Anyone else notice that since the sage was a jinchuuriki and he used Banbutsu sozo to split the juubi into 9 tailed beasts. He lived the process... You can only imagine the vitality that guy must have had to live having your tailed beast removed. Kushina would have died shortly if she didn't get clawed by the kyuubi then have some of her chakra sealed inside of naruto. But the sage probably lived longer than that afterwards.
