Sanin : who is the better teacher?

if you really insist on the full explanation on y i pick jiraiya then read further

i jugde a teacher by 2 categories
- the quality of student before and after the training from the particular teacher [basically the overall improvement of the student]
- the time for which the sensei trained him/her
(i think most of you would agree that its an acceptable method to measure any sensei)

Naruto:
before Jiraiya's training - was not a smart cookie, didn't have full understanding of chakra, didn't even know how to get out of a genjutsu,didn't know anything but shadow clone jutsu(and sexy jutsu), was low end genin level

after Jiraiya's training - overall almost a high jonin(this is without SM) , had rasengan the highest form of chakra manipulation, knew how to counter genjutsu(he did fail against itachi but who wouldn't), summoning jutsu, combination jutsus with his summons

Time it took Jiraiya to train naruto: atmost 2 years (remember jiraiya trained naruto while writing porn novels, trying to score with women, and spy/gather info for leaf village)

if you can come up with a better stat for anyother Sanin then i'll change my opinion
rememner Sasuke was a genius to begin with and sakura was not far behind

Naruto always had the ability to catch thing up fast. Was already shown before the time skip. He had immense chakra compared to the other 2.
Naruto before the timeskip was chunin level, with the help of Kakashi and Jiraiya of course.

Chunin to Jounin isn't a big jump.

As far as Naruto's "intellect" goes he learn how to beat genjutsu, and the 5 morals of ninja.. everything else about him stayed the same.


Sakura, might have been the smartest, but she was always behind Naruto and Sasuke in terms of power and strength. Tsunade not only got Sakura into Hokage level but also made her a better medic ninja then Shizune. And not to forget Tsunade was the most busiest out of the 3 sanin.. And also not to forget the many other medic ninja she had taught before she left. Over the 2 years she taught Sakura everything she knows now, why did we not see it? well simply because she didn't have the permission to go into a fight and fight for-reals.


Orochimaru had the most time open to train Sasuke, so his progress with Hebi sasuke is good.. but compared to Sakura's? errr no.


Jiraiya by far had the least progress with Naruto. Then the other 2 Sanin did.

It would be unwise to judge them just on the basis of the growth rate of their students. You should also look at their student's capability at the point they took over the training. In this respect sasuke was already a topper at the academy so it shouldn't be a surprise if he progressed so quickly. Sakura on the other hand was no fool either. But naruto on the other hand was well you a know what a fool he was..... so i say jiraiya boy wins.

IMO Madara is a terrible teacher.

As much as I would like to say Orochimaru, I can't. Sasuke was a genius and a prodigy and the only reason he didn't show it pre-time skip is because he was under Kakashi, and even under Kakashi he learned a 2nd elemental release, gained incredible speed and taijutsu skills, and learned how to really use his sharingan. Orochimaru simply had a lot more to teach him and nothing keeping him from doing it (Kakashi may have thought Sasuke wasn't mature enough to learn alot of things).

Jiraiya was a good teacher but he never taught his students anything outstanding, though he did instill his ideals in them strongly. He created more well rounded students and focused on making his students adequate shinobi rather than prodigies.

Tsunade has my vote for best. She took Sakura, useless Sakura, and transformed her into a monster. She instilled in her every moral Jiraiya instilled in his students, as well as made Sakura into the second best medical ninja in the village, second only to herself. (Sakura outclassed every medic in Suna except for maybe Chiyo). And now that Sakura has the yin seal, we see that she's grown into a monster on the battlefield as well, perhaps able to rival Tsunade's strength. She may not be on the level of Sasuke and Naruto but in 3 years she certainly learned the most from her teacher. While Sasuke and Naruto's growth can't be entirely credited to Jiraiya and Orochimaru, Sakura's can be completely acredited to Tsunade.

In terms of how powerful their students became; Jiraiya. He's trained three consensus top 10 Shinobi (Naruto, Nagato and Minato) and let Konan and Yahiko become strong enough to create the Akatsuki with Nagato. If we are only talking about the Time-skip regarding Team 7, then Orochimaru. Hebi Sasuke improved a lot on what Sasuke already had and made him a valiant force to be reckoned with in comparison to Sakura who learned Medical Ninjutsu and Chakra enhanced Strength and Naruto, improving his basic ninja skills and a couple of Rasengan variants.

so irrespective of how many precise and fatel woulds Sakura make, Naruto would heal himself(like he did against Neji with complete chakra network shutdown)
Sakura cant use body pathway rearrangement which needs lightnening release that she doesn't have
also irrespective of how good her healing skills are she cant completely heal from a rasengan (Kabuto said that he cant heal the damage caused by rasengan when naruto first used it)

ofcourse this is all assuming sakura can find the real naruto among 10+ naruto shadow clones (1000+ but that would be overkill)
sakura till today doesn't have a way to find real Naruto among clones (unless i'm forgetting something)

remember all the time naruto summoned a tadpole instead of real frog while training
and summoned Gamabunta when he used shit load of chakra

Orochimaru because he simply had access to more utilities and powers. Sasuke changed a LOT and also became a great kenjutsu fighter in a few years. Tsunade was a great sensei for changing even Sakura into anything useful but she was preoccupied by her Hokage role sadly, Jiraiya is definitely the worst.
