its not a matter of how the fight starts, this is a purely hypothetical situation in which there are simply two people fighting. there doesnt have to be an explanation. kind of like how people ask "who would win, prime 3rd or itachi?"

Wow I think this is the first time i've seen a fight where the S06P might loose. And to people literally taking the S06P as a god then you are mistaken, he was considered as a 'god' because of his jutsus had never been seen before and his impressive feats. If he actually was a god then he wouldnt have died of old age, while on the other hand the Shinigami is literally the God of death so the Shinigami takes this!
