He protected luffy even after everyone Did EVERYTHING to save him, how while leaning on luffys shoulder, telling him to tell everyone "thank you for loving someone like me" How so many flashbacks of ace as a kid, adults telling him that if Gol D Roger had a son, he should just die( in many awful ways) so sad . Ace had always wondered if he should be alive
