Because if you noticed, the Slugs work in accordance to the Byakugo power they use and in this chapter it was mentioned that basically, Katsuyu liquified itself and in that area, no matter what happens with the soldiers, they'll regenerate via the Slug which transfers the technique to the others thanks to Tsunade and Sakura, as in, Byakugo.
It's no longer simple healing as Sakura did back when the other parts died, it's regeneration as now, even if the tree tries to suck their chakra and damage them, they'll take none because Sakura and Tsunade use the Byakugo together.

Well, that's why the strategy is that the rest of the alliance attacks the tree and they come as a support to make sure nothing like that happens.

It was blatantly obvious Sakura was going to gain Byakugou ever since she got the seal. When I said this months ago, everybody was just like "Nah man it's only the seal". It should have been obvious she was going to get it, just like how it was obvious Tobi was Obito.

If anything, Sasuke's Perfect Susano'o stunt was an asspull...

They could be transfering chakra and regenate the wounded at the same time .

What I think,Kishimoto didn't know exactly how to build her up so he had option A or B.

Out of all those panels, Sakura gets in the manga. He couldn't take about 1 or maybe 2 panels saying something along this
"I'm going to show my full power during the war"

"I need to continue my training so I can use my full power during the war"

I mean damn, you can't take 1-2 panels of your time to make that kind of foreshadow for one of your main characters.

You're right I did not expect her to have that because there was no foreshadow of even doing this, the only mention we get of it. Is some flashback right after she gets this and before she gets it...a thrown in panel mention.

But I do believe Kishimoto, had to do a quick think for her and this the best he could come up with. I'm not mad, but if you're not going to develop Sakura for nearly all of part 2...atleast have some decency to let people know you are.

I would have liked it if there was some deviation between Sakura and Tsunade instead of them being literal copies. Punch hard, heal fast, summon giant slug.

Itachi and Sasuke were brothers and they had deviation.

Even Choji and his father, and they were side characters.
