I dislike Sakura but its not because she is weak or anything like that(well that's a minor reason) but she pulled a bitch move when she lied to Naruto. I feel that it was just out of the bounds of reason to pull something like that.

1. She didn't do it in private
I mean if your going to do something like that at least do it privately love is not something you just throw around like a shuriken or something.

2.She tried to make Naruto look like a fool
I mean she was basically trying to clown him in front of his teammates, teammates that he has been trying for years to get their respect if Naruto had believed her I think people would have had less respect for him not as a ninja but as a person.

3. She did it for herself
Sakura did it to make herself feel better this is kind of obvious though. I mean she felt all crummy that well she was making Naruto feel bad so she decided to fix the situation by making him a fool in front of his teammates. She wanted to make herself feel better about the whole situation.

4. In front of Hinata too?
Damn this bitch has no heart.

she is selfish because he has endangered her teammates on more that on occasion all due to her silly crush on sasuke - who doesn't give a crap about her. The whole 'it's because i love you' nonsense was no suprise at all.

She did that because she doesn't want Naruto to hold the burden of bringing Sasuke back to the village, which she asked him after Sasuke left, especially since he was mark for death by the kage. Also she wanted to kill Sasuke herself so Naruto wouldn't have to burden that as well, even though she wasn't able to. So if you think about it, it wasn't selfish at all.

I don't remember her telling her lie to Naruto in front of Hinata. If memory serves correct Hinata was nowhere near them when that happened. Sakura, Naruto and others were in the Land of Iron, while Hinata was in Konoha. If you're referring to when Sakura hugged Naruto, which I obviously know you aren't, then how would that be a b*tch move?

Also, while Sakura did pull a b*tchy move, she didn't do it purely for selfish reasons. The whole point of telling Naruto she "loved" him, was so that he could drop the promise he made to her about bringing Sasuke back. I'd also like to note, that Sakura hasn't been dangling over his head, or even been angry at Naruto that he hadn't brought Sasuke back to the village at that point. The promise that he made to her, became a promise that they both shared, since she stated at the end of Part 1, that next time she would go with Naruto and they would both bring Sasuke back "together.

Sakura, who most likely thought that Naruto's "promise" wasn't such a big deal, given the fact that it had become a team effort at one point, was shocked even more so by Sai when he told her that that promise was breaking Naruto apart, because of his love for her as well. Her whole point in lying to Naruto was to help get rid of his pain. Sakura even wanted Naruto to forget his promise as there were other pressing matters at the moment (Akatsuki).

She wanted to kill Sasuke not just for her, but because he was becoming a dangerous criminal, which is the very same reason why the other Kages wanted him dead.

Was she being selfish? Of course, but she wasn't being entirely selfish. Most of the things she did was to help Naruto get over the pain of his promise to her.

Could she have approached it differently? Yes, she could have and she should have. However, either her or Naruto could have told the others: Lee, Kiba, Sai, Kakashi, and Yamato, to kindly go away while they spoke with each other. Or they could of had the decency to excuse themselves.

Actually, she did it mainly for Naruto, not for herself. Shes less selfish than Hinata, I will tell you that much.

KAKASHI KNEW SHE WAS LYING SO HE TOLD YAMATO NOT TO INTERFERE
IT PROBABLY WOULD HAVE COMPLICATED THINGS

-> Who is thinking about Naruto and not about themselves? Btw. we cant really tell if Sakura was lying about loving Naruto, we only know for sure she lied when she said that she dont give a damn about Sasuke, and Naruto reacted to that part of her confession. Thats what Databook says.
From Sakura's chara page, "Naruto" section:
"Since when she was a child Sakura had always felt admiration and a feeling similar to love for Sasuke. Naruto was just an "annoying" boy who stood in the middle between Sakura and Sasuke and disturbed their relationship. But after completing many missions together with him, she looked back at the past and finally realized: when she was in trouble, when she was ready to give up on her life, the one who was always there, protecting her and encouraging her, was in fact that "annoying" boy, Naruto. What are her current feelings for Naruto...? Sakura still hasn't found an answer."

While some have made good points (about Sakura doing it to relieve Naruto from the promise he made her), I still don't like her. When she said all those things to Naruto and then hugged him, I got the feeling that she was jumping from one boy to the other. I mean she was 'in love' with Sasuke for years because he was cool, handsome, smart etc and Naruto was an annoying brat to her. Then when she sees that Sasuke isn't the perfect boy she imagined him to be, she drops him like a stone and then approaches Naruto (I can't remember if she said she loves him - my memory is a bit blurry about that part, because it has been a while since I last read those particular chapters).
A girl who gives up on a boy as soon as he shows he isn't the perfect person she imagined him to be, is a bit pathetic in my opinion. Naruto, who has had a Chidori shoved through his lung by his best friend and who has been training his ass off to catch up to Sasuke, still believes in his best friend when he didn't even like him in the beginning and a girl who claims to love him, gives up on. -_-
She may have tried to relieve Naruto from his burden but by doing it like that and by trying to kill Sasuke without telling Naruto about it, she didn't really succeed in her attempt. Plus I found it low of her that she didn't tell Naruto she was going after Sasuke. He had the right to know after all.
So yeah, I don't like Sakura at all. While she isn't a weak girl, her character isn't really likeable in my opinion.
But that's just what I think of it *shrugs*

She hadn't even gave up on him until he tried to kill her. Yes, she still loves him after everything he has done to her, Naruto, himself, and the world, but does she still want to pursue a relationship with a boy who is "insane"? No. Sakura would get backlash if she did still want to be Sasuke's girlfriend or whatever and would still probably get backlash if she didn't because it would mean that she was hoping from boy to boy. While Sakura has some feelings for Naruto, I wouldn't go on a limb and say they would start any kind of relationship or that she even loves him. Maybe as a brother, but as something more, I doubt it. Naruto, is just setting himself up for more hurt in believing that him and Sasuke can be friends or have any kind of friendly relationship with each other, while Sakura knows that nothing can happen now. She knows that Sasuke is really lost and has given up on him, but not her love for him. Hell, even Kakashi gave up on Sasuke a long time ago, but does he receive any criticism for it? Yes, Naruto did have the right to know, but at the same time he didn't. Sakura wasn't doing this only for her or him she was doing it for the benefit of the world. If she told Naruto, who is very stubborn, then he would tell her not to. I think that if she had the guts to kill Sasuke and followed up with it, a lot of the things would have possibly resolved. The war may have still gone on, but she would have removed someone from the world who could have caused future conflict.

I dearly hope that Kishimoto-sensei isn't going to let Naruto end up with Sakura. That would just ruin the serie for me. And I wouldn't go as far as to say that Sasuke is insane. Besides if someone like Sasuke had really existed and had acted like that, I wouldn't have given up on him. If I considered him as my best friend, I would support him and try to help him heal, not giving up on him because he isn't perfect anymore. Maybe I'm insane, but best friends are there for each other - and if one of the two is acting stupid (or acting like Sasuke does now - which is completely understandable in my opinion, but that's a whole other subject), then it's the task of the other to smack some sense in him.
So I'm sorry, but Sakura doesn't deserve my respect. She may be good in healing and fighting, I give her that, but the way she handled the whole Naruto, Sasuke thing ... That completely ruined her for me.

She isn't selfish. Do you guys just love to hate her? All that she's done has been for Naruto and Sasuke. That's why she's a medical ninja. The last time we saw her, she was thinking how much she wants to help Naruto and how unfair it is that he's always saddled with the task of saving the world. Hinata was more selfish as all she thinks about is a relationship that is probably never gonna happen. If you're expecting her to get with him, I'd say Sakura's chances are way higher since they have history together.
Anyway, she is a medical ninja so she helps the people around her without question. She sees many people and treats them simply because she wants to. Nobody forces her to be a med. She trained under Tsunade to be able to protect the ones she loves. How is that selfish?

You guys seriously just need to get used to her, and Sasuke for all the Sasuke haters out there, or just get lost. She's important to Naruto, so she's important to the series. Get used to her or just stop reading it. Simple as that.
