Tiashe's attention shifted from the student to a man walking up to him and waving. It was no other than the legendary Senju, Hashirama. Things could get a little fun around here finally. When the man reached him, Tiashe politely nodded to acknowledge his presence, before introducing himself.
Greetings, Sensei. My name is Tiashe, and it is an honour to be learning under you.
And it was. Tiashe was quite pleased to be his student. Tiashe was then told to describe Taijutsu to him. He decided that he must do a very good job. After all, it would be no good to give a lousy explanation in front of this man. And so he started to tell his teacher all that he knew about Taijutsu.
Taijutsu is a martial arts which utilises a ninja's body. All humans possess the innate ability to perform Taijutsu, even if they do not know how to use chakra. That is because it is a natural ability, and most techniques do not require the usage of chakra nor of hand seals. Instead, what is required to perform Taijutsu are both physical and mental energies, both of which can be found in anyone. And these two energies are exemplified through training. Stamina and strength. That is what comes out of the training. And also flexibility. A ninja should be flexible enough to carry out attacks. If not, they can end up injuring themselves in the process. However, even though I mentioned that Taijutsu does not require chakra, chakra can still be used to enhance a technique. This may make it faster, or stronger. If the person is hard working and has a strong will like Rock Lee, they can be masters at this art. That is why, I shall give this form of fighting my best shot.
Also, Taijutsu is done in short range, since it is hand to hand combat. There are certain stances and poses that come with some techniques. These can be for better balance, or just better execution of that certain technique. In Taijutsu, techniques can consist of attack based, defense based, and stealth based. There might be more, but I am not too sure on that concept yet. There are also different styles of Taijutsu, each of which produce their own unique techniques. Take for example, the Gentle Fist. That fighting style is completely different from some others. Each one is unique. In Taijutsu, transformations can also be done, like entering the Seven Gates. This requires a lot of strength though.
Having told his teacher what Taijutsu was, as well as its usages, Tiashe went on to explain the advantages and disavantages. He did not, however, have much knowledge on this, so he just said however much he knew.
I see that Taijutsu would be useful for ninja who prefer to fight in short range. Some ninja may be very uncomfortable in short range, so this would be to the advantage of those who enjoy it. Also, another advantage is that this form of fighting can be done by anyone, as it does not require chakra. I basically already covered this.
Now for disadvantages... Since it is a short ranged skill, many may not be good at it. Attacks may not be dodged easily if concentration is lacking. Reaction times must be very fast, so as to evade attacks from a very close range. It would be quite draining on the mind if a Taijutsu battle was to continue on for too long, because the amount of concentration may make a person break down after a while.
After his explanation, Tiashe's gaze drifted off to somewhere in the distance, as he went over in his mind all that he had just told Hashirama. He wondered if it was good enough, or if he had missed something out. That would be no good if he had. He did not wish to embarrass himself in front of Hashirama on his very first lesson with him.
