Sanin.. and genjutsu wtf

ok yo I just realized this that Sanin actually do have genjutsu counters.

Things you should know before:​

- Orochimaru is the only Sanin, who didn't get the upgrade of "SM" or "Yin seal" type.. He in that aspect is behind the other Sanin.

- The Orochimaru that was solo'd by Itachi's genjutsu was Orochimaru who was on the level of Base Jiraiya and Base Tsunade..

- Genjutsu counters were explained originally by a Sanin.

- Genjutsu counters have been explained by me in the following thread:

My thread will use the explanations mentioned above to theorize this.

Counters:​

Jiraiya -

Notice that he is basically immune to genjutsu in his SM, however is not while in his base form. So in SM only way to beat him is simply over power him. Genjutsu is basically useless against SM Jiraiya due to the fact the toads are there to easily break it. SM also if you notice enhances Jiraiya's ninjutsu and Taijutsu.



Tsunade -

The full byakugou release she showed in the Madara fight. Not only is she able to tank stuff like nothing but also able to disrupt her chakra flow at will. Logically she was already able to counter genjutsu in base form, but Yin seal just makes it sort of an immunity type thing. Though she can be caught, just like Jiraiya, but can break out of it if she is. Yin Seal also if you notice enhances Tsunade's ninjutsu (Medical ninjutsu that is ) and Taijutsu.

Orochimaru -

No you see he is the only one who hasn't gotten a upgrade like SM and Full release Yin seal. So his next "upgrade" or so would be something that will make him counter Genjutsu. Because you see in his base he really has no counter, and he has only been caught in genjutsu in his base form. He is hence why a special case when it comes to the Sanin vs Itachi.​

Conclusion:​

So there you go guys, i thought this was pretty interesting. But not sure if you guys would find it interesting or not.
So Orochimaru when he shows that upgrade that will put him on the level of the other Sanin in regards to power ups and so on.. he will be stronger than Itachi.

But don't start a flame war of Itachi vs Sanin, i'm simply using this as an example to explain more. Tell me what you guys think of this. Pretty stupid? or ok?​

There are several problems with your assumptions.

1. Jiraiya is not immune to genjutsu. In fact, the only characters that have been said to be immune to genjutsu are Jinchuriki since one of their minds does not actually occupy a physical body. However, the person still needs to realize that they are under a genjutsu before they can break out of it. You assume that since Ma, Pa, and Jiraiya all share chakra, they are immune to genjutsu. However, it the caster is able to use multiple genjutsu techniques on different people (such as Itachi), then it is possible to catch all three of them in a genjutsu at the same time.

2. I don't even follow how you conclude that Tsunade's Yin Seal gives her an advantage against genjutsu. Is it because she can flush her system with a huge amount of chakra? If that's the case, then she still has to be able to recognize that she is trapped in a genjutsu in the first place. Therefore, she could probably break some basic genjutsu techniques, but there have also been some genjutsu users that are considered to be inescapable without some sort of outside intervention. For instance, Tayuya's flute, Jiraiya's Sage Mode genjutsu, and Itachi's Tsukiyomi all seem to require some sort of outside/physical intervention in order to escape.

In short, I agree that the Sannin, all of the Sannin, have some sort of counter to genjutsu (if you think about it Genin Sakura had a counter to genjutsu), but it is hard to conclude that any of them would fair well against true genjutsu masters.

Jiraiya, I never said they wouldn't notice. I said it would be too late. Things go like this this : tsukuymi takes effect > a moment later ( doesn't matter how long) toads will try to bust him out, but he's already collapsed because he's spent 3 days in a genjutsu for about 1 second real time. No way the toads are realistically noticing and breaking him out in less than 1 second....

Tsunade. What you said is not relevant to the fact that if she's caught in Tsukuyomi, she's a goner.

In SM, Kabuto is actively intaking nature energy and molding it into sage mode chakra; that's like a constant disturbance in his chakra. But he stll bothered to close his eyes, despite his sensing skills too...

The thing is that byakugou injects chakra into the user chakra's system IIRC. Either way, considering it's effects, it would change the chakra flow considerably, and disturbing the chakra flow is what one's requires to escape a genjutsu.

Yeah J-man and Tsunade can counter genjutsu pretty easily, in their respective upgraded modes, it's a shame people will probably not want to acknowledge this, especially in Tsunade's case.
