Just read 731 and although its been long obvious that sabo's alive (the only question was when he would make his appearance) this chapter has put the long wait to an end, though I doubt he's shichibukai, since koala was introduced as "revolutionary" and he's with koala and also since he'd met dragon earlier at the goa kingdom incident , so he's probably revolutionary.

Though the big question is, "how did luffy know koala?" Koala was aboard the sun pirates ship as a child after being freed from the celestial dragons and it doesn't look like her hometown was goa kingdom

Luffy's childhood revolved around goa kingdom, and so did ace and sabo, sabo supposedly died in goa kingdom and luffy left goa when he was 17 a short while before he met coby and his crew, so there's no possible link as at now connecting him to koala. Though the next chapter might explain it all

Actually, it was announced that there was a new Shichibukai, remember that Marine guy was talking about it and he said "Then there's that new one I mentioned earlier."

Luffy just isn't an up-to-date person, he doesn't read the paper and such, and that would be even more escalated by his reclusive training with Rayleigh over the past 2 years. It's possible that with Kuma compromised, Dragon needed a new spy of his level and to make up to Sabo for not letting him join the war, he let him be the spy.

OT: There's no current relation between Koala and Luffy... the only relationships she'd have to relevant characters right now would be Robin, Dragon, Sabo, and Jinbei.


Anyhow, yes, Sabo is highly likely to be a Revolutionary. There is no other reason for him to speak with Koala. Furthermore, recall this: Koala is a substitute Fishman Karate teacher. Earlier we saw Hack (a master with Fishmen Karate/ Fishmen Juijitsu) talking to an unknown person on the Den Den Mushi... he likely was speaking to Sabo. Making three present Revolutionaries.

The new Shichibukai is unlikely to be Sabo. The individual was responsible for killing Z's family years ago and cutting his arm off. The age Sabo would have had to been was around 13 which wouldn't work considering Z would be near admiral level. This is based on information that was written by Oda... though I can't recall where it was. It was something that he wrote as info on or promo for Film Z.

First thing, Koala and Luffy doesn't have any connection even in the current chapter. The person with whom Koala was talking over DenDenMushi was Sabo. (disguised as Lucy) Luffy had already left the tournament in the fish's costume.
Second, I think Sabo is the Shichibukai similar to Kuma, acting as a spy for Dragon. We all know there's another Shichibukai whose name, identity etc hasn't been declared in the manga. That is Sabo.

Possibly Oda wants to explain Sabo's journey towards the Shichibukai through Sabo himself
