sage mode jirayia can dodge Amaterasu

stfu that was itachi toying amaterasu is like a laser its seems instant but its not jiraiya has shown no speed feats whats so ever he is surely not fast enuff to where an eye cannot see him a sharingan eye at that

anyways jiraiya strongest attack is a rasengan wich does nothing to a ribcage of susanoo sage mode or not jiraiya isnt avading amaterasu if he could sense it just like when sasuke fought lee he seen his moves yet his body was to slow to react

I like uchihas as much as the next person but calm down. Jiraiya is tiers above Sasuke so it stands to reason that he could dodge it. This is straight from the wiki page

Jiraiya doesn't have a sensor ability but Naruto.
And even if he could, Amaterasu is still to fast for him. Kabuto wasn't able to react on Sasukes Amaterasu too, it arose suddenly before his legs when he was running towards him.

But Sasuke was able to dodge itachi's Amaterasu in Cursed mode.

SM allows the person in SM to be stronger in strength and faster in speed. That helps them dodge it. What SM also does is sense danger too.

I highly doubt Jiraya has Sensing abilities... Well besides the fact that he's an imperfect sage and thus obviously won't have all sage abilities... He simply hasn't showed or hinted to anything of the kind... Everything more hints to him not having it imo..

Pein's path sneaking up on him, something a sensor like muu or naruto would have picked up on.. he didn't realize.. An argument can be made that he had his "guard down" , but at the end of the day it's all speculation..

Just because you can sense chakra dosen't mean you can dodge it.

its up in the air if he can sense it, but its unlikely he can dodge it. As stated above, kabuto couldnt either, i believe the reason is that if you search ameterasu in the data books, it says it is dark fire summoned from the depths of hell, whether its a description is speculation but it could very well mean it is chakra based fire summoned to the point where the ms user is looking at (except sasuke whose ability is to control ameterasu). That said, given that summonings are instantaneous, jman wouldnt be able to sense it (once again, thats if his imperfect SM can sense chakra) until it has spawned on him. Jman is a favorite of mine, but common sense and gleaning hat has been said about ameterasu shows that until its described more, jman canot dodge it.

I dont know why some people are using the Sasuke vs Itachi fight as a reference to how Jiraiya could counter Itachis tecniques & jutsu, when Itachi clearly had no intent to Kill Sasuke. But still, I just dont see how some of you ****riding Uchiha fanboys can just that Jiraiya would stand no chance against Itachi. Jiraiya has WAY more experience than Itachi. And on the other hand we have only seen Jiraiya pushed to his limit once (Jiraiya vs Pain) & then he died. I dont think we have enough evidence to determine how Jiraiya could counter ALL of Itachi's abilities (let alone Amaterasu) or finish him off. I gotta call a NO CONTEST on this due to lack of evidence & proof on Jiraiyas behalf.

P.S: Since when is dodging Amaterasu the only way to counter it? Gaara countered amaterasu w/o dodging it. Some of you think simple minded.

you've managed to infer quite a lot from my one sentence. where did I say that Jiraiya can use that trick multiple times, or that he's invincible to amaterasu? Didn't you get that I said that he would still be somewhat harmed by it before he pulls off the seal?

jiraiya can probably seal it once, and after a thorough burning i'll doubt he'll be so stupid as to remain in plain sight in front of the sharingan again. he has enough doton and barrier techs to keep his distance. Plus, amaterasu isn't very spammable, by Itachi at least. Sasuke can spam it though.
