towards a wall. Now with the wall at his back kaizen took a simple gaze behind him to measure the distance and allowed his opponent to deliver a thrust to his side. However unaware of this, the opponents spear actually missed kaizen completely and lodged itself within a crack on the wall and kaizen had actually grabbed the spear pretending to give the illusion that he had been stabbed. He looked up at the attacker smirked and raised his left leg up into the air and drove it down through the shaft of the spear breaking it and rendering his weapon useless.

You will have to do a lot better than that to kill me, your going to tell me all that you know about what happened at the temple ….

As if I will tell you anything monk, if you want the answers you will have to take them from my dead body...

With the short exchange of words, Kaizen then proceeded to engage his target attacking with an array of taijutsu that his opponent equally dodged and returned, neither giving each other the opportunity to strike a clean blow. As they both entangled with each other, a crowd of people began to form watching the two combatants fight it. a few more seconds passed and kaizen finally landed a spinning kick to his opponents chest, propelling him through a market stool and into the side of a shack, causing pots and ornaments to come crashing down upon him. From within the debris a angry roar rose up and the words of a jutsu was called out

with the subsequent technique, wind blew the debris from his body and flinging it towards kaizen and the onlooking crowd. The cries of the crowd burst out as peoples curiosity now turned into horror and they began to start running away in fear of their life. Kaizen noticing that the onlookers were now in danger, drew several kunai and launched them with precision to strike several pieces of debris to break them up or alter their course to avoid any civilian casualties. It had now become clear that it was too dangerous to properly fight or contain his opponent within this mine and he knew he had to finish this quickly before someone truly got hurt. His opponent then came charging at him with a fist fall of rage and somehow landed a punch to kaizen knocking him back to the ground and taking advantage of his distraction. He then proceeded to press kaizen following up with drawing a sword and jumping up and down towards kaizen who lay flat on the ground. watching as his opponent came down kaizen quickly rolled himself onto his shoulders, with his hands pressed on the ground, he retracted his legs and flung himself up into his opponents body winding him with the force of the blow and flicked him slightly further into the air. Kaizen then wrapped his legs around his opponents body and drove him into the ground performing the peregrine falcon drop.

Kaizen walked from market stool, to the next pretending that he was a curious potential buyer who couldn't make up his mind whether or not he wanted to purchase any wares, in doing so he built up conversation quite quickly with the stool owners which he then turned to his advantage and changed the topic quickly. It was all moving so fast now, everything around king, the man's words echoed in his head, about the monk, how he said "play time is over", and now a disgusting smile across his face. What was going on. But they he followed the man's gaze. His ally, or accomplice was leaping through the air with a spear aimed at Kaizen. King went to shout out but it seemed he didn't need to, the monk swiftly dodged the spear, thrust after thrust, the combat was intense. The crowd spread and king lost sight for moments as he was only short. He was almost certain he should go and help the monk, but did he need it. Rubble came down from the ceiling due to the ferocity of their exchange, but kunai and shuriken knocked them off track just in time to save a few of the bystanders. This was enough to make the crowd panic, they began to run and try and move out of the way. The guards appeared in the tunnels trying to get everyone out of the room to safety, but there was so much confusion, no one knew what was going on and others stood motionless lost in the scene before them of the monk and the man fighting, even king had been distracted by it. Though now he was on alert, the man that was before him, the one that had the phone swung at him with a short sword, king didn't know where it came from but he jumped back just in time, the sword slicing through the cloth of his robes as he did so. How could he be so careless. So many distraction, he need to be careful. The man now proceeded with slash after slash, king dodged, weaved, drew a kunai to deflect other slashes. He'd seen from the other fight going on that he couldn't use his full strength, it wasn't safe.

King was creating some distance now, but it that's when a scream drew his attention. A small child, one he'd played tag with, a rock from the roof coming down. No time. King threw his kunai at the man's foot, pinning it to the ground as he leapt through the air in the direction of the child, arms out, grabbing her, spinning in the air so he landed on his back, pulling the child out of the way as the rock caught his ankle, sending a shooting pain through his leg causing king to cry out in pain. A man came over to him asking him if he was ok as he let go of the child pushing her towards the man.

"I'm fine... take her.... it's not safe.... GO!!!"

And with that the man picked up the girl, he didn't need to be told twice, making his way towards the way king had entered this area. King sat up pushing the rock away looking at his ankle, it had already swollen to twice it's size. Probably sprained. Dammit, it couldn't of happened at a worse time. Out of the corner of his eye he could see the monk still in combat with the man, blade being swung at him too. He wouldn't be able to help. King leaned back drawing his knees to his chest to then spring his legs up and forwards, bringing his torso up, landing on his un injured right leg. His left foot on the ground but his right holding his body weight, even the touch of his left foot touching the ground sent a shock though him. The pain making him sweat, but he couldn't just lie down in defeat. The man was pulling the kunai out of his foot with a shriek throwing it away, now looking on at king, who was on his feet.

"You little shit... you're gonna pay for that... but it seems you are in no position to stand up to me... haha... pathetic, you might of had a chance against me if you didn't waste your leg on a little brat like that... foolish... they don't matter, they will live here, in depression.. afraid of out... the mist... grow old and die or get ill and die, or maybe they will get lucky and one of the beasts of this island will have a nice lunch..."

"Shut the hell up!!!!"

King cut him off, his voice carrying around the entire room causing people to freeze to see what was going on, forgetting about their escape.

"I don't give a f*ck who you think you are... or how you think your life matters more than theirs.... that's bullshit.... every life has equal value and i wont put mine above theirs! I'll lay my life on the line if it means i can save a single one of these people...One way or another... you... your friends... you're all going down... "

The man now burst out laughing at king, he was enjoying this.

"Oh, their life matters more does it? Well... little boy... lets put that to the test... lets see if you stand by your words... Hiashi... come... it's time...."

With that, the man named Hiashi who kaizen had been fighting leapt from the stall/market building down towards his ally and into the the tunnel system, the man king was fighting leapt backwards with a grin on his face, bringing his hands together and looked king in the eyes.

"Share their fate...."

King heard a noise, dust feel from above, he looked up seeing cracks form throughout the entire ceiling, spreading all around. No it couldn't be. There were still too many people here, a moment later, the entire roof began to break apart in giant boulders, dropping down all around.

(Doton: Iwa Yado Kuzushi) - Earth Release: Stone Lodging Destruction
Type: Supplementary
Rank: C
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 15
Damage: N/A (up to 60)
Descripton: The user will do one hand seal and cause nearby earth structures (either natural occurring ones on the field (such as cave ceilings, cliffs, etc), man made (buildings, etc) or jutsu made (up to C-Rank active structures)) to collapse and fall. This technique allows the ninja to control nearby stone and rock and dislodge any vulnerable or sensitive spots, causing the structure to collapse. This can be especially useful if in a cave or a stone lodging. The technique can loosen the rocks and cause them to come raining down on whomever is trapped inside. The damage depends on the size of the cavern or rock lodging above or nearby the target and not on the amount of chakra used which doesn't need to be high. A large cave with a thick ceiling can easily do the physical damage equivalent to an A-Rank technique but due to the damage not being focused or chakra fueled, its also easily defendable.

King couldn't get everyone out, the only think in such a small space was bide more time, no matter the cost, he had to protect these people. He stood, raising his arms upwards, he placed his injured food on the ground to stable his balance, the pain shooting through him was near on unbearable, but he had to do this. Was it his drive that pushed him past his limits or just pure adrenaline? It didn't matter, he had one goal and that was to save these people. Now holding his hands up, he released his chakra around his entire hands, causing his hands and arms to grow to be huge, steel hands, the palms of the hands together as the giant steel fingers spread across the ceiling holding where the cracks had spread. The hands may have been giant steel constructs that would of weighed more than king could have lifted, but with his chakra he was able to hold them in place and with it the roof. But for how long could he keep this up.

The cracks spread within the ceiling and it began to break apart, kings giant hands holding them though. But with each bit that broke away, though it didn't fall, it was added to the weight that he was having to hold, the effort of maintaining his chakra at these levels, holding such a weight, it was intense. He held hit, his entire body tense, his teeth gritted, his eyes clenched shut. His right leg was growing weak. He put some of the weight of it all on his left leg but it was no use, his left leg buckle due to the intense pain as king cried out dropping to his knee. More of the roof came loose as the giant hands dropped a few inches with kings movement, the weight increasing. His chakra was getting low. His entire body shaking, sweating. He opened one eye, seeing the last of the people still leaving the area. His arms began to go numb, lowering, the roof came pushing down... he was fading...

"No.... must... protect.... all...."

With this his body stopped shaking, he pushed up with all his effort, all his chakra, he forced the roof back up, standing to both his feet now planted on the ground, and he held it, in that moment, he was motionless, the pain was gone, the drain on his body, he'd passed his limits, this was more than just his chakra, this was his dying will. If he was going to go out, he would give it all and keep his word. Moments or a decade could of passed before a voice of a guard shouted in the distance "All clear... get out of there". King snapped back to that moment, opened his eyes, the room was clear, Kaizen the only one moving through the place. King smiled. He'd done it. His body faded, he released his arms, from the steel arms, falling backwards now to the ground, fading, he smiled. He'd done what he said he would. Maybe he'd atoned for his sins in doing this, who knew. He accepted that he was going to die under the rubble that was about to fall... but that was ok... his vision faded as he passed out from exhaustion....

(Koton: kigokoro no Metallicana) - Steel release: temperament of Metallicanna
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary/Attack/
Range: short - mid
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: 60
Description: This jutsu is based of the basic steel release jutsu, where the user will release more chakra from their body to create steel constructs. But instead of creating the pillars and such, this creates more steel surrounding the users body parts giving the impression that that body part has grown. For example, if the user uses this on their arm, it would look like their arm had grown to a desired size made of steel, similar to akimichi jutsu but through steel creations. This maximum size of this is to reach up to mid range (15m) and be to scale in all other aspects. The user can choose to use this on a single body part or multiple, like both his legs ect, or one arm and one leg or just his chest. The user will need to describe this when using this jutsu and must follow logic. Though the size is increased the user is able to manipulate this as though it was still his own arm due to his chakra being in the construct surrounding his body part. This also acts a an armor of sorts being a solid form of A rank steel surrounding the user.

As Kaizen makes chase after Hiashi who is attempting to re-join his fellow teammate, kaizen couldn't help but quickly look on at King who was giving a good fight against his opponent but also showing he was willing to risk his life for the villagers within the mine as he dived for a child to save her from a rock falling from the ceiling. He noticed how king was so determined with his efforts it made him curious about his past, however his attention soon drew back to Hiashi who was nearly at his team mates side and was throwing a barrage of shuriken towards Kings direction and Kaizen wasn't going to allow him to get a sneak attack in on his friend so with a quick burst of chakra released from his feet, kaizen enhanced his speed even greater to get in front of the barrage of shuriken and stopped them in their tracks by spewing out a large fireball that burnt the shuriken to a crisp and resulted in catching Hiashi on his left arm, burning it and causing him to bleed a little.

(Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu) - Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique
Type: Offensive
Rank: C
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 15
Damage: 30
Description: After performing the necessary hand seals Snake → Ram → Monkey → Boar → Horse → Tiger, a ninja inhales air, and utilizing a large amount of fire chakra, spews a large fireball from their mouth after blowing through a ring made by the thumb and index finger of the user, incinerating everything in range. The fireball ignites externally. The fire ball can present itself in 2 forms: it can either be created by a stream of fire and sustained as a gigantic ball of flames in front of the user spanning up to short range or be released as a slightly smaller ball of fire which will travel towards the enemy up to mid range.

At this point hiashi though hurt, managed to evade the attack enough to make his escape down one the tunnels where his accomplice also followed him down and kaizen noticed the trail of blood scattered on the floor. From within the tunnel the words could easily be heard with the intent clear, the ceiling of the mine began to rumble and crack as small boulders of stone and rock became dislodged from the ceiling. Soon larger pieces followed suit and Kaizen noticed King begin responding with conjuring his might to perform his technique and errect steel hands upwards towards the ceiling in an attempt to hold it and stop it from collapsing. Kaizen could tell he was doing a good job but it wasn't enough, there was still villagers within the vicinity, some small children and elderly were trying to flee but a few of them fell over and kaizen knew he needed to act fast.

(Doton: Chidōkaku) - Earth Release: Moving Earth Core
Type: Supplementary/Defensive
Rank: A
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 30
Damage: N/A
Description: The user slams his hands on the ground and lowers or raises the ground in the surrounding area at high speeds, allowing them to create giant holes in the ground or avoid attacks. The size of the affected area as well as the depths that it is lowered to is up to the user and rising earth can be done up to 20 meters tall creating a small cliff or they can create trenches that can be as deep as 20 meters. Other than being moved below ground relative to the surrounding surface the terrain is not altered, plant life and people retaining their same positions.

Kaizen cried out his intent releasing a surge of carefully controlled chakra into the ground as his hand slammed hard down onto the surface of the mine to then cause several large pillars of earth to rise up swiftly from the ground and connect with the majority ceiling stopping it within its tracks. However again this was not enough as the resulting enemies technique had dislodged lots of earth to reveal a large boulder that was loose within the ceiling to then become free from its confines and fall down towards a now feinting King. A little girl run over towards King shouting her little heart out...

Mister look out above you!!!!

Kaizen couldn't let the boulder fall any further, so he burst up into the air towards the falling object with one hand raised he called upon his mastery of the Yin-Yang Element to carefully and precisely control his chakra to simultaneously utilize multiple natures and within his risen hand he released earth natured chakra to then alter the physical properties of the boulder, and reducing its overall mass weight making it light as a feather, and within his other hand he channelled lightning chakra to create a current of electricity that he then raised up at the boulder and released throughout practically disintegrating it into a cloud of dust as it slowly descended onto the ground below. The cries of the villagers rung out throughout the halls as they became overjoyed with delight.

(Doton: Keijūgan no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Light Weight Rock Technique
Type: Supplementary
Rank: A
Range: Short
Chakra: 30
Damage: N/A (-20 if used to boost speed of a physical attack)
Description: Contrary to its counterpart (the Earth Release: Added-Weight Rock Technique), instead of making the target heavier, this technique makes it much lighter, though still using the same principle and mechanics. The user will make direct contact with the given target (through his hands), infusing them with earth chakra and lowering their weight drastically. The technique can lower a targets weight up to 10 times less than it originally had. This allows freer manipulation of the affected objects, which would normally carry considerably more weight and as such, require a greater amount of exertion to move. The technique can be used on the user or other shinobi to increase their speed, but as a consequence of using it this way, it results in the decrease of the physical force of their blows. The same principle applies if used on a physical attack which will be faster but will carry less momentum and as such, less physical damage. It doesn't change the "strength" of binding techniques (like Sand Release), where the user is manipulating a dynamic element but will decrease the impact damage of techniques that rely on it.
Note: The initial effects last for 2 turns or until countered.

(Raiton: Chidori Nagashi) - Lightning Release: One Thousand Birds Current
Type: Offensive/Defensive
Rank: A
Range: Short (Mid if channeled through a medium)
Chakra: 30
Damage: N/A (+10 if used to boost weapon damage)
Description: This jutsu allows the user to generate non-focused electricity from their body. It can be used as an omnidirectional attack or be channeled through weapons, the ground or other conductive mediums. Because the electricity isn't focused, it doesn't kill on contact, instead it has great numbing and paralyzing effects. To channel Nagashi through a medium, the user needs to focus the technique into one of his hands which will then be put in contact with the medium and can only choose to either do a widespread attack throughout his whole body or to channel it into something; he cannot achieve both usages at the same time. Despite not having much destructive or damaging properties, Nagashi can be used to destroy low rank earthen and wooden structures and even negate chakra on the ground to stop high ranked earth and wood techniques. It has also been noted that Lightning Specialists that have mastered Lightning to the highest degree can resist total paralyzation, although they still feel the pain and numbing effects.
Note: Paralyzation lasts 1 turn if sucessful but is ineffective against bios who have a primary Lightning Specialty

with the situation now dealt with it was for the moment it was not important to worry about the enemy as more pressing matters were at hand, there were several injured children and elderly villagers laying on the ground, along with King who was in a weakened state from chakra exhaustion. He then approached King who lay on the floor with the little girl resting his head on her lap.

We saved them king, there are a few injured but they should be okay, the enemy escaped in the confusion however I managed to injure one of them and that has resulted in leaving a trail of blood, so don't worry for now rest up for a little recover your chakra and when your ready we shall make our pursuit

after speaking suddenly the room lit up from some form of natural light, a cool gentle breeze blew down from above, Kaizen looked up at the ceiling of the mine and noticed where the large boulder had been, now a large whole took its place, an entrance to the outside had opened up and the glimmer of sunlight broke through the mist above to illuminate the area around them, the wind even blew down fresh moisture and drew out some the staleness of the mine, the air began to clear within the mine. The villagers who fled the area returned to tend to the injured and a young lady came over to King and began to clean and bandage up his leg, there wasn't much damage but a simple treatment would heal the wound up. Kaizen then sat down upon a rock, took out a canister of water and drank from it and watched as the villagers took care of each other. Kaizen looked on in delight as the humanity shown warmed his heart and drew back some old memories of the kindness shown to him by his brother monks back at the fire temple....

King sat at a chair now, his ankle and leg bound, but the pain had subsided. After eating and having drank, his stamina was beginning to return to him now. He sat and looked around, people were busy helping each other, fixing any damage, kids playing once more, people talking about the steel hands and the pillars Kaizen had created, all appreciating that king and kaizen were there, though, it seemed like it was their fault in a way, engaging the two. There was no time to worry about that though, king had seen things on the man's phone, their reaction, what kaizen had told king about following them here to this island, this mist, it was all too much to let slide now. King sat and heard how the two had escaped, but one had been left injured, leaving a trail of blood for them to follow.

"It seems we have no choice in this Kaizen, we need to finish what we started, but we don't know what we are up against right now. But i have a few skills of my own that can help with this. We've done what we can here, but we must go now before it's too late."

With that king rose to his feet, it was still a bit sore but he could walk on his ankle. He thanked the people that had helped him and beckoned to kaizen to move with him, heading towards the tunnel where the two had escaped. No one had wanted to come down this way since the two men had left, it had been too dangerous, and now kaizen and king disappeared into the tunnel following the trail of blood, leading to the surface. As they walked the silence lingered heavy on king, but he kept walking, looking forwards, but decided he owed some answers.

"You should know... i've not always been a good person you know.... i need to make a amends... you told me about the fire temple and why you're here, but you deserve to know why i am. They call me king as i was the leader of part of my clan, part of a clan that lived in forest older than people remember. I was chosen for my skills and... well other abilities as you've seen. People didn't really know much about us, we were a mystery, one that kept them out of the forest. The didn't like what they didn't understand and left us alone, give us the name "faeries", and with that, i became known as the Faerie King. My name is Harlequin, but now i just go by the name of king. I've always liked to see more of the world than just the forest, it's so big, so much to see, so many wonders, how could i not? But... i wasn't there when i should of been, i let them down... my home, my people... they are gone... all from a single beast. The ifrit. Demonic, destructive, i returned, i tried to fight it... i couldn't beat it... i was weak... but i wont fail again... not here. I've trained, i'll find it... i'll beat it... i will atone... i am The Grizzly Sin of Sloth... King..."

In that moment his words reverberated, he was lost in his own story, his own determination. But he knew what he had to do. They now reached the end of the tunnel where the entrance had been broken open. It was clear they had left from here. With the mist hiding much, it would be impossible to track by normal methods. They saw a drop or two of blood heading in a general direction to the east, Kaizen made to follow, but king held out his hand to stop him.

"We can't just head out there and hope to find them, but, i have a way to..."

King held up his hand, facing in the direction of the blood, and activated his Byakugan. From here he focussed, using his ocular powers to look through the mist, out in that general direction scoping the area until he found something of interest. He searched the general area, and as he did he spoke:

"A mile in that direction. There is a small... garrison... walls... buildings... all on the surface... about 30 people there, several with higher chakra than normal... guards posted... though... not as centries... they must think the mist protects them... a small building with a table that looks like it's for planning... it seems none of this is coincidence..."

He releases his Byakugan and turns to Kaizen.

"It seems there is more to this than we ever expected. So how do you feel, about being a distraction? I've got a little plan..."

Kaizen having sat down and taken a breather and a drink, watched as king also sat besides him. He told king that he had noticed how the injured enemy had left them a trail of blood leading down and out the passage way and that they could use this to their advantage and follow them. King explained that they couldnt let them get away and that it was time for them to make their pursuit. He rose up from his chair and ushured kaizen to get himself up to and begin to take action. Kaizen then gathered his thoughts, his possessions and rose up to follow. He took a casual glance around the surroundings and decided that for the moment the villagers and miners were safe and more than capable of dealing with themselves, and the two then made their way down the passageway that the enemy made their escape.

The blood trail, though not regular is still more than enough for us to follow them, they seem to have been slightly careless in their escape

making their way down the passageway the pair carefully analysed the floor keeping a keen eye on the blood drops that lay upon the dusty ground. They stood out like a sore thumb as the cavern floor was dry and lacking in moisture, the blood left slightly darker markings. As they made their appoach to the end of the tunnel the light begin to illuminate the cavern exit and the mist that covers the outside bagin to seep in towards them. Kaizen and King after several minutes had made it outside of the tunnel network and out into the open. King began to tell kaizan of his past, his history and his reasonings for which Kaizen carefully and thoughtfully listened, intrigued by what he was telling him.

We all have our history, our demons if you like, but what remains most important is that we repent and we make up for those demons.

Taking a look around kaizen and king could gage the situation, the tracking would become even more harder as the mist lay thick, but not all was lost, for but a few drops of blood lay upon a few blades of grass, they drew their attention towards the east ands from what was apparent with normal sight within the mist, kaizen could at least tell the direction led into a forest.

It seems they made their way through the forest we could use that to our advantage and gain the element of suprise for im sure they are unknowing in our survival

as Kaizen began to make a move he then then turned to king as he told him that he had a means of tracking their location whilst holding his hand out in front of him. He activated his byakugan, kaizen drew curiosity from this, a hyuuga with one of the 3 great doujutsu abilities. He watched as king made use of his hidden talent and scanned the area up ahead of them revealing all that he saw. As king deactivated his eyes and turned to kaizen once more he asked kaizen if he wanted to act as a distraction to which he then replied simply with...

Explain this plan of yours

King was a bit taken aback by Kaizen's response, he hadn't judged him, tried to force his opinion on him, or tried the typical speech of how it wasn't king's fault, none of that, instead he just knew that the only thing to do was to move past it. It put a smile on kings face and he knew right now, that's what he was doing, so now it was time for the plan.

"Well, we don't know the full strength of this group, not numbers or anything like that, so right now our best bet is to try and gather information on them right? What better way than to steal their plans. They think this mist protects them but at the same time it could work to our advantage. You should approach from the east, use a distraction to pull them out without revealing yourself. If you have to take a few of them out, i wont complain after what they tried to pull. No matter what we do at this point it seems the people here wont be safe. I'll approach from the west, i'll set a trap and lure them out, you're familiar with the mud wolves technique i assume? From here i'll sneak into the room with the plans, take them, track you down with my byakugan and we can go from there. It seems the one you fought is in the complex too."

With that king pulled out a scroll and handed it over to Kaizen.

"This isn't the most modern means, but i don't know how well technology will work on this island or in this mist. If anything changes, we shall use these. Good luck, and well... try not to cause too much trouble... haha"

And with that king set off heading towards the west side of the garrison, keeping track of all movement with his byakugan. He checked the scroll of communication as he went to make sure kaizen was alright. When he reached his location he began setting up his ninjutsu trap, the classic mud wolves technique. Simple yet effective it would seem. With this, he then jumped into the trees near the garrison, observing the guards around. Now waiting for the signal on the scroll from kaizen, he sends a simple message: "Ready:

Kaizen standing patiently listning to the plan that King had decided to undertake and taking in the information to understand his role in the coming events as to make sure he got what king invisioned to happen. he nodded in agreement to the proposed plans and took the scroll of communications from kings hand and placed it in his left sleeve.

I understand the plan, i will play my part and distract as many guards as possible to give you a clear pathway into their encampment and secure their plans so that we can make a calculative plan ourselves based upon the information we find out.

With that exhange of conversation, king had taken his leave heading west of the encampment. Kaizen soon done the same heading up into the trees and east to the designated location for his plan of distractions. As he jumped through the trees he tried to plan out the best scenarios and methods to deploy to effectively draw as many guards as possible and minimalize the risk to king being caught or seen. As Kaizen soon reached the outskirts of the encampment, he began to carefully gauge the layout of the land, the guards and their patrol routes before he started to deploy his diversionary tactics. He jumped down from the canopy and began laying some trip wire that linked up a few kunai from a branch so that when a guard brushed past the tripwire it would trigger the responce and put the gaurd immediately on alert. With the trap now set kaizen picked up a stone and threw it towards a gaurds post catching the attention of one the sentries. He quickly withdrew a small distance and pulled out his scroll of communication to relay back to King that he was ready and carrying out the task at hand.

I have set up my first trap and i will begin luring the guards out, when enough of them have been drawn out i shall release up a signal flare to alert you when to act so be vigilent and hide until ready

Kaizen rolled the scroll back up, returned it back into his sleeve and then threw another rock towards a couple of guards who were on alert from the previous stone throw and began drawing them towards him. They began walking towards his direction, whilst kaizen carefully waited for the trap to be triggered. As soon as one the guards clipped the wire the kunai quickly shot down at them and struck one of them dead on his feet. The other in disbelief began to shout for back up and then within seconds several other guards began running out the gates, a few ordinary soldiers and then a couple of trained ninja making the distraction pretty effective. Kaizen threw a few more kunai in their direction and jumped into the trees making sure that the guards quickly followed him and drawing them further way. As some of the guards starting closing in on kaizen, he stopped gaining ground turned around and cast a genjutsu on the purusers creating an illusion where they were continously running in circles trying to find the source of the attack.

( Magen: Kokoni Arazu no Jutsu ) - Demonic Illusion: False Surroundings Technique
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 10 (+5 if you use it double)
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user casts an illusion over an area that allows him to manipulate the way an area looks to fool an opponent. He can only change the way the terrain looks, and not any other feature.

this allowed the guards to remain where they were standing and keep them occupied, however the two ninja who also gave pursuit were unfazed by the simple illusion, showing they had clearly got some skill and that it would not be an easy task to deal with them, so kaizen decided that it would be best to eliminate them so taking advantage of the element of surprise, he hid behind a tree and threw a few flash bangs out to blind the targets and in return use the flashbangs as the signal for king to begin his part of the task. Kaizen then drew his Kusarigama and jumped at the two ninja and delivering two stealthy strikes to their knecks killing them swiftly.

(Muon Satsujin Jutsu) - Silent Homicide Technique
Rank: D
Type:Attack
Range:Short-Mid
Chakra Cost:10
Damage Points:20
Description: Muon Satsujin Jutsu, the ability to commit a silent homicide, is a technique to dispatch your foe with no warning. Your quick speed and skills will instantly kill them before they can provide a defense. Best tactic is when used with Hidden Mist jutsu. The technique works by having the user focus his chakra and his complete attention on moving fluidly, rapidly but muffling any sound he may make while moving as well as his presence, etc. It doesn't suppress his chakra or hides it but it can make the opponent virtually undetected if he manages to get on the opponents blind spot.

with that the ninja were struck dead and their lifeless corpses fell to the ground, though he wanted to avoid killing anyone and that the mission was to get the information it was unfortunate but they needed to die, being ninja rather than regular guards could have proven a troublesome task if drawn into a direct fight and would remove their objective to distract the guards and sneak in to attain the information. Kaizen returned back to the safety of the canopy and awaited for communication from King via the communication scroll.

King waited in the trees, he received the message from Kaizen, and waited for the sign that it was time to go. A few moments later, he heard yells emanating from the other side of the camp, yells of an attack, more guards, their yells growing most distant. It would seem Kaizen was providing quite the distraction. It seemed the majority of the camp were now distracted, the main fighting force aiming to crush what ever was attacking them, but King could still see a couple of guards around the building he was looking to sneak into, yet, king was prepared for this. He decided to use an illusion of his own, he created a clone of himself at the gates of the camp, stopping, the clone would look shocked as though he didn't expect more guards and begin to run away out of the camp. Aiming to capture or kill the intruder, they gave chase out of the camp. This clone would lead to where the trap was previously set by king. The clone would run behind a tree, as the guards thought they almost caught up, the trap would trigger and wolves of mud would leap up all around them, attacking them over and over as they try to fight back with their shields and spears. Every cut or strike seemed to destroy the wolves, but only for a moment before they reformed.

( Kasumi Jūsha no Jutsu ) - Mist Servant Technique
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost:10
Damage Points: N/A
Description: This illusion creates numerous illusionary clones of the user that appear to emerge from the ground, trees, rocks, etc. If these clones are attacked, they appear to multiply. The user can co-ordinate his attacks with the clones to make it appear as if they are real.

(Doton: Doro Ookami) - Earth Release: Mud Wolves - reference
Type: Supplementary/Offensive
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra: 20 (+10 per reformed wolf)
Damage: 10 (per wolf attack)
Description: A trap technique in which the user will place somewhere and is activated upon contact with the opponent's chakra. The user uses a scroll to lay the trap in which releases mud that forms into the shape of wolves that will attack the enemy target/s. Despite being damaged the wolves can reform which can keep the enemy occupied to allow the enemy make a getaway. (Can only create a maximum of 3 mud wolves)
Note: Takes one turn to set the trap up and wolves only last two turns

With the last of the guards distracted and the camp in uproar, king would sink into the tree he was hiding in and travel through the ground, sensing what's going on around him, emerging out of the ground within the main room of the large building. He looked around before heading to the table where he had seen what looked like plans with his byakugan. On that he found a map. He looked at it trying to make sense of it, something seemed familiar about it.. but he could quite make sense of it... then it clicked and he stepped back in awe. He needed to Inform kaizen. He picked up the map rolled it up and rolled it up, looking around, found a torch then dropped it on the floor. At least with the building on fire, it would be hard for them to notice this map was gone. With that he sank back into the ground heading out of the camp but south now, leaving the chakra to fade out of the wolves so they return to regular mud. As he reached a good distance, he drew out his scroll and sent a message to Kaizen:

"All done, important news, meet me at the rendezvous point. Come quick."

With that King kept moving, he needed to share this news with kaizen, and quickly.

(Hiru Banshō: Bōka no Jutsu) - Leech All Creation: Attack Prevention Technique
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Long
Chakra cost: 20 (-5 per turn)
Damage points: N/A
Description: Using this jutsu, the user can merge with another passive object and take on its properties to avoid any damage. While merged, the user is virtually undetected unless the enemy has a doujutsu. Even chakra sensors won't be able to pinpoint the users position. The limitation of the technique is that to use a technique and mold chakra, the user must fully unmerge although doing so doesn't produce any sound and the user can only be sensed once fully unmerged. The user is still aware of the world outside the object and can travel inside it at his normal running speed. The technique was used so far by 3 ninjas (Yamato, Orochimaru and Uchiha Madara) but as an advanced ninjutsu, it can be used by any skilled enough ninja.
Note: the user must be Sannin Rank and above
Note: Orochimaru and Yamato can use it 5 times per battle, Uchiha Madara can use it 3 times, other ninjas can use it twice.
Note: Cannot merge into mediums which aren't tangible

Kaizen waiting patiently up in the tree canopy, overlooked the encampment and keeping vigilant eye contact with the movements. He noticed that several gaurds were still within the centre of the encampment and that king would require distracting them too, should he wish to get closer to their goal. He made more observations around the perimiter to ensure no reinforcements or patrols were returning and to also keep an eye on those guards whom he placed under a genjutsu were still pre-occupied. He was satisfied all was well on his side and continued to watch over the camp. Waiting a few minutes kaizen could see a figure much like king enter into the camp and catch the attention of the guards and lured them out.

It was at this point kaizen knew, king had made his move he took out the communication scroll and patiently waiting for kings message. within a few further minutes passing, smoke and fire began to rise from the centre of the camp, clearly this was a means of covering kings tracks but kaizen couldnt help but think to himself surely this was meant to be a stealthy mission and that the fire could potentially draw in more guards or patrols, however it also meant that the goal was achieved and looking down upon the communication scroll king had sent over his message with a somewhat urgent tone that sparked kaizens curiosity but also his concern. Kaizen rolled the scroll back up, placed it within his sleeve and began making his way south away from the encampment to a rendervous point.

Several minutes passed and kaizen moving through the tree canopy came to a small opening with a single large boulder protruding from the ground, he jumped down landing on the boulder, taking a quick observation around the perimeter and could tell he was the only one there and king had yet to arrive. Taking the oppotunity for a quick refreshment, kaizen took out his water container and took a few drops of water, but he still maintained a careful observation of his surroundings just incase some enemies or spies were lurking but also to notice Kings arrival.

It seems all went well with our plan, you said you had something important to tell me?

Finally Kaizen arrived, which, surprisingly, King was relieved that he was unharmed. He quickly asked how his side of the plan had gone before he decided to proceed. He drew out the scroll that he'd taken off the table and looked at Kaizen.

"I went into the building and found this. Things here are a lot worse than we thought...."

With that he unrolled the scroll to reveal a well detailed map, giving Kaizen a moment to look over it to see if he came to the same conclusion...

"It's this island... those markings in the middle is the mining community, and based off what i saw with my byakugan and the direction we traveled, this small bit here, that was the camp we just retrieved this map from. This isn't some small operation.... something seemed off since we got here... this mist, the fear of the people... how the ones you were following split off into two groups, why would they do that on a dangerous island? They wouldn't, this is all their doing! I'd put my money on that this mist is their doing as well. You can see there are various locations on the map, small settlements or bases like the one we just hit... it must be an organization, the biggest camp in here... this must be their main base."

He gestured towards the points he mentioned, the largest one being on the north of the island.

"I don't know what they are up to, but going off what happened back in the mines and to the fire temple it can't be good. I'm sure that base we just hit will recover and try and warn the other bases. Or even go after the mining community. We need to act quickly... you know what we must do... though... the odds are against us... what do you say?"

Summary: This will be a story of how Nate meets Gajeel and Kaizen, through this landmark as he joins the WSE and how he happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, eventually stumbling upon them and a new alliance is formed protecting a large subjugated population and protecting them from danger on a unified front. While Nate will be in the search of a long lost treasure.

“But afterwards there occurred violent earthquakes and floods; and in a single day and night of misfortune all your warlike men in a body sank into the earth, and the island of Atlantis in like manner disappeared in the depths of the sea.”
― Plato, Timaeus/Critias

San’indō Island, the mist was thick, so thick that you could almost slices out of it. The nature itself simple, just plain grass fields and some trees and small forestated areas. The general thought was that the island did not have much to offer, however there were small settlements and mining colonies. To the north of the island, there was a considerably large caravan, making its way into a large encampment. The dust behind their wheels rose above the ground mixing with the mist, the man covered in a bag could not see what was going on around him, but he could hear everything happening around him. Some of the men sitting next to him talked about the sacking of the fire temple and how they had retrieved certain items from the area, however they did not reveal anything about their plans of the island or why they had brought him here. He could hear guards outside the wagons, some were close, must be sentries placed outside the gate he just heard open, he could also hear several voices above, sounded like they were standing on a considerably tall wall. Probably heavily guarded. As the caravan entered the encampment or fort or what it was, he could hear the switch from dirt to rock ground beneath, at least he could feel it as the wagon began to rumble more. They came to a halt, he could hear marching, the door was opened to the wagon. He was pulled out and carried across the area, barely walking himself. He tried to map out the area just a little by hearing what was going on, must have been dozens of men in here, maybe more, and before he was pulled into a building he could swear he heard iron hitting rock with a resounding echo, almost as if there was a mine in here.

He was dragged into a chair and bound tightly to it. He always carried his ring around his neck, but they had taken all of the other belongings that he had with him, including a compass. Soon, before much more was to be revealed, the bag was taken off his face.

“Fellas…” a smirk appeared on his face.

“Nathan Drake, in the flesh, legendary treasure hunter, explorer, historian… thief.”

“Woah, hey… I think you have me confused with somebody else pal.” Nathan said with a somewhat confused look on his face.

“The man responsible for finding El Dorado, Shambala and Henry Averys’ treasure.”

“Ah… then yea okay that’s me.”

The big scrawny man in front of Nate, walked up to him, he was bald, not because of the lack of hair growth but because he cut it, damn, what kind of man would bald himself intentionally, thought Nate.

“Last night an antiquities collector held a private auction in the Land of Noodles, an item of great value was stolen, an item by employer rightfully purchased… so imagine my surprise, when I find out that Nathan Drake is in town.”

“hehehe, sounds like quite a coincidence.” Nate replied.

“I’d say… tell me what exactly this is?” The big scrawny bald guy looked down at the compass.

“That is a compass, perhaps we can use it to find this fella a haircut that didn’t go out last decade.” Nate started chuckling, while the others in the room followed suit.

“You are a funny guy… where is it?” The bald guys demeanor changed entirely, he looked angry, though he tried to look angrier than he really was, almost looked like he was trying to hold in the poop.

“Look, I don’t know what it is your looking for, but I don’t have it.”

“My employer… is not a man you want to cross, you already made him quite angry.”

“I do tend to have that effect on people.” Nate said it with honesty in his voice, kind of admitting it really that he had that effect on many people.

“Let’s try this once more shall we, before I violently remove something you care deeply about.”

“So… does that mean if I care deeply about you, you will leave?” Nate was obviously buying time but also trying to lighten the mood, seeing he was in quite the predicament.

“Hehehe… okay, okay… lets see how cooperative you are after a little time with the Bull.”

The bald man and several others began to step back while he went to open a door, the rest of the guys smiling and looking at Nate as if he had just gotten out of the fire and into the frying pan.

“the what?” Nate said with a confused expression.

The silence in the room really built up the suspense for him, Nate thought he was in quite the trouble, he whisper, “Are you getting all this…” and just a few moments later a voice in his head responded, “Oh yea, loud and clear kid, I’m surveying the place now, give me some time to get it all down… just keep those guys busy for a little while longer.”

“Easy for you to say, you are not about to get your finger removed from some guy called the bull.”

“I’m not sure that’s the body part they are thinking of removing.”

Before their conversation could continue, the men began to enter the room again where Nate was chained up. Those guys looked huge, muscular, very strong and scary, some of them even had tattoos. It was at this moment, the bull entered, the instant he entered, it was like a sudden relief washed over Nate, the guy was half the size of the others, smaller even he looked nothing like a bull, just some guy whom had a stupid reputation.

"Hohooo… that’s the bull?... hahahaha, thank god, guys… oh my… haha… seriously you got me, well presented I was scared”

“Have fun.” Said the bald man, as he left the room, for the bull to go to work.

“Hey there little guy, what do you wanna be when you grow up?”

He pulled out some brass knuckles.

“Oh crap.” Before anything else could happen, he was punched straight to his face, and his body several times, it felt like he was being hit by bricks.

“Jesus Christ, what are they feeding you.” Another powerful punch straight to the face, sent his mind floating.
The punching continued for a long time, it only got worse by the minute, the internal damage, the bruising and the headache was growing larger by the moment.

“Wait, wait, wait, wait… I don’t want to micro manage this thing, but I think you are supposed to be asking questions in between the punching.”

He grabbed Nate by the hair, pulling his head back, while holding his fist in front of him.

“I consider this a privilege you bastard, I hear there are many men who would pay a great deal to spend some time alone with you.”

Nate just stared at him completely baffled by what he had just said.

“Awkward…” Two straight punches to his stomach, made Nate cough severely. What the ‘bad guys’ had failed to notice, was the pin in the compass was gone. Nate was in the process of picking the lock to his chains behind his back, and while he had been working on it, the guy in his ear, was someone over a walkie-talkie, and he had just informed Nate about the layout of the ‘fort’ and where exactly to go. Just as the chain clicked, Nate was free, and before the bull noticed what had happened, Nate had pulled his arm and deliver a palm strike to his throat, grabbing him in the had and throwing him into the other guy. It did not take long however, before the two other guys standing around began to fist fight Nate, the punches delivered both ways before one of them grabbed a hold of Nate from behind. He had to think fast, the other guy was coming to knock him out, he jumped up and kicked him with both feet in the chest sending him back. At that same moment, he tried to grab the guy holding him by his head but instead he accidently ripped off his pony-tail. Absolutely disgusting he threw it at the other bearded guy, he was angered. In that moment he threw a punch which Nate just barely dodged, the guy behind him did not though, sending him to the floor. The fight continued as Nate was in an arm lock by the last guy, he managed to turn around and headbutt him straight at his forehead. Nate stumbled back for a moment.

“Owwww…. Do not try this, guys… it’s not worth it… god dammit!”

He moved to fight of the bull whom had just gotten up, he managed to grab him by his head and holding him at bay, but when he tried to kick him in the side, the bull caught his leg. God dammit, this was awkward and annoying. But he managed to jump off the ground with his other leg and smack him in the head knocking him out.

"Nate, you alright?"

“Ah yea… never better…”

Nate started moving through the building running upstairs, sneaking around, while the guy on the walkie told him where to go, he managed to enter the study of the building, the office of the guy he stole the item from. He walked around searching for a while, before he managed to find some very old scrolls.

“Wooooh… these guys are not messing around, they got papers dating back over thousands of years… October… so long ago….”

He looked through them all, all of them written by Plato. They all explained different things, some different events, the sailing and exploration of the seas, the raid of the fleet of the Land of Sea, the pirates rise and fall. There were even letters between Plato and some other man, Albuquerque. However, in Nate’s mind that could not be correct, they never met, nor did they ever know each other, in fact, Plato would have been a very old man at the time so if they met it would have been almost impossible to meet more than once.

“Holy shit! You know what this means…”

Before Nate could say anymore, he heard the guards running around outside, he grabbed all the scrolls and the different information, he even took the golden circular object with several rings and strange patterns on them, it looked very important. As the took it, he quickly opened the window, jumping out of it, before sneaking into the warehouse, where he would hide for the time being, while the guards would be running around searching for him, and the guards on the walls and gate would probably at least be doubled, he could hear them yell and someone being super pissed that he got away, he would use the time to hide and read up on the scrolls and try and figure out more and if it was in fact true.

Summary: It was time for king and kaizen to act. Take the fight to them, and bring down the regime that had forced these people to live underground and make a better future for the people on this island.

It had been a couple of days since King had explained about the main camp to Kaizen. It was a shock at first but now it had sank in, they had come together, planned and prepared for what came next. There was only one thing to do, take on that base head on, bring down their leader and scatter this organization into the wind. But running in guns blazing was never the way to do it. Instead they spent the last couple of days making preparations. King had approached the main base and scouted it out using his Byakugan, getting an idea of what they would be up against and the best way to invade this camp. There were countless people here, some must of been civilians, but in their was some very large chakra sources, mostly congregated around one of the larger buildings in the center. Could that be where the main leader was? Either way they looked at their way's in, and what obstacles lay in their way. King even observed a man being held prisoner in the camp, but what would they need a prisoner for. Going off his chakra levels, it would seem he had some shinobi skill. That might come in handy. Having scouted the base out fully, King returned to Kaizen. They were both relieved that the mines hadn't been attacked yet.

"I guess we are all set then buddy. I'll create the main distraction from the front, you go in, find their leader and i'll be in to join you on the inside. Just we we are clear.... we end this now, no matter the cost...."

With that king head in the direction of the main main, still with the scroll of communication in his hand, heading towards the large base hidden within the mist. Kaizen would make his own way there, to his own location. When he got the signal. King would make his move....
