Wishy-washy in what way? The fact that her feelings for this guy have remained constant throughout?
Her character and attitude hasn't done any major 360s in the manga once.
Being in love with someone that apparently doesn't care doesn't make it unwarranted.
What kind of attitude is that?
She's a fangirl and no one wants to get to know what makes a Sasuke fangirl tick as much as anyone wants to know what makes a Twilight fangirl tick. No different than real girl's affection for Edward
After Sasuke gave he a much needed shut up in "Chapter 3" by saying she's annoying she still allows her love for him to interfere with her duty as a ninja. Something that Kakashi sensei lampshades when he evaluates team 7's progress.
Even 20 something chapters later it takes a haircut for her to understand that she's been a lazy fangirling *****. She takes on the sound team and tries biting a dude's arm.
Still the most intelligent one of the group and assistant to Kakashi-sensei but still regardless annoying personality-wise. Her romance life couldn't be even more of a joke considering how we're supposed to be under the belief that her feelings for Sasuke have become genuine. I'm sorry, genuine how? She couldn't understand the first thing regarding Sasuke other then that she loved him for his skill and looks rather then what was beneath the surface. She doesn't know about his past or how come wants revenge in the first place or the Uchiha clan. No, it all started with a fangirl crush and has been nothing but modern curiosity and lingering feelings from that simple crush.
And even if it is genuine feelings did it ever occur that it should be brought to a halt considering how there's a limit to how much love should be given to that person? Especially if they're a cruel, omnicidal maniac like Sasuke has become.
Her whole M.O. of being attracted to bad boys is even a joke.
"Sasuke-kun!"
"Sasuke-kun!"
"Sasuke-kun!"
Thats all she ever says!
She takes everything Sasuke said and do for pure face value. How can she like someone merely for superficial qualities only? Sakura challenges everything Naruto says but accept Sasuke with all her heart. It's desire that she tries to understand Sasuke even before drooling over the handsome face?
She acts as though she has just been through so much pain and suffering, when in truth nothing has happened to her. Look at everything Sasuke, Naruto, and many others had to go through- they don't sit around crying all day. All she ever does is go on and on about how she 'won't be a burden anymore', but she continues to do the same crap. She is completely selfish, and doesn't understand anyone's suffering. She does nothing but cry and push everything on to Naruto, yet she was just so shocked when Sai told her how much pain she causes him. Then she completely lies to his face about loving him, and has the nerve to get angry with Naruto when he rejects her?
I struggle to think of a "romance" that's nearly as facepalm inducing.
