Naruto was mentally ready to become Hokage when he conquered his hatred and obtained KCM. The Hokage needs to be a generally understanding person (which Naruto is) and able to protect his village.
Plus, I doubt there will be a leaf village after this war. All villages will have a jointed government with a new leader and central village (Naruto). <--- Theory
But there will be heads of each village (Tsunade/Sasuke/Kakashi/Shikamaru, Ay, Ohnoki, Mei, and Gaara.) <-- Also just a theory.

Saying he "has surpassed" Minato or Jiraya =/= competence in an entirely different field.

Naruto has no skills of his own related to Hokage'ing, Shikamaru doesn't have the motivation. Sakura has both. How is she not better, as they are now?

He had the attitude, definetly. But I don't think he's suited for the actual JOB. I also think there won't be a "village system", not exactly. But the villages will still exist, and people won't automatically like the other countries just because they fought in a war on the same side. Remember, they've fought many more wars AGAINST each other, and lost friends and family.

What I think would be most fitting would be that Naruto would become a wanderer, like Jiraiya, and the Sage. Teach people to trust each other, and believe each other, and mend a fractured world.

I just don't think he'll be Hokage.

It kinda would though. His trials in the Chuunin Exams and beyond didn't make him a chuunin. His battle with Pein didn't make him Hokage. He's been fighting and fighting not for rank and recognition but, gradually, to protect more and more people.

Deeply well enough I know Sakura is OP in my opinion. However, just because she's more fit doesn't mean she deserves it. The only thing she deserves is her hubby Sasuke. Let Naruto get what he wanted so this random shit series can finally end.
