Samurai suck. They're only means of attack is a simplified version of how Sasuke attacks everybody. Biggest disappointment in the series with the exception of Mifune who is at least competent.

The whole thuing is about ninjas, samurais where just a way for there to be balance for th sumit metting

well we never know those samurai were probably genin or chunin level, like how how sasake took on a whole army of weak shinobis when training with orochimaru so im pretty sure those two body guard samurai are at least jounin level seeing do not wear any of the armor.

and didnt Ōnoki indicates that any shinobi would be foolish to challenge the military of the Land of Iron.

so i believe they have strong Samurai just like we didnt know other villages had powerful shinobi like the leaf has or stronger so who knows
