Both techniques allow you to lift your opponent up into the sky. Fountain Burial Dust allows you to carry multiple people while the first is just one person. The first technique, you have to get sand beneath your opponent. The second technique allows you to generate multiple small pillars of sand. Try the second technique out on my clones.

- I build up chakra in my body and then release it outwards, and towards my gourd, which is forever by my side ( <3 ) Then, utilizing my chakra, I allow the sand to flow past you, and towards your clone, as it surrounds your clone. Upon your instruction, I cause the sand to flow directly beneath your clone's feet. For the first technique, with my chakra control, I allow the sand to raise up from the ground and levitate your clone in air. Being a master in sand, I am quite confident in doing this and ofc, do it quite well. Then, as soon as I put your clone back in ground, I see more clones and then put more amount of sand beneath your clones feet. Then, with some more chakra, I cause sand to move upwards in a horizontal way, creating small pillars that carry your clones in air ^^

With a quick build up, Gaara sends chakra on the sand infront of him, and then manipulates his chakra so that the sand is in his control. Then, again, he dramatically swishes his hand up and then creates small bodies (hoes >.>) of sand, with his chakra and then simply does a swishing motion down, that drops the bodies on your clone

Well, this techniques allows you to make sand projectiles from a small portion of sand while your using Floating sand. The sand is capable of splitting into multiple shots to hit a wider range of targets. Try it out.
