Sakura is SO selfish!

During the end of the first series (minus all of the fillers), she literally whined and cried for Naruto to bring Sasuke back in front of everyone,

because naruto was the only one who could. it was a sign that she considers naruto the strongest genin and the only one who could convince sasuke to give up on revenge since even she couldnt. it was a sign of total faith and admiration.

not giving two sh!ts about Naruto's feelings

sakura once said in part 2 that naruto would want to rescue sasuke regardless because of his brotherly feelings for him

She forced that burden onto him
she didnt force anything! she stated "because your the only one who even could bring him back". naruto accepted her request and promised to carry it through.

all for a fake romance she thought she had with someone she didn't know at all.

what? sakura knew sasuke very well. she knew the pain he was in because of revenge, and sasuke confided in her about how itachi was crying that night.

aruto gave up everything to bring back Sasuke for her,

um no. he didnt fight for her. he fought for himself. he fought because sasukes his brother figure and he looks up to him. sakura explained all this to sai. ho could you have missed it?

But luckily in the end Naruto says that he wants Sasuke back for himself.

sakura was already aware of that. thats why she said "next time lets do it together".

She's also a hypocrite. I remember in one of the earlier episodes (around 30, during the second chuunin exam in the Forest of Death) she told Sasuke to stop standing around and do something instead of being a coward... Now just how hilarious is that?

im sure she is willing to contradict herself if it means sasuke will fight and save them. after all how can they escape if she doesnt make that speech?

what the crap could she have done? how in the shit could she have helped kakashi and sasuke? i do not see you insulting and bullying naruto for shaking in his boots to demon brothers yet berating inari for crying and being a coward. wouldnt that make naruto a hypocrite as well?

She had absolutely no room to talk

apparently she does have room to talk since she did talk. i hardly think naruto's TNJ always involves shit he practices. he berated neji for talking about destiny but now naruto's a child prodigy son of the hokage destined to bring peace to the world.

He also saved her life from Orochimaru. Some freakin' gratitude. He had to stab himself to do that, too.

well one thing no one mentioned is that sakura apparently is completly heartless and amoral. she knows how lee feels about her and she didnt even ponder how he would feel by saying she loves someone else in front of him.

yes a medical nin who risked her life for almost complete and total strangers on multiple occasions is a heartless and amoral bitch because she cares more about the kyuubi getting captured than a chunin's feelings. makes so much sense...SHES A DAMN SHINOBI. they dont have time to be worrying about unimportant crap.

what...sakura has always been on naruto's side even if it meant her life would be taken because of it. hence her actions in the war arc. unlike many others who fight because tobi wants to mind control them, sakura has declared she will help because naruto shouldnt have to bear this fight all alone.

Kishi has even stated himself that he forgot about her.

he forgets about alot of people (kakashi's rampage, lee in general)

It's kind of sad how he forgets the "main heroine" of the series, but if Sakura was a male character I'm sure she would be as OP as Naruto and Sasuke

even if she were male shed only be about as powerful as lee. sakura has always been the normal person of the genins and representing human weakness.

Kishi is like "The hell with her, she can be a medical ninja and not fight since girls shouldn't fight as much as the guys."

how is being a medic nin saying "to hell with her"? if anything thats one of the hardest jobs in the army. its not possible if you dont have chakra control, intelligence and an iron will.

Before Sasuke was introduced in Shippuden she was so great, but I think her encounter with him, made her character regress somewhat to her younger self

her determination regarding sasuke gave her the strength she showed vs sasori. sasuke makes her stronger, not weaker.

lol cause she always contemplates about being too weak to aid Naruto.

Back on topic.... its funny how this thread has turned into a sakura vs hinata debate, if i read the thread correctly this discussion should be about sakura.... hinata shouldnt of even been mentioned. I can respect that u sakura fans/fanboys defending her name and all by using examples of her that u think is reasons why she is not useless/selfish but to try to drag hinata's name down along with sakura because u cannot counter the OT with logic but with fanboyism... i find that very pathetic.

If u think shes not useless/selfish, explain why without having to compare her with hinata please, if u cant dont even bother posting because ur rebuttal will be invalid and useless/selfish just like the thread title states. I suppose the only thing I really disliked about Sakura, was that she has always loved Sasuke for seemingly no other reason than the fact that she finds him attractive. Even as a young adult, after Sasuke is moved on, she is still obsessed with him, even after he tries to kill her.

I always found that pretty irritating, it kept me from ever liking Sakura. As soon as I start to like that character, she says something about Sasuke.

i don't see a monster in her but she tried what she isn't at all skilled at "carrying burdens alone" as her teammates are. Also she seems not love naruto but nothing says sasuke has no feelings for her and as for hinata nothing says naruto has no feelings for her. But again in the Orochimaru vs 4 tails scene what did yamato try to insinuate??? who knows sakura may have feelings for naruto and isn't seeing them herself.

Sakura, in Part I, was hands down the most annoying, insipid, useless character I'd ever seen. I wanted her to drop dead so badly.

Then lo and behold, character development in Shippuden! Well, the beginning of Shippuden. I actually started to like this character. I rooted for her during the fight with Sasori. I wanted her to become stronger and more mature, and maybe even end up with Naruto.

Then, she goes off and lies to Naruto, and tries to kill Sasuke on her own. Which is not only retarded, but also incredibly reckless. What. The. F*ck.

All I can ask is, why, Kishimoto? Why, when you had such good development going on in the beginning, WHY did you decide to ruin it for me? For heaven's sake, do you hate your own goddamn character? Do you enjoy making her look like an unlikable bitch?

In any case, at this point, I'm seriously through with Sakura. It would be best if she had an epic, emotional death or something, because I really can say that in the future, no matter what happens, I will always see Sakura as that chick with the shitty personality.

Yes and Hinata was an idiot when she did that (against direct orders, I might add). By luck and Plot no Jutsu, she managed to enrage Naruto to the point that he lost control of the Fox and got freed. The likeliest outcome would have been for her to die for nothing. By luck and Plot no Jutsu, the 6-tailed Naruto did not destroy and kill what was left over of the village. No military planner would go for a plan that has a 1% chance of success. The right approach would have been for her to inform other Ninjas of what was happening and organize a rescue attempt, not jump in front like a child.

I am not denying her courage, but I can't recall a single time in the story where Hinata actually took time to think out a strategy. She just lashes out - far worse than even part-1 Naruto... As a ninja she would be a complete fail if not for her Byakugan. As a person, she is completely one-dimensional, very sweet but nothing beyond an obsessive love for Naruto (well, I blame Kishimoto for that ).

I don't know if Naruto will end up with her, with Sakura or someone else (though my preference is for Sakura), but I hope it won't be Hinata. He needs someone that can balance his passion and impulsivity and can help with the intellectual/planning areas that he will have to develop if he were to succeed as Hokage. He does not need a groupy. I just can't see Hinata in that role.

I REALLY can't tell you how much I agree with this. It's as if her fanboys just don't see all that she HASN'T done compared to Sakura. But in any case, she doesn't have much to go on. At least we've seen, and are still seeing Sakura's skills because she's actually won the fights she's been in.
