Garrett took a cautious step onto the battlefield, it had been too long since his last fight, he knew he wasn't completely ready for this. Garrett's grip around his trusted Staff of Parthalan tightened, he didn't have time to fear for his life. Garrett's eyes seached the great plain field of grass he was currently standing on, for an enemy, for anything, a single sign of life. Finally he laid eyes on his opponent, The man looked so normal, so regular, if Garrett hadn't been able to almost taste the great amounts of chakra the man was flaring, he would've thought him to be a regular man. Garrett thought back on his life, he thought of his belowed and the feeling of loosing her, a tear made it way down his cheek, he would never allow anyone he loved to be hurt ever again.
"My beloved this is for you"
Garrett took a slow deep breath, as he exhaled, the lyrium tattoo's on his skin began to glow, he felt the familia sensation of chakra coursing through his system. Garrett closed his eyes and pointed his war staff at his opponent.
"Have hope. Remember."

As Garrett's eyes snapped open, he felt his chakra spike, his muscles tensed, he dropped his staff, and the Champion did what had to be done.
In a single fluid motion, Hawke used the seals on his bracers to summon a rigged demon wind shuriken in each of his hands, and spun around while throwing the pair at his opponent. Both shurikens had ninja wire attached to them, and Garrett made sure to keep it as invisible as possible, to increase his chance of surprising his opponent. The two shurikens flew in two perfect archs, with great speed and precision. The two shurikens flew in each their arch, and were quickly approaching the target from each their side.
If the shurikens aren't blocked, they'll smash into you form each side and severely injure you, maybe even puncture some internal organs since it's aimed at your stomach and chest.
What the opponent didn't know, was that Garrett had thrown a second rigged demon wind shuriken to hide in the shadow of the left shuriken he threw. The hidden shuriken was thrown so that it would slightly change it's trajectory when it had flown about 75% of the way towards you, and therefore miss you by a couple of inches. This tiny change in it's trajectory would be almost impossible to see, since it starts when the shurikens are very close to you, and since it only needs to change it's trajectory enough to miss you by an inch or two. This shuriken also have ninja wire atached to it.

(Kage Shuriken no Jutsu) - Shadow Shuriken Technique

Description: Kage Shuriken no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing a giant Windmill Shuriken. When throwing the shuriken, the ninja will also throw a second giant shuriken to hide in the shadow of the first. The hidden secondary shuriken can then approach the target without their being aware.

The second the shurikens left Garrett's hands, he clapped his hands together into the tiger seal, which immediately caused the opponent to get caught in a Genjutsu. In the Genjutsu the target would sink into the ground quickly, but he wouldn't panic or think much about it, cause the Genjutsu also made the target see hundreds of butterflies flying around him, and the opponent would have a great urge to just stare at them and do nothing.

Description: Traps user in an illusion were they first think that they are sucked into he ground to shoulder height and then they see butterflies but they are really paper bombs that explode once the user puts the main seal on the enemies head.

Immediately as the Genjutsu began to affect the opponent, Hawke performed a very quick row of handseals which caused hundreds of demon wind shurikens to appear. Since the shurikens are perfect copies of the original shurikens, they will also have ninja wire attached to them. The copies appeared just as the hidden shuriken changes it's trajectory, and you would therefore be completely unable to notice the hidden shuriken and it's clones, and this is if you ever managed to escape the Genjutsu.

(Shuriken Kage Bunshin no Jutsu) - Shuriken Shadow Clone Jutsu

Description: Projectile Kage Bunshin no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique that uses Kage Bunshin to create multiple physical clone copies from one thrown projectile.

Just as the shurikens were about to hit you, Garrett pulled the ninja wire, which causes the blades on all the shurikens, except the hidden one and it's clones, to disconnect and fire in all directions, except directly backwards where he was standing. The deadly wall of shurikens was now be able to cover four times as much area, and it could hit almost everything on the entire battlefield.
The hundreds of shurikens will impale and brutally kill you if they hit.
As this rain of shurikens was attacking you, the hidden shurikens and it's clones passed you without harming you, because of all the chaos, and considering everything else, there was no way for you to know they were there. Even if you did spot one or two, they could might as well have been be shurikens that didn't react to the ninja wire, or malfunctioned. As soon as the shurikens passed you Garrett pulled the ninja wire connected to the hidden shurikens and it's clones, which caused them all to disconnect and shoot blades in all direction, especially backwards into your back. Since Garret was positioned right in front of you he woldn't get hit by the shurikens in any way. You would be his shield.
These shurikens were a second wave of death, and they'll turn you into something similar to goo, if they all get a hit.
Immediately after pulling all that ninja wire Garrett released the wire, picked up his Staff, infused it with lightning, and threw it with full power firectly at you.

When i say left or right, i am always talking about MY left or right, unless i have specifically stated otherwise in my move.

As you summon the giant shuriken, I know what jutsu I want to use. However, in order for me to complete the handseals in time, I absolutely need to distance myself from the projectile.

So, as you're about to throw them, I start performing a complex series of handseals while crouching and infusing chakra in my legs for a brief moment. Then the moment the shurikens leaves your hands, I make a powerful backward jump, while still performing handseals. This sudden urge of chakra would increase my flight speed even if so little, allowing me to end my jutsu in time before the shuriken gets near me.

Description: User will concentrate on his wind chakra and then send it into the sky. Originally Gaara's technique, different characters will need to perform handseals in order to imbue their chakra in the air. In conjuction with the wind primarly sent to the sky, a huge spiraling sphere of wind is created than is strong enough to do major damage to even a Summoning like Gamabunta.

Now there's two important thing to notice here. First of all, since we started mid range I was undoubtedly out of range for your Genjutsu to take action when you performed it (which was after throwing the shuriken). By the time you could even mold your chakra and perform handseals, I was in the air in what could be considered between mid-long range.

The second is; as I was performing my backflip and finishing my handseals, I was able to tilt my head in your direction, shooting a gigantic ball of wind, destroying everything in its path while completely nullifying your shuriken attack.

Now, the attack is moving in your direction, and according to your timing, I'd say you were about to perform your Shadow Shuriken jutsu (of course you'll cancel that and do something to save your live ).

I now have a clear view of what you're doing since I'm now in the descending part of my back flip. Just before I hit the ground I perform 5 other handseals and as I land, I slam my hand on the ground (remember I jumped really far and I had most of the handseals already done for my other jutsu before even jumping so I would have the time to do this).

Then, as you were probably in the midst of performing a counter to the wind, a jaw made of earth emerge from beside you and start to devour half of your body.

*As Hawke was about to close the trap around his opponent, the man countered with extreme speed and flexibility, he practically disappeared from view with his blinding speed.
'Impossible! My attack was timed perfectly! How could he see through it!?' before Hawke could react, the man fired a great ball of wind at Hawke, the speed of the attack left Hawke stunned, his senses went into overdrive and his 6th sense practically took over all his actions.
'I gotta stop that ball of wind, it'll rip me to shreds if i don't!'
Hawke desperately formed 2 handseals, and with all his strength he slammed his palm against the ground, he felt a lot of his chakra leave his body, and suddenly he felt a bit dizzy from chakra exhaustion.
"Kuchiyose! Sanjū Rashōmon!" Hawke cried, and three great gates shot up through the ground and formed 3 protective layers. Hawke sighed in relief, he was safe for the moment.*


As you fire your great ball of wind at me i forget all about performing my shadow shuriken jutsu. (As you had foreseen ) Instead i perform two quick handseals and slams my palms against the ground, this immediately causes three gigantic gates to rise up in front of me. The gates are incredibly sturdy, and they'll block your vision of me entirely. The tripple Rashomon can, according to the NB jutsulist, withstand up to A-ranked techniques, and along with the wikia info that says that it can protect the summoner from a 4th tailed Kyuubi tailed beast ball as a maximum, i'm pretty sure that at least one of the gates will still be standing after your attack. You should also take into consideration your attack explodes on contact, it won't continue, but to avoid all arguments, we'll say that only one gate survives the attack.

(Kuchiyose: Sanjū Rashōmon) - Summoning Technique: Triple Rashōmon

Description: This summoning is an upgrade of the standard Rashomon in which the user summons 3 of these demonic forms of the main gate of old Kyoto. Each gate has a specific duty: the first red gate takes the attack head-on, the second green gate reduces the power of the attack, and the third blue gate disperses the pressure.
Note: This technique can only block A rank and below.

*As soon as the Gates of old Kyoto appeared, Hawke stood up and spun around while quickly summoning one of his special weapons, he used the momentum from the spin and his full strength to give the umbrella as much speed as he could. Hawke knew he had to counter-attack, and fast. The umbrella took off with great speed, and Hawkes eyes were lit with hope. Maybe he could make this work.
'I don't have much chakra left, i can't stay here forever.'
Hawke searched every corner of his mind for a way to disguise his attack, and suddenly the idea struck him.
Who said ideas under pressure were bad?*

As soon as the gates appear, i use one of the summoning seals on my bracers, to summon an umbrella while i simultanously spin around to gain maximum momentum. Then i throw the umbrella upwards, in an angle where it will pass over the last standing gate, and continue towards you. When the umbrella reaches maximum height, it will unfold. The umbrella reaches maximum height when it's a good way over the gate. (Ask me over VM if you have a special need for me to be specific about this)
This umbrella is a bit special from the regular umbrellas of this kind, it has flashbombs tied to the bottom of it, but they're disguised very neatly as a part of the umbrella to avoid detection. The flashbombs will detonate the second the umbrella unfolds, and you will be severely blinded for a while. I will not be blinded since i'm protected by the gate.
Yes, i know you specified in your move that your jaws would appear as i countered your wind ball, but i begin my jutsu as soon as you fire your wind ball, my technique only requires 2 handseals, and your jaws have to appear before they can swallow me, and they don't just swallow me instantly. (This was shown when it was used by Hiruko) Me throwing a summoned umbrella takes a second or less, i spin around as i summon it to gain maximum momentum, and then i throw it, the rest doesn't require for me to stand still, and therefore i'll have a few seconds to dodge your attack.
Now, if you have a problem with the range, let me just say that a regular kunai can be thrown long range, since long range is about 25 meters. (Or something close to that.) So i'm of course able to throw an un-opened umbrella the distance i want to. The short to mid range must refer to the area the needles can reach, wouldn't you agree?

Description:A technique that utilizes an umbrella as well as various needles, sending the umbrella into the air and sending down a great deal of needles at the opponent which can be controlled by chakra.

*Hawke suddenly felt a disturbance in the earth beneath him, and forced himself to go underground, which didn't help on his lack of chakra, quite the contrary. Hawke traveled through the ground as quickly as possible, while trying to avoid being exposed or becoming easy prey for the opponents techniques.
'I have to attack him from one of his blind spots, and i think i know just the place.'
With the help of his jutsu, Hawke could detect everything that happened on the surface, and therefore when he emerged from the ground, he was positioned perfectly to attack his opponents exposed side.
Hawke immediately activated his senbon-umbrealla, and began bombarding the man with kunais, as if he was evil-incarnated. He had to finish this now.*

The second the umbrella leaves my hand, i dig into the ground, and thereby avoids your last technique. You won't know that i'm underground since the gate is blocking your view, and since your own attack is really big and will therefore shoot ruble and dust everywhere, making it even more difficult to spot anything on the battlefield. I don't go very deeply underground, just enough to avoid detection, but still close enough to the surface to sense everything, and avoid any attacks that you might shoot at me. I quickly travel to my left, in an angle where i enter mid range pretty fast.
As soon as i enter mid range, i pop out from the ground and forms the tiger handseal, which causes the umbrella to bombard you with a rain of senbons. I aim the seonbons so that they'll cover as large an area as possible, without hurting me. These senbons are extremely sharp, and they will puncture and hit vital organs if you don't block/dodge them. As you're being bombarded with senbons i throw a barrage of 10 kunais at you. My underground voyage takes very little time, so you won't have recovered from the flashbangs.

(Doton: Moguragakure no Jutsu) – Earth Release: Hiding like a mole technique

Description: The user changes earth into fine sand by channeling chakra into it, allowing the user to dig through it like a mole. While underground one can sense what is happening on the surface and use the information to launch a surprise attack on the enemy. Once can also hide deep in the ground, escaping to a depth where the enemy cant reach.
