[Nin] Ryóma learns Ninjutsu with Souji

Souji Seta (looks are my avatar) enters the training grounds with a large backpack filled with weapons, scrolls, and other ninjutsu-related things. He sees his student, Tiashe, waiting. He walks up to him, waving sheepishly.
"Sorry, sorry! Had to make sure I had everything. Anyway, welcome to training! Thank you for being early. I'm Souji Seta, your sensei for today. Would you care to give me an introduction? Let's get things rolling."
He put down the bag with a notable thud.

"Sorry, sorry! Had to make sure I had everything. Anyway, welcome to training! Thank you for being early. I'm Souji Seta, your sensei for today. Would you care to give me an introduction? Let's get things rolling."
He put down the bag with a notable thud.

Whilst waiting in the training grounds for his Sensei, Tiashe spots a handsome young looking man making his way towards him. From where he is standing, Tiashe can see that the man is carrying a large backpack which looks as if it is about to pop open. After seeing him wave, Tiashe decides that it must be his teacher that he had been seeking out for some time now, and guesses that the backpack must contain training material.
Inside, Tiashe is quite happy that he is to start training in Ninjutsu, except he does not show it, as per his personality. He then listens respectfully to his Sensei as he apologizes and then introduces himself. Tiashe then made an effort to speak, as he is not used to interacting with others.
Thats alright, Sensei. It gave me enough time to mentally prepare for the training at least. I am now fully ready!

Somewhere along the way, I picked up Burupya, this little guy sitting on my shoulder. Then I came to Konoha and started training, in the hopes of becoming stronger to fulfill a goal of mine. Anyways, that's enough about me. Lets get started then, shall we?

While setting up the equipment, Souji listened to Tiashe's story. He slowed down as he focused his full attention to the various journeys and things his student had been through.

He smiled softly.
"That's quite a story, Tiashe. Mine's not nearly as... exciting, but I appreciate you sharing that with me. I can hope that your new shinobi life and training will hone your skills and help you achieve those goals. That's what I'm here for."
Souji clapped his hands together, with some enthusiasm.
"Alright! Now that that's done with, let me ask you a few basic questions... things you should have learned in the Ninja Academy. I want you to relate three concepts together while telling me what you know about each: shinobi/ninjas, chakra, and ninjutsu."

Tiashe was surprised that he had managed to get all those words out, then realized that after joining his village, he had become more able to talk. He saw that his Sensei had set up all the training equipment whilst he was talking, but was still paying careful attention to him.
There was then a few moments of silence, and Tiashe could see that Souji was probably absorbing all the information in. He himself also had difficulty coping with the truth of his past at first when he had just remembered a few months ago.
Tiashe felt reassured and calm after his Sensei's kind words. He was then asked to answer some questions, and these made him think deeply. He searched through back to the times when he was in the Academy, and tried very hard to remember what his teacher had taught him there. He started off explaining, hoping he did it right.
What I know about Shinobi is that they are people who endure. They usually belong to a village, which they serve loyally and perform missions for whilst being paid. In times of war, Shinobi protect their villages as they are highly trained fighters. One method of combat that Shinobi use is Ninjutsu, along with Taijutsu and Genjutsu. Ninjutsu causes real damage unlike Genjutsu, and it also requires Chakra unlike Taijutsu. Ninjutsu means the usage of Ninja techniques, which are performed by manipulating Chakra.
Every single person has Chakra within them, it's just that some people do not use it. Chakra is the moulding and combination of physical energy which is in every cell of the body, and spiritual energy from the mind. Also, people all have different levels of Chakra. Some people may have massive amounts, and others less. Chakra resides in the body in the Circulatory system. It flows all around the body, just like blood. There are 361 pores in the system from which Chakra can be released from.
Chakra originally came from the Shinju, until Kaguya ate from the tree. Her two sons were born with Chakra, and The Sage of Six Paths spread it around to people, hoping they would understand one another better by it. However, the people ended up using it for Ninjutsu.

Souji's smile turned into a big grin.
"Absolutely perfect. You have every concept down, and I have nothing to add."
"What we'll be doing is focusing on basic, non-elemental ninjutsu that serves as a basis for further studies. Therefore, it focuses on weapons, normal, molded chakra, and whatnot."
"Let's not waste any more time and begin with the techniques. I want you to simply try each one of them out, and if you have a question or opinion, don't be afraid to state it. Sometimes, I may ask questions or quiz you myself to test your understanding."

Unpacking the bag, Souji sets up a mat on the ground that's littered with weapons, scrolls, and tools of every kind.
"For our first technique, identify the senbons and place them in your mouth. Be careful that you don't swallow them... or you'll obviously die. Channel your non-elemental chakra through those needles, and you can shoot them out of your mouth to poke and pierce your targets. Note how they can only reach up to short range."
"I've set up some balloons over there, go and pop them!"
"After that, find a pair of giant windmill shurikens in this pile. Throw the first one and it should cast a shadow on the ground. Underneath that first one, throw the second one for a sneak attack that your target won't see coming!"

Thank you Souji Sensei. I still have much to learn though, though I am sure you will do a wonderful job at teaching me.
Tiashe blushed with pleasure at his Sensei's praise, then listened carefully to what was being said. He was filled with excitement as he saw Souji setting up all the training equipment. They all looked pretty interesting to him and he could not wait to try them out. He was one step closer to his goal. Even though Tiashe did not usually like to ask questions, his teacher had just asked him to, so he decided that he would. He was also interested in what quizzes and tests he would receive.
I will always be sure to ask you for any clarification, and yes I am ready.
Tiashe watched as Souji set up some balloons. He felt like a child again, seeing those balloons, but he knew they were for training. He then walked over to the mat that had all the equipment on it and looked for the Senbons. He knew that they were metal and had pointy ends. He soon found them, and taking a few Senbons, he went over in front of the balloons, standing about 2 meters away from them. Putting one of the Senbons in his mouth, Tiashe gathered some Chakra within him but he did not mould it, like he would for elemental training. He instead just sent this Chakra to his mouth, where it went into the needle. He then used this Chakra to shoot the Senbon out of his mouth, but to his surprise, the Senbon landed a meter away from the balloon he was aiming at.
He tried again, with another needle, this time it popped one of the balloons, but not the balloon he had aimed at. In the next few tries, he improved with each one and was able to accurately aim the Senbon at the balloons. He stopped when he saw all the balloons were popped. Like a little kid, he was having so much fun popping them, and Burupya was just curiously looking at them and murmuring at them, as if they were alive.
After he was done with the Senbons, Tiashe collected them and carefully put them back where he had found them. He then searched on the mat for a pair of giant windmill Shurikens to find. He spotted them pretty easily as they were big, and they were also metal, with blades coming out from them.
Taking the two giant windmill Shurikens, Tiashe went a distance away from the mat and held one of the Shuriken in his right hand. It was a bit heavy, but he could manage. Taking a step forward with his left leg, Tiashe swung his right arm up, and brought it down again to throw the Shuriken in front of him. Whilst it was in the air, it made a shadow, which Tiashe could see. He then took the other Shuriken, and threw it lower than the first one, so that it went into the shadow of the first. They eventually both fell, but had there been a person standing there, they would have most likely dodged the first one, but they would not have been able to see the second and so they would have been hit.

Souji silently observed Tiashe as he performed the techniques. His form was good... he was trained well and had a good sense of his body movements and other senses. Of course, he wasn't perfect (no shinobi is), but his efforts were highly appreciated. It was almost nostalgic, really... for a moment, Souji remembered his own sensei drilling him, those years ago.
With Tiashe finished, Souji unraveled a scroll, summoning a contract animal (it can be whatever animal you think it is Lol)
"For this one, channel your chakra through the ground, targeting this animal. Visualize the chakra as a binding or wrapping, and hold that animal in place, preventing it from moving or attacking. Most smaller animals can be restrained, but larger ones won't feel the effect."
"Also, note that you must keep your focus. If you get attacked or distracted, the binding will fall apart."

It can, however, be broken by outside means or brute force, making it less effective against bigger summons like boss summons or similar.
Note: lasts only as long as the user is focusing on the target to sustain it.

Walking back to his position, Tiashe watched as Souji unravelled a scroll, summoning an animal. He was curious to see what came out, and it was a... Rabbit. It was small, white with a bit of black on it and it was fluffy. But what caught Tiashe's attention the most was its tail. It was round and small, which amused Tiashe very much so, and he was almost tempted to laugh when the rabbit made a hop and the tail bobbed up. It then looked as if it wanted to hop away, but before it did, Tiashe followed his Sensei's instructions to bind the animal.
With the rabbit around five meters away from where Tiashe stood, Tiashe closed his eyes to concentrate as he was not used to this and he put his hands together, with his two index fingers pointing upwards and the rest of his fingers intertwined with each other. He also put his feet shoulder width apart and concentrated his Chakra into his feet, before letting it out into the ground beneath him.
Tiashe channeled this Chakra along the ground until it reached where the rabbit was standing, and it reached the rabbit pretty quickly due to the short distance between them. Tiashe then visualized the Chakra to move upwards, and around the rabbit. As it moved, he willed the Chakra to envelope the rabbit tightly, not tight enough for the rabbit to be hurt, but just firmly and snug. At least, he thought, the rabbit might feel like it was getting a hug. The rabbit now was not able to hop away, but it looked calm and content, for the time being.
Well, since it was bound and could not run away, Tiashe walked over to it and stroked it till it fell asleep, since he was quite fond of animals.

Description: Killing Intent pertains to the ability of the user giving off their pure killing intention and having it affect their opponent and others around them up to the point of paralyzing them. When the Killing Intent is particularly strong, it can even give the victim visions of their own gruesome death, nausea, pain, etc. This can cause the Killing Intent to be confused with a genjutsu, despite not being a genjutsu at all; simply a showcase of intention and power. The target will feel as if facing an overwhelming enemy and, even if not a sensor, will suddenly feel the pressure of the users chakra and its magnitude, making the effect that much more dramatic. Upon his Sensei's allowance, Tiashe released the little rabbit and it just bounced away, looking back a little at Tiashe. He then watched in astonishment as his teacher walked behind a tree and pulled a guy out. He looked pretty roughed up and was struggling, but was tied with ropes at his hands and his feet. Tiashe then felt a flash of fear, as he remembered very vividly seeing a similar scenario when he had to kill prisoners before in his slavery days. He very quickly snapped out of it as he heard his Sensei talking again. He also wondered when Souji had brought the bandit. Probably before he came to the training grounds.
Tiashe was then asked by Souji to project a killing intent towards the bandit. Of course, it would not physically harm the man, but he was a little hesitant to do it.
Alright, I'll try and see if I can manage this one Sensei. It might just be a little difficult, but I'll try it anyways.

Having these thoughts in mind, Tiashe focused closely on the man and tried putting hate in his heart for the bandit, so he could release killing intent. However, after a few seconds of this, Tiashe realized that it was not working. He realized that his killing intent was considerably lacking.
To make up for this, Tiashe focused again on the man, but this time, he replayed memories in his mind of his kingdom and family being destroyed. This automatically brought intense anger into Tiashe, and without realizing it, the next thing that Tiashe knew was that the bandit had fallen onto the ground and was shivering in fear. Tiashe immediately calmed down then, feeling slightly ashamed to do that to someone much older than him. He then realized in fear, that hidden inside him, there was actually a huge hatred and killing intent. He knew that he would need to control this in the future, as it had even gotten the better of him this time.
Tiashe then noticed that the effects of this technique was wearing off, since he was not focusing on the person anymore. He even felt a little drained after using it, realizing that in a battle, it would not do him any good to use it more than once, or else he would be very much fatigued.

"As a Sannin-ranked shinobi, you'll be able to severely affect any opponent two ranks lower than you; any Jounin and lower will experience its full effects. However, an S-class ninja or higher will not. The same works defensively; you will only be truly affected by Sage-ranked shinobi and above; anyone lower than that will only be able to project smaller effects. One can argue that this is due to the differences in experience and whatnot, but remember, higher-ranked opponents do not always translate to better ones."

Gathering a small amount of chakra, Tiashe releases it out in front of him, about five metres away. He then envisions an image of Sakura petals, and right before him then appears a swarm of those petals. He watches as they swirl around in the air and thinks they look rather pretty. He realizes that if anyone was in there though, they would be restricted in their vision, as there would be petals in front of them wherever they looked. And he also thinks that perhaps the target might be so mesmerized at the sight of the petals that they might forget the fight, but he realizes that this is just a funny fantasy thought.
Can a wind Jutsu blow away the petals in this technique Souji Sensei?
Next, Tiashe grabs a few Kunai that have pouches attached to them. Holding them in his right arm, in very quick succession Tiashe releases hurls them onto a tree around eight metres away from him. Since paper is light, they do not fall to the ground straight away. As they begin to descend, Tiashe throws one more Kunai, but this time one with an active explosive tag on it. It stabs the tree, and starts burning. The papers next to it catch on fire too, and they then explode, causing bright sparks and some smoke. It makes a loud bang, but the view is spectacular to Tiashe.
Tiashe thinks that both of these techniques are very pretty and decides that he would use them to distract or trick an opponent.

After those two techniques, Tiashe watches as his Sensei creates a clone of himself for Tiashe to practice the next two techniques on. Tiashe listens carefully to his teacher, nodding slightly to show he is paying attention, and takes note of the combinations his Sensei has suggested to him.
Sighting the clone who has a kunai and looks ready for any sign of attack, Tiashe forms the ram hand seal and gathers chakra in his mouth. He then speaks aloud. Hey, you there, in a low but authoritative tone. This voice he projects behind the tree that his Sensei's clone is standing in front of. He watches on as the clone immediately turns around to face the tree, then starting to inspect it. Tiashe is quite amused by this, as firstly he did not think that he could ever project his voice. He had read about people doing it in novels, but it never occurred to him that he had the ability to also do it. Also, he finds it funny that the clone is searching for something that is not even there!
Taking advantage of the clones distraction, Tiashe molds some more chakra, this time all throughout his body. This creates a surge of energy within him, giving him a loose and fluid feeling in his joints and limbs. He feels very flexible now, and can also feel the urge of his body to move at a very high speed. It is like there is a lot adrenaline rushing through his body, urging him on. His mind has also become much clearer, letting him concentrate easily. Using this immense feeling of athleticism, Tiashe whilst looking at the I noticing clone, moves at a very high speed towards it without making a sound at his feet. He is surprised that he can do this, and realizes it is possible because his feet feel very light on the ground. It is like he is gliding across in one very fluent movement. Sooner than he started, Tiashe realizes he is right behind the clone. Feeling exhilarated with this burst of energy, Tiashe quickly turns his body around in front of the clone, and with his legs shoulder width apart and knees bent, Tiashe elbows the clone in the stomach hard with his left elbow.
He feels a sense of satisfaction at the fact that he can sneak up on an enemy, even if it a very basic technique. For he knows that even with this basic level, he can make it bigger. By using the hidden mist Jutsu, he knows he can move fluidly up to the target, then when he is close enough, he can project his voice somewhere else, allowing him to attack the target from a very close range. Preferably from behind the target, but he knows that since he cannot see anything whilst in the mist either, he would need to memorise the location of his opponent before hand.

"What do you think channeling chakra through the rope does?" he asked.

Tiashe spoke humbly.Yessir. In a real battle, I would probably use a Kunai, I just didn't want to cause unnecessary wounding to the clone is all.
Tiashe then walked over to the weapon filled table as requested, and looked for the makibishis. Small and spiky metal objects. He soon found them, and observed that they had four spikes protruding from them, as well as being small, spiky and metallic. He grabbed a handful; around ten to twelve of them and walked a little away from the table. Then, throwing a smoke bomb which covered a few metres radius around him, Tiashe set to work. He quickly scattered the makibishis around the area, so that if someone walked on them, they would most likely injure their feet. Whilst he was doing this, he also went through in his mind some possibilities of when he would use this technique. Lets see, I guess I'd use it when I am in close range of the opponent, as it would be easier to distract them. Or, I could also use it against someone when they are chasing me, so that would make them slow down. Then, I could conceal myself and flee.
After this performance, Souji handed Tiashe a black rope long in size. To answer the question, Tiashe stated, Well, I suppose channeling the chakra in the rope would allow me to control the strength of the binding, not allowing the target to escape. And I could use it to move the rope around a little when I throw it.
With that, Tiashe held the rope firmly, and channeled his chakra through it from his hands, as he did so, Tiashe threw the rope in front of him, and it got hold of a low branch almost bare without leaves from a large tree in front of him. He then used his chakra to make it tight and firm, so that it would be quite difficult for the rope to unbind.
Tiashe also thought about how he would use this technique. So, when I am in very close proximity to a target, I will bind them. That way, they will not have time to react to the rope, and since it is low ranking they will be able to counter it easily if they see it. So I would use a stealth technique to come up behind them and bind them with it. But it will not cause them harm. However, once they are bound, then I will attack them with a Jutsu, making sure I do not get caught in it though. After thoroughly thinking this through in his head, Tiashe released the hold of the rope on the branch and held it again, before returning it to Souji.
