You realize by your logic you can't assume that Tsunade doesn't have the strength to break through full Susanoo, you can't assume the Mei's lava or boil release isn't hot enough to melt it, you can't assume Gaara's sand still want find a way to screw Susanoo. Because we've never seen Susanoo show those kind of feats of durability. Thus it could be argued either way. For instance you can say Tsunade can't break a full Susanoo, but I can argue she snapped the sword with one punch, shatter an incomplete Susanoo with two strikes. Therefore she only needs to hit full Susanoo more times to make it crumble. And that would be a logical assumption. Because the fact of the matter is there are a lot of feats we will never see from a lot of things. So we must reason on what we do know. And reasonable, a bijuu dama is one of the most powerful forces we've seen. It's like the spirit bomb of Naruto. So it's only rational to think it would go through layers of chakra that aren't as concentrated.

Gaara creates a stationary sand ball, Susano'o moves and dose both offense and defense, Gaara sand Ball is for only defense until their can be an opening for Him to act, Sasuke chidori broke Gaara's defense and inured Gaara go look back at their fight. By the way lightning turns sand to glass if you never seen a beach get hit by lightning.

He did that in the chinning exam fight and got hurt by chidori and ran off in pain it was the first time Gaara had ever ben hurt,first time His defenses had ever ben breached. And as Itachi ones said all jutsus have their weakness, It's just a matter of finding it and having the power to do it.

He can use it to protect himself from all angles and can use it to attack. Why in the world would he make it shape itself like a Susano'o? That's just extra effort for a change that is nothing but aesthetic. In fact it's far less practical than what he currently does. Every movement requires control and chakra, he has none of that to waste.

Not practical at all. Not ripping on you but the idea is silly. I hope you can actually look back at it and see why.

But how do we know that a complete Susanoo is tougher to crack? For all we know only the size could change.

This is pretty silly. But he can already shape his Sand like his Mom. So why wouldn't he shape it into Susano'o? I'm not even saying that he should, I'm just saying why not. Besides, doing this isn't just attack and defense, it's also a taunt. Just imagine Gaara saying, "You're not the only one who has that Sasuke..." xd
