The first rule of a medical ninja is, so long as the medic has breath in their lungs, they should keep on healing.
Sakura had no breathe and still choose to heal, she just said that because she had the byakugou seal and breaking the rule were to be excepted. And oddly enough she was still able to give naruto rescue breathes, despite not breathing.
