I made a thread about this the other day but I think I accidentally closed it.
Basically, I watched the anime for the first time in a long time and I saw the new opening and this caught my eye:
In this short sequence, the two transmigrants (Sasuke and Naruto) replace Indra and Ashura, respectively. The reason for this is pretty obvious to show the connection between the two but what is more interesting is that Sakura replaces Hagoromo in this sequence, standing directly in the middle of Sasuke and Naruto. Is this a strong hint that Sakura is the transmigrant of Hagoromo?
Think about it. We know that Sasuke and Naruto are incarnations of Indra and Ashura but we never had any backstory on who Sakura was the incarnation of.
Hagoromo=Yin and Yang in perfect harmony. Sakura is the same, she has two spiritual energies and inner Sakura is the source of one of these. I think we've found the reason why Inner Sakura was never fully explained, let's look forward to Boruto generations and seeing this develop.
