The OP might have been blunt-but it's the truth. Sakura is a horrid character written by kishimoto. Kishi obviously forgot about her development for a large chunk of the story(he even admitted it in an interview...). Her power up was nothing more than kish trying to shoehorn her development in a short amount of time, and it was ridiculous.

I agree, kishi should have done it early and slower. I guess he really is horrible with female characters.

1. She has fans because she's the only tolerable female in her age group. The rest are just plain annoying.
2. You don't understand the character. She was joking, she has no interest in becoming hokage and was just glad Team7 was together again.
3. Her powerup has been foreshadowed since pt1 and was pretty decent considering that the only one to ever have trained her was Tsunade.
