Sand is a KG that allows manipulation of sand in numerous ways; This includes attacks with creating objects or forms, defenses in the form of objects or creations, or even numerous supplementary uses such as sand storms, sensing sand, sand that negates sensing etc. We are able to create sand from the minerals within the earth to use as a source or simply manipulate pre existing sand such as sand carried within an object or sand already present within the terrain. This ability has hella uses tbh, and might have some untapped potential in the custom game. It can be a major game changer, especially due to the fact it can completely manipulate a terrain if used properly.

Sand is weak to both water and lightning in the rp. Water makes it unable to be molded due to dampening it and soaking it up to a mud like texture, while lightning holds a cutting edge that can pierce it similar to how it interacts with earth release.

It's strong to both earth and fire. Sand being very resistant to heat, so wouldn't really be affected as much, while being able to grind up earth or even become hard enough to overpower it in sturdiness.

I guess this means it plays on equal grounds with wind, which seems ok imo.



( Daisan No Me ) - The Third Eye

A technique we saw in the first part of the series that (well as far as i know) everybody thought was cool af when Gaara used it. It creates a third eye made of sand anywhere within range, having an invisible connection to the ocular nerve, thus giving sight through that specific eye. Using this would take the place of a single eye, which would stay unused and closed through the duration of this technique. Pretty cool for spying and such.

Description: Sand is manipulated to create small waves that can bruise an opponent or small shields that can deflect kunai. This sand can be created by breaking down the earth or from Gaara's gourd.

A simple technique which allows short range manipulation or creation of sand. By either breaking down minerals in the earth to create a source of sand, or using it from a gourd which carries pre existing sand, one can create small waves or shields to do their bidding. Pretty simple one right here.

( Suna Hokori Sākuru ) - Sand Dust Circle

Description: The user releases his chakra below the opponent and manipulates his sand to create a spinning pillar of sand rise up from beneath the opponent and lift them into the air. This can be used by breaking down the earth to create sand or through sand the user already controls such as from Gaara's Gourd.

This works similar to the one above, allowing us to create our own source of sand by breaking earthen minerals down, or sending our pre existing sand into a specific area to make use of the technique. It allows one to create a spinning pillar of sand directly below a target, quickly lifting them while causing minute damage in the process.

Just a variant of the one i just explained imo. It does the exact same thing, but instead of creating a single pillar it'll allow me to create multiple pillars. This is more useful if you hace numerous targets that you wanted to affect with the same results.

This one is pretty dope. It let's you travel on a cloud of sand, kinda like Goku's flying Nimbus. With it being made of sand I'd be able to use small sand techniques from it while using it for its main purpose of travel. I'd personally use this to stay off the ground, but to also dodge techniques seeing as we are able to use a move slot to evade with this. And it stays active until i is destroyed or i want it to be deactivated.


( Kanchiki Suna no Jutsu ) - Sensor Sand Technique

This is a sensing ability that is available to the sand users, using the sand as a medium to sense in a certain vicinity. I'd spread sand everywhere within mid range that is almost unseeable, and that will alert me to anything that walks through it. The sand sticks to anything coming through also, giving me a detailed sense of exactly where they are. I'd use this purely to know where my opponent is, or to be alerted to if they come into my immediate area.

This is limited to attacks C rank and below. If hit by water the sand will be too heavy to reform and lightning will destroy the clones. These clones can be made from the earth or pre existing sand source.
Note: Clone costs 10 chakra to reappear again.

A clone variant for sand users that create clones that take the shape of the user, but have a sandy composition and look to them. They can reform from c rank and lower techniques as long as it isn't from water or lightning, at the cost of 10 additional chakra to bring them back. When they hit something physical, they're able to wrap them in sand and hold them down for the user to attack.

This is a technique to control the field on a minute level so that you can basically control where they move to. Creating sand from the ground beneath them, you make a stream of sand that will carry them in a desired direction. Good for getting them into a position where you can do a great attack or trap them.

Sand Shuriken that aren't sharp at all, actually doing nothing but blunt damage whenever they strike something. The cool thing about this is the fact we can control the way they attack and move with our will, as long as we keep focus on them. Pretty cool.

A mini "antlion"/"swamp of the Underworld" type technique used directly beneath a target. Using our sand abilities we'd loosen the ground into sand that will sink the target into a pressurized and deep hole that will have them immobilized. Pretty much quicksand.

The hand(s) can be used to grab objects or directly grab the target's legs to keep them in place and available to be struck by an attack.

Pretty cool technique to be C rank. I'd compress sand to create a small sphere that is able to be shot at people with great enough speeds to even knock someone out upon impact. Using my will alone, i could change the trajectory and the direction of the sphere to hit from numerous angles or hit different targets back to back to back.

( Dai Uzumaki Maisō ) - Maelstrom Burial

I'd gather sand into the air, kind of like the sand cloud technique, which is then moved above a target if not created directly above the initially. Once above them, the sand is dropped on them, causing a minor amount of damage but knocking them to the ground due to the big mass of the sand gathered.

( Hageshii Suna Doshaburi ) - Fierce Sand Downpour

Description: The user whilst using the floating sand technique manipulates his sand to create a small amount of sand in the air which he controls to fall down towards the opponent. Before reaching the opponent the sand splits into multiple shots increasing the spread of its attack range.

When using the sand cloud technique to float around, I'm able to use this to attack with it. This shoots a small amount of the sand down at a target, splitting into multiple bullets once it gets closer so that it can hit numerous spots and make it harder to dodge.

( Noroi no Suna Ningyō no Jutsu ) - Cursed Sand Puppet Jutsu

Note: Creates up to 8 Sand puppets

Basically another sand clone technique but with 8 "puppets" that are sentient and will attack the user's enemies. Of course they'd be destroyed by low rank techniques, like simple taijutsu or elements following sands strength and weakness.

( Sunaarashi no Jutsu ) - Sandstorm Technique

Description: With the help of pre-existing sand, the user creates a localized sandstorm, surrounding opponents and limiting their sense of vision. The user can maintain this sandstorm and use it in a similar way to the hidden mist jutsu to block vision and irritate eyes. This does not harm the opponent.

This is a cool technique that is like the sand version of the hidden mist technique. We make a localized sand storm that surrounds a specific aea, obscuring people's vision at a high degree. Other than the vision obscurity and being an annoying storm of sand, it holds no offensive capabilities at all.

Alright, you've learned both the D-ranked sand techniques and the C-ranked ones. Now what I want you to do is come up with a nice move using your favorite sand technique (the ones you've learned thus far) along with any canon technique you think would create the perfect attack, or trap.

I'd simply channel my Ototon chakra into my left hand and do a simple snap, causing high frequency sound waves to travel at my target and trapping them in an illusion that is twisted to my will. Suddenly the target would hear the ground below them crack loudly, causing it to break apart, with them falling into a massive hole below. Once the illusion was casted, i channel my sand chakra into the ground directly below them, having the earth turn into a sand like composition. The sand quickly starts to suck them beneath the surface, leaving them immobilized while they are under the assumption that they're falling into a broken earthen hole. Once they're immobilized i throw a kunai at the face.

The user then manipulates the illusion to make it appear as if either a large branch has fallen from a tree or the ground under them has broken clean in half, causing the target to believe they are falling through the earth or have been struck with a large object, pushing them to the earth. The user has control over the illusion, being able to make it seem as if entire trees have been snapped in half, falling on the target or as if an earth structure has collapsed either above or beneath the opponent, etc. The illusion can be edited to fit the situation and even the sound can be slightly altered deepening on the object that is "snapped". Is more effective depending upon the terrain this is used in ( extremely effective in a forest, not effective in a desert ).

Another sand technique that requires me to gather the sand from the surroundings to create a cloud that will be above the target. Once the cloud is formed it will rain down sharp sand needles that pierce a target.

Description: The user will create a wave of sand that they use to cover their opponent/opponents from head to toe. Once they have done this they will close their hand causing the sand to compact inwards crushing their target.

This is an attack variant of the one i just explained. I'd send a wave of sand at the target, which will converge onto them and cover them from head to toe, stopping movements altogether. Once they're trapped i can clasp my hands together, causing the sand to almost "implode", crushing the target within and leaving my sand stained with blood.

( Suna Raishin ) - Sand Lightning Needles

Description: A spray of needles that surround the enemy and when they hit the ground they discharge electricity out at the enemy. This electricity is enough to stun the target for up to one turn.

A pretty cool technique that gives some decent custom ideas from how it is utilized. I'd use my sand to spray numerous needles that i craft, hitting areas in the surrounding terrain around the target. Once the needles hit the ground and have the target surrounded, they discharge electricity that will cause minor shock damage while also immobilizing them for a turn.

( Shukaku No Hoko ) - Halberd Of Shukaku

Description: Gaara gathers sand and compacts it into a huge spear of condensed sand that is launched at the enemy or manually wielded.

A basic weapons technique used by manipulating the sand into a near solid object. I'd gather sand near me or in my hand, condensing it into a solidified spear of sand, being able to launch it as a projectile or wield it manually for close combat.


( Suna Arare no Jutsu ) - Sand Hail Technique

Description: The user gathers his sand into large clumps in the air, compacting them and then drops them from the sky on to his opponents, with enough force to knock an opponent out.

I'd gather sand from the surrounding terrain, bringing it up into the air and forcing it to condense into numerous clumps that are basically solids. The numerous clumps would then be dropped down onto the terrain, coming down with enough force to knock ppl out completely.

(Sunaarashi no Jutsu) - Sandstorm Technique

This reminds me of the A rank water tornado technique tbvh. I'd gather sand around my immediate area, forcing it to spin in a tornado like fashion to create a barrier that protects me. The spinning sand can deflect attacks within reason, according to the elemental interactions of sand. It can also be used for attack purposes if within close range, knocking people away with the spinning sand.

( Suna Tainai no Jutsu ) - Sand Body Technique

Description: The user turns his own body into sand, or simply parts of it. While in sand form, he can cross long distances by soaring as a sandstorm. In this form, he is also invulnerable to attacks based on strengths and weaknesses of Sand. However, he is unable to attack during this form.

This is probably my favorite sand based technique. Channeling my sand chakra into the entirety of my body, i convert my composition into pure sand, but being able to keep my form; Sorta like the Hozuki clan. While within this form I'd become invulnerable to most physical attacks, such as from earth, tai attacks and things of that nature, but would still be vulnerable to lightning and water. I could also travel as a sand storm too, which is neat as helllll.

( Suna Hashira no Jutsu ) - Sand Pillar Technique

Description: The user wraps the lower half of his body in sand and manipulates the sand to suspend and manuevres himself in mid-air at high speeds. The sand maintains contact with the ground, thus creating a pillar-like formation.

Ay this one is dope too. I'd use sand directly under me to form around my lower body, enabling myself to move around by making the sand control the movement of my entire body. This can take me to long range, maneuvering at high speeds, evading techniques or just moving to unreachable places. Pretty cool.

( Sukoshi Ryūsa Bakuryū ) - Little Quicksand Waterfall Flow

Description: The user manipulates his sand to create a smaller Quicksand Waterfall Flow in front of him that raises upwards into the air and flows outwards infront him covering up to mid range.

Basically a sand version of the water wave. I'd make a quicksand river in front of me that rises high and then spreads out to wipe stuff away in front of me. It will reach mid range into the air and even mid range in front of me, being a pretty large attack mechanism.

( Sajin: Shīsā ) - Sand Formation: Stopping Authority Sand

Description: After forming 3 hand seals, the user generates one or multiple lion-like sand creatures to attack or subdue a target. They appear to be easily dispersed if struck hard enough.

I think this is one of the only "creature" type techniques created through the sand ability. I'd do 3 hand seals to make 1 or more lions made of compacted sand, having them attack targets as needed. They can use their sand like composition to subdue targets by wrapping around them.

( Sanganken ) - Sandstone Fist

Description: The user gathers sand in their fist which then changes form into stone-made weapons, like a mallet or a shield, perfect for close-range fighting. The created weapons are also very solid and durable. The user can throw these weapons and they retain their form.

A technique that can create a wide variety of close combat style weaponry. Gathering sand into the fist, I'd be able to use shape manipulation to create any kind of close quarters weapon, such as a sword, hammer, shield etc and can even throw them and they'd retain their shape. Each weapon would have a solid composition to them, giving them enough strength to cause a great deal of damage as if it was a real weapon made of metal or something.

( Henkō Sajin: Nessa Meisai ) - Polarized Sand Formation: Burning Sand Camouflage

Description: The user infuses chakra by placing both hands on the ground, making sand particles polarise which is able to bend light, they erupt in the direction of the users comrades, covering them and rendering them invisible and much harder to detect, save by a sensor. This technique appears to require ample time to perform for the build-up of chakra. This cannot fool doujutsu users.

A cool concept that i honestly didn't think of when it comes to sand abilities. It gathers and covers my comrades (and logically other things also) polarizing the sand to the point that it is able to bend light to a degree. The bending of light on the sand is like the camouflage technique, rendering my comrades invisible. Even though they're invisible they'd still be able to be sensed through means of doujutsu and chakra sensing.

I would use it to hide clones and such for sneak attacks or even hide weapons if it was needed. It's a neat technique with a neat affect.

A technique that would combine well with the sand camouflage technique. By spreading sand around the terrain I'm able to negate sensing abilities of anyone i focus on. This is a good technique to use whenever i have a sentient technique active

( Kyosei Suna no Jutsu ) - Greater Sand Technique

Description: The will manipulate sand from either his gourd or call it forth from the ground, using hand gestures if to control it as he shapes it and uses it to his needs. Other Sand users besides Gaara will need to form a handseal. The user can use it to restrain enemies, defend from incoming techniques, produce simple constructs of sand (which lose their shape if control is released), sand waves, etc. If he uses the sand from his gourd, the technique is both faster and stronger, gaining a rank in strength, this only applies to Gaara.

Probably the most versatile and most used technique of the sand arsenal. With a single hand sesl I'd gain control over sand within the terrain or that i am carrying with me. The sand can be used in almost any way, to defend, to attack or to move me around, or to even trap people in sand constructs. Pretty useful technique overall.

( Suna no Yoroi ) - Armour of Sand

Description: Sand coats itself around the user like an armour, affording him extra defense from physical impacts, and can even withstand the power of equal rank Taijutsu. However, the effort to create and maintain this sand is very draining. It also reduces the user's speed to two ranks below his actual level.
Note: Once activated, it remains active until deactivated or destroyed.

The technique used by gaara in part 1 to place sand over his skin, which wasn't recognizable by the eye. It is a defensive mechanism that protects the user from blunt force damage up to the same rankx acting as an armor type defense. Only drawback is the heaviness of it causes a decrease in speed equal to 2 ranks while it is also chakra taxing to the body.

( Suna no Tama ) - Sphere of Sand

Description: The user rapidly and completely encases himself in a sphere of dense sand, that can easily deflect most physical techniques.

A straight forward technique to be honest. Not much i can say besides the fact that it is an ok defense. It creates a sphere around my immediate vicinity that can protect me from most physical attacks that would try striking me. This would leave me blind to the outside world, but this can be worked around via the 3rd eye technique or the sensory sand.

( Sabaku Sajin Sougeki ) - Twin Pillars Of Crushing Sand

Description: Two pillars of dense sand that smash the opponent between them and then smash them under pressure. These pillars are large enough to crush a medium sized summon like Gamahiro after the time skip.

This is a offensive attack that uses sand in a ranged manner. I'd create 2 large pillars (bigger than even medium summons big as Gamahiro after the time skip) that rise on both sides of a target. The pillars would quickly close in on the target, crushing them between the two and causing crushing damage.

( Sabaku Rou ) - Sand Prison

Another ranged technique, but this one would be a bit tougher to evade or escape. Gathering sand around the target, I'd be able to create a sphere that will be controlled to crush inwards and obliterate my target with immense crushing force from all sides.

( Sabaku Taisou ) - Imperial Sand Burial

A technique that takes on the affects of both capturing and attacking to make a much better and accurate attack. I'd be able to use sand to bind my target with great strength, followed by condensing sand into the form of a spear that will be used to skewer my target.

( Suna Kōgeki Keigai Maisō ) - Sand Attack Ruin Burial

While I'm using the sand floating technique, I'd gather a large portion of sand from the ground and below the target. This lets me create a very large pillar of sand that erupts upwards with great force, sending the target flying upwards and damaged by blunt force damage.

( Messaba Kusou ) - Destroying Desert Burial

Description: A huge variation of Imperial Sand Burial that crushes with such force that it leaves behind only a giant crater.

I'd be able to create a super big wave of sand that covers a great amount of the terrain, covering the target (s) in a quick moment. Once the opponent is covered in sand, I'd be able to crush them within it to cause a great amount of damage. This is so vast and powerful that it will leave behind a big ass crater as if something massive hit from the sky. It usually will leave nothing but rekt flesh behind.


( Messa Bakusō ) - Ruining Sand Waterfall Burial

Description: Gaara creates a zigzag fissure of sand under the opponent. The zigzag fissure then erupts into the face of Shukaku which devours and seals the opponent away in 200 metres of sand. Gaara will then place his hand on the ground and have the sand compacts itself with such a force that only a a giant crater, 200 metres deep is left crushing the enemy into nothingness.
Note: Can only be used once per battle

This is a huge ass technique. Lol like wth. It creates a humongous fissure in a zig zag formation, which would erupt in the form of the face of Shukaku. The huge Shukaku face would devour the targets in a moment's notice, sealing the opponent away within the sand as it comes back down. The eruption is 200m of sand that devours the target, but with me laying my hands on the ground the sand compacts into the ground, leaving a hugeeeee crater 200m deep. Wew.

Alright.

Urek creates a clone that quickly releases a B-ranked water technique. Not long after water would materialize from below you that will instantly trap you.

Use only sand to defend.
