Doing this is entirely circumstantial ...Firstly jiraya has to pull out the paper, draw the fire sealing method on it, then slam his hand.. All while amaterasu is burning away at him.. Highly unlikely anyone can do that.. not with amaterasu on their face etc..


Not only that but most likely the paper he's using for the seal will catch on fire thus rendering everything useless..

he can make bunshin to do it for him also but I agree, it's not cut and dried at all. that's said, Jiraiya does have many half counters for pretty much anything, whether he can pull them off or not is another story... it all comes down to knowledge and experience in the end. Jiraiya in part 1 having never seen amaterasu might fail in countering it or suffer serious damage, if he knows what to expect is another story entirely, just like Kakashi with Tsukuyomi. in the end you're right, it's very circumstantial.

He cant dodge amaterasu obviously. He isnt even a 5/5 in speed in the databooks and Raikage V2 was only capable of dodging amaterasu 1 time and was hit the 2nd time and was going to be hit the third time in his fight against sasuke. Are you saying raikage V2 has the same reflexes as sage mode jiraya lmao? Raikage barely dodged it the first time even though he was standing on the other side of the battlefield. Sage mode jiraya isnt dodging amaterasu. Hell even tobi was hit straight in the face by an amaterasu. The move was known as an unavoidable move until the ranks of speed of minato and the 4th raikage were exhibited. and even the 4th raikage dodged it one time and was hit the next time. Regardless of jiraya being able to sense chakra how the **** will he know that he is being hit by amaterasu? hell when jiraya saw the amaterasu in part 1 he had no idea what it was. He said "this fire isnt normal" he didnt even know what it was, he only knew it wasnt normal. He didnt even know what tsukuyomi was. when he saw sasuke he told gai "he was hit by some brain blast technique." Even if he can sense chakra he isnt going to know what is being used and he sure as **** doesnt have the speed or reflexes to do anything about it anyways. As fire as i know the only characters capable of dodging amaterasu 1 or more times are characters with 5/5 speed in the databooks or are capable of reaching that speed due to enhancements. these characters are, "Naruto, Itachi, Minato, Raikage, tobi if in the right circumstances, possibly sasuke". Kabuto is also a character who can just shed his skin after being hit by the move, same with orochimaru. Regardless, even the characters on that list need to be under perfect circumstances to dodge the move. If not they will be hit, and they most likely arent going to dodge amaterasu the entire battle. they may dodge it once but they will eventually be hit
