I don't know if this was asked before but I was just wondering how much chakra can the samehada hold? It seems to take a lot at one time.

yeah , it's so not fair... but I guess it must have a weakness... maybe thats its weakness, it has a limit to absorbing chakra, and I dont think Samehada can absorb Sage chakra

Now even thought I see where your coming from with that(its a natural energy), I have to disagree. You have to concentrate that chakra so you can use it. I believe while your sitting still trying to gain this chakra, that gives kisame the chance to take it.

Well the Samehada is a sentient being so it's certainly not just a sword. I doubt it's confronted a user in Sage Mode whose used natural energy so it may not know the effects of it.

It seems to me that it can hold an infinite amount as long as it uses it to replenish it's wielder's chakra/heal their wounds.

In this last chapter the hachibi said that samehada had even drained the majority of it's chakra, along with killer bee's.

The amount that it can absorb is unclear, but Killer Bee notes that it can absorb no more than six of his chakra tails. It has also been shown to consume the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox's chakra from Naruto Uzumaki's body with no ill effects.

I think that the OP meant was how much can it steal in total? When KB said that it can eat no more than 6 of his tails, that was in any given swing of the sword.

In the end, Samehada had pretty much completely drained a tailed beast, and his host. (as stated in this recently released chapter.)

I guess it could always pull the classic "Eats too much and blows up" routine, but I doubt it.
