Kishimoto could have certainly made her more relevant to the story, however the statement of her failing at everything is false. It was a known fact that medical ninjutsu alone would not save Naruto, only the other half the Kyuubi would. She still kept him alive long enough to get to Obito. She's a decent medic.
Not really. She could have been much better though and does pale in comparison to other female characters in other series, like Mikasa.
However, she's okay overall as a character and there are worse characters in Naruto than her.

I don't really see how she can drag down the manga though, considering that she doesn't have too much relevance to affect something like that. She actually brings in a decent size of the fanbase (of course not comparable to Naruto's and Sasuke's fanbases). She's not the worst female character for the lead role, there are much worse. Kishimoto's done an "average" job as others have stated as far as developing her goes. The main thing he failed to do w/ her is add more techniques to her arsenal, because after all this is a series about shinobi, however, it's too late for that with the series ending this year. What's done is done and the fact of the matter is that Sakura is the heroine.

As you can see she was referring to not having to put chakra into it anymore. Everything Sakura did there was base Sakura ._. she only used the seal to do remote healing and released it to summon 1/10 of katsuya with Tsunade.
Manga fact you cannot use the seal without visibly releasing it or through katsuya.
If she was never sacrificing some chakra to make the seal thats how strong Sakura could have been since early part 2 which we can see by the scale of her punches she is much more effective.

Sakura has more to offer than hinata as a main character, the only people who say otherwise have a personality issue with sakura and just like hinata, her personality would annoy the f out of me in a team 7 complex and just overall what team 7 is. Naruto suffers for more factors than Sakura infact she is very popular to the japanese. Less popular in the areas like u.s and stuff.
Konan was a good character for like the little while we saw her but she has nothing to do with who was main character her purpose in the story is different.
Medic talent is very important it's saving both the main characters at the moment and a lot of other people. And raw power has faired useful as well, we don't even know what else she knows because she hardly gets to fight.
Anyways, opinions. She will always be main character and it's not changing and no matter how much people bash her and blame is for the manga guess what? They are still reading the manga and they can't and won't ever stop because its not as bad as they say.

i dont agree. if hinata was the main herione kishimoto would've been forced to power up byakugan. hinata could actually be one of the strongest character with byakugan power ups. we could also see the full potential of the byakugan. if a dojutsu character was the

That fodder medical ninja was able to almost beat Sasori and kept Naruto alive enough to get Kurama back, while Hinata got knocked out of comission from tripping on something but you don't bash her or any hate threads like this against Hinata. I have nothing against Hinata she and Sakura are both awesome in their own ways you don't need to compare them.

Lol .... Too blunt, but funny. I laughed when she said she isn't some weak woman, and then not a nanosecond later, Sasuke and Naruto saved her ass. Pathetic.
She knows waht she wants. She wanted to be a shinobi- she is one. She searched in which field she could excel - she chose to become a medic. She knows she liked Sasuke but it may or may not happen. That realization and career stage is good enough for a 15 year old.

Pretty irrelevant, as for both Naruto and Sakura, Sasuke has always been the core motivating factor - a guy that didn't consider them a factor in his life. If this isn't the definition of pettiness, then colour be surprised.
It gives their characters very little room to grow and flourish. Which is why both of them are stuck in the same self-created rut that 'Sasuke should join them so they can be team 7 again'.
