I think people should stop hanging on Kushina's advice here. Who ever marries a girl that matches what their mom advises them to pick anyway? Especially when the advice was given to the child as a newborn baby, before she knew what kind of person he's be like?

Of course Naruto will *not* choose a girl just like his mother - he is not his father so they would not match! Likewise he will not choose one like his father either, for much the same reasons. He has his own distinct personality and life experiences which would dictate what he'll choose (if he does). This may be Sakura (my hope), Hinata - or someone completely different.

I feel that Hinata's love/crash for Naruto is very similar to Sakura's love/crash for Sasuke. Both fell for the guys for pretty superficial reasons (cool factor, determination, resp). Both crashes developed into love through experience together. In that respect, Sakura has far more justification, having spent a year with Sasuke during their Genin time, and learning to know him well before he turned evil, whereas Hinata barely exchanged two words with Naruto.

I think that in the end Sakura will end up with Naruto, but she'd have to first choose him over Sasuke in her heart, not just intellectually, as she has when she tried to convince him and herself that she loved him. That is another hurdle she has to overcome (which Kushina did not have).
I find it amusing that people who praise Naruto for sticking up for his friend despite his fall, criticise Sakura for much the same feelings. The fact that she still loves Sasuke after all he has done, and when he no longer is Mr. Popular, shows that it was love and not just a crash. But she is changing and growing out of it, and that same strength of feelings will be given to whoever she chooses next (Naruto, Lee or whoever). What she was thinking in episode 573 shows how far she has grown from the hotheaded girl she'd been.

Ya I see what your saying I agree with alot of it, but I wasn't actually implying naruto was going to do anything based on what his mother said, I just saw it as a foreshadowing of him choosing the opposite of what she wants him to just like it had showed him doing before, you know what I mean?

i dont know about yall but i kinda suspected Itachi was another snape lurking in the corners..granted i did start reading/watching the manga after it started, but still i had that figured and he made it pretty obvious that Minato was Naruto's father and alot of things have been made pretty obvious...child of prophecy....naruto vs sasuke...etc. To me, Kishi has def made it obvious that Hinata could potentially end up with Naruto and has been trolling us with not saying Sakura exact feelings towards sasuke to build suspense (just because she thinks about him, doesnt mean she still is in love with him) I really think that with all the foreshadowing Kishi's done, especially with Sakura, it would seem weird to throw that in there for no reason. They have had the most development since the series started (it seems) with just random throw in's about Hinata liking Naruto or Sakura thinking of Sasuke. Idk..i see what people are saying but i really think/hope Kishi is just trolling us. It would be weird for NaruHIna to get together after all the story with NaruSaku. Dont flame me plz

haha say that to naruto! i think the fact he likes someone similar to his mom despite not knowing her personality is something that kinda speaks for itself. I mean we can pick apart this manga for clues and stuff all we want but fact is Sakura and Naruto have a special relationship thats had much development, but it could swing either way.

And thank you above, i do geniunely like Sakura and she is useful and an interesting character. She is designed to resemble a normal human girl to Kishi so if people dont like her, blame Kishi's perception of pretty tomboyish girls. Hinata's character really isnt portrayed well either, she is much more stalkerlike that what im sure Kishi intended just like Sakura more of a B*tch compared to what we are use too lol

Hinata is just excessively timid and calm and Naruto is used to liking tough girls, which is why he never notices Hinata. Hard to imagine him with quiet little Hinata. Naruto and Sakura are the best match, although I actually rather Sakura went with Lee, cuz he's awesome

Both Naruto and Sakura have a side character with a crush on them that they ignore~ Hinata loves Naruto and Lee loves Sakura and neither of them return that very well.
