I approach the edge of the water and stare down at my reflection. Putting my hands together I begin to focus my chakra, pushing it down to the bottom of my feet. After focusing a layer of chakra onto the underside of my feet I slowly lift my foot and place it atop the surface of the water. I allow the chakra to merge slightly with the water making sure that while its connects to the water, it doesn't leave my foot. I then attempt to bring my other foot onto the water, doing the same thing as with the other.
*As soon as you put the second foot on the water, you fall right into the water.*
Hm... ok, I mislead you a bit there. :| Running two seperate sources of chakra is a very advanced thing to try, something that only a few ninja can do. By focusing two chakra sources, you risk making one of them, or even both of them, deplete because you're attempting to keep two different lines of chakra alive.
Instead, try to focus the chakra in a pool under your feet, or try to connect them in some way such as that. It'll be a bit more difficult for you to move than someone who can focus two different lines of chakra, but that will come later. Focus chakra in a pool under your feet, and just keep moving the pool of chakra as you move your feet.
