rofl but i think they know enough about reactions to know that non-metals and non-metals form covalent compounds such H2O
and that ionic compounds are where a metal combines with a non metal for example iron and oxygen or francium and flourine(lol francium and flourine mixed together would be epic imagine the explosion)
