NaruHina is like Naruto saying he will be with a character who has never shown any romantic interest in him at any point in the series.

You're not getting it. It's about NARUTO not showing any interest, which is the problem with NaruHina.
Look again at the picture Hinata just shook Naruto to the core like no one has.
I think it would be horrible writing if sakura loved sasuke all this time and all of a sudden at the end she switched to naruto.
If she was going to love him as anything more than a friend I think kishi would have focused on that rather than the fact that she is still inlove with sasuke.
So you equate true love with sacrifice? A life together should be fulfilling and happy, with give and take on both sides. Naruto loves being around Sakura (how many times has he asked her for a date?) but though he cares for Hinata, we have never seen him try to spend more time with her than he had to. It may change after the war is over, but that pattern appears to be fairly consistent up till now.
Hinata is nothing like Minato, who was assertive and self confident, and very powerful from early on. I don't see much point in trying to decide on future relationship based on superficial similarities to older characters, but if you want a more valid comparison, then Sakura resembles Tsunade the most, and Naruto is a lot like Jiraya (minus the perv aspect). Hinata reminds me most of Rin (Kakashi's and Obito's teammate).
I am not putting it past Kishimoto to suddenly lead the story in Hinata's favor, but I can't see that this makes much sense when we are entering the concluding arc of the entire saga. I am not trying to put Hinata down or anything, it just does not fit the story, in my opinion (though the only opinion that matters is Kishimoto's)...

i dont know about that....
and ive seen Sakura act romantically towards Naruto. mainly avoiding her feelings for him, but it's not like she has NO interest in him..she probably likes him more than he likes her..
just because he was surprised doesnt really mean anything...if i were as dense as him and somebody i barely notice told me they loved me, id be shocked too.
as stated before, somewhere, itd be horrible writing for him to just suddenly fall in love with her. horrible
So naruto and kakashi can still love sasuke, but its hard for sakura? I could be wrong but I saw sakura and naruto develop a strong friendship thats all.
You got it so wrong, I can't even believe it. How dare you say something like that???? Naruto is just too young to be at Jyraia's level, but he will get there. Remember that at age 13 he created the Sexy no Jutsu that took down even the Hokage, not to mention the harem no jutsu later on. Also he uses both to get favors every chance he has. And if you take a look at the beginning of part 2 you will see he was going to do exactly what Jiraya did at his age, meaning peaking at Tsunade taking her bath. Problem is that he is still young and not nearly as experienced as Jiraya, but he will get there. /hehehe
On the other subjects, I see Kishi slowly bringing Hinata into de spotlight. What will happen from there, no one knows. It may be that Hinata ends up with Naruto; it may be that Sakura does. For my own reasons and personality, I would like to see him with Hinata, but nothing wrong with Sakura, as long as she CHOOSES Naruto over Sasuke, instead of taking Naruto as a second option.
/Long Live Jiraya... Even in Death!
but we've seen her feelings develop since the sasuke reunion. and she hasnt seen sasuke but once since then..kinda hard to love someone who you havent seen...she hasnt just switched to naruto, she realized how great a person/ninja he is and thats why she likes him. but regardless, we've seen nothing directed at hinata from anyone so...
Quite agreed. I never even considered how horrible the plot would turn out for something like that to happen. NaruSaku has been developing since day 1 so for him to just throw that away for a minor character would be HORRIBLE writing. Let ppl say what they will about Sakura's modern character, but she has come a long way and is still developing and has a long way to go. When she sees Naruto, she's bound to go up and talk to him, unlike Hinata... At the end of it all, it would be incomplete without Sakura. I'm sure Kishi has no intention of throwing her or her feelings for Naruto aside.
Your argument is very convincing. Naruto and Sakura have been through too much to just toss aside for a thought from Hinata. I mean, we had to see her say SOMETHING. And seeing as that's her character's fundamental basis, it would have been out of her character for her to say anything else. I truly feel bad that the foundation of her character is based on an unhealthy obsession with Naruto. It makes girls seem feeble and feeling based when in reality, that's untrue. Sakura's character has more depth than most of the other girls when I think about it. She's completely changed from her old self. She no longer loves Sasuke in any romantic way and has developed feelings like that for Naruto.
Sakura's words in 573 were concerning Naruto and her desire to help him, while Hinata's were quite selfish/one-sided if you consider it. A major turnaround for them both...
