Sakura's Byakugou Seal Wasn't An Asspull.

The power up was atrociously developed. The only foreshadowing that this ability had was that Sakura studied under Tsunade. That's literally it.

The ass pull isn't Sakura's ability to work and create the seal. The ass pull is the fact she isn't even hinted to have it until she conveniently needs it. She waited until half a war was over to complete this thing, and it's completed when Team 7 finally happens to reunite. It's odd she's managing to store chakra during a war when she and the rest of the world should be going all out.

It would have been like Naruto pulling out sage mode with no training or suggestion that he'd trained for it previous to him using it.

It would have been better for her to have mastered this before the war starts, or if she is to get it then, at least have several hints about her progression....


It's an ass pull in convenient timing. It's and ass pull in the revelation that she's been working on it.

It is not an ass pull that she had the potential to master the technique.

IKt was hinted in the artbooks. the seal was never fully explained so we should never make sense of it.

Anyone with common sense should've expected her to get the seal. I didn't bat an eye when she got ut bc it was a given. It was rather convenient that she got it right when Sasuke returned though. But Kishi is a crappy writer soo.

Don't see anything wrong with Sakura finally completing the Byakugou seal.
And don't see how she is selfish when the seal wasn't completed before.

People will call out asspull but it was shown in a way that almost every student that trained with their sensei will use their tech.

Such as Nauto with toad summoning,and rasengan.
Sasuke with chidori,snake summoning,etc.

It was never shown how Sasuke learned some of his moves yet people don't complain on the lack of story on him training.


To them it may be an asspull but to the writer,he already planned this out and wanted it to turn out that way...otherwise you wouldn't seen it play out.
People will just find something to complain and there's nothing wrong with that I guess.
Just leave them be.

She had an explicitly suspicious TIMING to complete it - EXACTLY in time to FLAUNT it in Sasuke-KUN's face.
If she did it a chapter before, I'd have no qualms with it (still not much foreshadowed, but no big deal) - but it LOOKS as if she did it ONLY because of Sasuke and ON PURPOSE.
THAT is really BAD.
Dunno, whether Kishi did it on purpose too, or what was his idea to begin with - but to me personally, this tastes very BAD.
There's one thing to get new "unpredicted" boosts in time to counter new foes or boosts - and it's another thing to get such an important ability SEEMINGLY just to showcase oneself before your crush.
Especially when it's something that took her "3 years" - like, am I to believe that 5 minutes (or 1 hour) ago she was NOT yet ready???
Especially with her using chakra all this time anyways.
This sounds so much "asspulled" precisely due to how cheesy it LOOKS.

You do understand that "1 hour" compared to "3 years" is so minuscule that it IS suspicious???
WHY hasn't she used it in the battle BEFORE???
Like, when Naruto teamed up with Lee to dice the Uchihas after Neji's death (which is yet another additional NEGATIVE point for Sakura withholding her ability), Sakura WASN'T there - even though she'd be VERY USEFUL as a TANK in that very attack (protecting Naruto at the very least, not to mention PUNCHING Obito into oblivion).
But NO, she DIDN'T scratch her butt, until she saw SASUKE.
Please, stop ignoring the obvious suspicion-worthy FACT.
