And we were TOLD that Rikudou's name is Hagoromo Ootsuki. Doesn't mean Kishimoto can't turn it around on us at all. And given that his reincarnation (Naruto) is an Uzumaki (half), it's in the realm of possibilities. I have seen too many of these threads. Is it really that hard to realize that the hyuga and uzamaki were the sage's earlier descendants and later the Senju and Uchiha derived from them. It's not a hard concept.

And most likely the Kyuubi's seal is the Sage's jutsu.

While that is possible, theres an equal chance that he only had 2 children like it was stated, or that he changed it to Inuzuka(Kiba's clan) or something else.

madara already had the rinnegan and planned on being the juubi's jin the sage wasnt a uzumaki and got the rinnegan by being the juubi's jin when madara already has it,makes no sense
