[Discussion] Sakura didn't really get a power up and she's not on par with Naruto and Sasuke

Look, I know what you are thinking. But this is not a Sakura hate thread. There are so many Sakura haters here so it is easy to mistake this as a hate thread but... it's not.

Okay, so, in the latest chapter, Sakura did this mega-punch thing and people were saying that she got some kind of "power-up". But it's no really a powerup because it took three years to charge it. Maybe I'm just confused but I'm pretty sure she can't do that again for another three years. Then, suddenly she says that she finally caught up with Naruto and Sasuke. I admit that what she did was impressive but does she really think it makes her as powerful as Kurama's Jinchuuriki and a master of the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan? I don't know if maybe, what she meant was that she prepared for three years and now she has the ability to increase her punches like that. If that is the case then yes, of course she is as powerful and Naruto and Sasuke.

So post what you think about it and could someone tell me if she can do those punches whenever she likes or does she have to gather chakra for another three years. I don't know if anyone will know because it wasn't very clear.

She was doing "mega punches" like that since the beginning of part 2. She used a similar technique against Kakashi, and later against Sasori. The punch is not something new or interesting. What is interesting is that she might have Tsunade's mitosis rebirth technique and become effectively immortal for a short time.

but is the same, they focus their chakra into specific points in their body so that the chakra goes there, the same thing that Sakura did. The difference is that Sakura uses this to store chakra where she is focusing and like you said Hyuga use this for offensive and their eyes.

If we talk about fighting, she is absolutely NOT on par with Naruto and Sasuke! Her specialty is being a medical ninja and she is only good as a support. It's better for her not to fight, but to focus on saving as many loves as she can.

Sakura can now compete with them.
However, the seal is there to stay. Once it's out of chakra, she'll recharge it, exactly like Tsunade does.
It took three years for it to FORM it.

Take it as a...how should I say...

You build a glass...it takes you, theoretically speaking, 3 years to build it.
Now, after the water is gone... the glass stays, you just have to refill it.

Got it? Or do I need to explain better?! Though the analogy might not be that helpful. ^_^

lol Chatte I know you love sakura and I don't mind her either I think she can be cool sometimes and the whole seal thing is cool and all but she CAN'T compete with naruto. And frankly at this point in time if her naruto and sasuke fought outside the context of story naruto would slaughter both of them. Her powers are cool and she is def a strong shinobi but naruto is on a whole nother level. Her powers make her strong enough to have the privilege of fighting next to naruto and sauske but "compete"......lol no just......no

It's like in school... Let's say Sasuke is best at math, Naruto at English and Sakura in biology.
Each of them have their field where they excel, though they have overall complete skills.

Keeping with the analogy, we still haven't seen all of Sakura's report card yet. For all we know she has a few A's (jutsus) up her sleeve.

she could have all the good grades (jutsu) she wants. In a fight with either sauske or naruto she would stand no chance. Sasuke is....well sauske. And naruto is quite possibly one of the most op characters in the entire manga now. Putting sakura on their level is nothing more than fan bias

My point is we have no clue what she's capable of because Kishi hasn't shown us her hand. Saying she can't hold her own held water a few chapters ago but it doesn't anymore. For all we know she invented this new seal she's using.

Of course shes not on par with them, like you said its an EMS user and a jinchuuriki. What she meant is she is now strong enough to actually fight with them instead of being the one they have to defend and take care of. She obviously knows shes not as strong as they are.
