As he was about to perform the punch, Akaharu released a bolt of lightning onto Tiashe, paralysing him. He was then pushed back as Akaharu slammed his left palm into him. A bit shocked, Tiashe shook his limbs when the paralysis wore off.

After absorbing all the information in about releasing a genjutsu through pain, Tiashe nodded.

Yes, I understand it. Although I would rather not use pain as my release method...

"Sometimes it's the best and only way. A little pain always gets your blood pumping."

Akaharu quickly continues on to the next Genjutsu, coming to a swift close to this batch, they would eventually move on to the powerful stuff.

"This Next Genjutsu simply puts the opponent into a genjutsu where the Snakes appear to form beneath the opponent and slowly move up their body constricting more and more of their movement as they go up. They will crush your opponent or so they think and cause stress on the mind. Why would this Genjutsu be flawed?"

Description: The user puts the opponent into a genjutsu which has snakes appear beneath the opponent to constrict them and with the users command, they crush the opponent. In reality, the opponent is immobilized and takes damage due to the stress on his mind.

"The next Genjutsu is pretty simple, it conjures up purple flowers from the ground in front of them and proceed to cause damage which will paralyse the opponent, not for very long though. Nothing special about this jutsu so lets move on."

Description: The user summons up illusionary purple flowers from the ground in front of them, damaging enemies with a chance to paralyze them.
Note: Paralysis lasts one turn.

"This next Genjutsu can be cast on multiple targets which will make them see several explosions go off near and around them. Please perform this on me and my friends." Some of Akaharu's friends seem to appear from his back, morphing into the shape of a female and male. "The Ground will then begin to collapse under your targets causing them to panic and stress, however if one person releases this genjutsu all are released through the use of Kai as long as they are in short range. Effective to stop a group but not so much for long."

Description: This is a technique that can be cast on multiple targets. The user creates an illusion where their target(s) experience several explosions going off near and around them. The ground around and beneath the target(s) will begin to collapse and cause panic and mental damage from the perceived reality of the explosions. The technique, however, is weak when cast upon multiple targets as it only takes one individual to release the technique for large groups of people.
Note: This technique can be cast on multiple targets but when done it only takes one person to release the technique for all parties involved with genjutsu kai. However all members need to be within short range distance.

Well, the only reason that I can think of is because snakes don't just pop out of the ground, and so the victim will know it's a genjutsu and release it.

Listening to the next technique but not worrying about it too much as his teacher indicated, he went on to perform the technique he was told to.

Gathering chakra, Tiashe created an illusion for Akaharu and his friends where several explosions went off around them. He then created the illusion that the ground then began to collapse for them. This would cause mental trauma to them if not defended against, but only one of them had to break out of it for the rest of them to become freed.

"Yeah basically, you will be able to notice the distortions in the ground as they just sudden come from it with no cracks or holes. Also you could try to attack them but it wouldn't be effective as they're illusions and your blade would just go through or something."

Akaharu saw the Genjutsu come into effect and grinned at his student's success, the Genjutsu done nicely as explosions set off around him randomly with no chakra coming from them or explosive tags being used their was... no source to the explosions as so his sensory ability told him. He took out a Kunai and lightly jabbed his palm with it, causing him to be cut.

"Ow, but it has to be done sometimes you know? Hehe, so we're coming to an end soon to our Genjutsu training - onto the last few - so how do you find this ability Tiashe?"

I see, I didn't think about the distortions in the ground part...

Tiashe watched as Akaharu cut his palm with a kunai; it seemed that he preferred the pain to get out of the genjutsu.

His ears pricked up as he heard this. It wasn't exactly one of his favourites,so he wanted to finish it quickly and go eat some ramen. He was getting hungry now...

How I find it... Well you know, back when I only knew 1 technique, I fought against a scary guy called Manhunter, and well, it seemed like I was going win at the last moment, but I guess I guess I daydreamed too much and lost. I'm surprised I'm still alive now. So uh, genjutsu is not what I would preferably use in a fight, but in a gen only battle, it would be essential to know this art. It is interesting still how you can manipulate an opponent's mind. However, they can easily break out of it when they realise they are in an illusion, so I guess it would need someone who is good at layering to really be able to utilize this field at its fullest.

"Yeah, all arts require skill - Genjutsu is very hindering and can be combined very well with other Ninjutsu to bring upon a downfall. I hope you've become stronger from this knowledge today."

Akaharu bowed his head to his student, but it was not over yet - Akaharu performs a hand seal and summons a clone. The clone then walks over to the distance.

"Since these Genjutsu are a little more dangerous, I'm gonna make you do it on a clone instead of me. This next Genjutsu is pretty interesting, i want you to perform a hand seal and put the Clone into a Genjutsu where it will believe that it's sinking. You will also throw a large number of explosive tags that to the opponent look like butterflies heading towards him. You will then place on final tag on the enemy's head and detonate all of them."

Description: The user makes one handseal, placing the opponent in a genjutsu. The user then tosses a large number of explosive tags at the opponent. To the opponent, it looks as if they are countless butterflies. The opponent then believes they are sinking into the ground, in reality making them immobilised; this allows the user to place one final exploding tag on their forehead before detonating all the tags simultaneously.

Tiashe listened to Akaharu with his mouth slightly open and eyes wide and round. As he bowed slightly to Tiashe, he couldn't help thinking the guy was pretty cool, especially with what he said about the art. Almost forgetting to bow back, Tiashe did so before putting is head back up again. He felt more inclined to use Genjutsu now.

Looking at the clone that his teacher had produced for him, Tiashe performed one hand seal, casting an illusion upon the clone. "Heh heh, Good work Tiashe. Okay onto the next one eh?" Akaharu performed a hand seal and created two more Clones, however only one of them stepped forward. The Clone was the one that would address the student instead, Akaharu's clone readied himself for the fall by sitting down with it's legs crossed.

"This Genjutsu causes the opponent to see feathers after you perform a hand seal, they will appear to fall from the sky. Genjutsu has many usages and this will put your target asleep after a turn. Tricking the mind into a tired slumber. Try it."

( Nehan Shōja no Jutsu ) - Temple of Nirvana Technique

Gathering chakra and performing a single hand seal, Tiashe then released it, putting only the clone sitting closest to him (limiting to short range) in an illusion. The clone would see feathers start falling from the sky, which would make it sleepy and eventually have the clone fall asleep.

The Clone sitting down falls to the side, asleep as sound as a baby.

"Nice Job Tiashe, onto the Final Genjutsu and then we're done. A Very commonly used Genjutsu known as Bringer of Darkness."

( Kokuangyo no Jutsu ) - Bringer-of-Darkness Technique

Description: The user makes one handseal, causing the opponent to believe they have been trapped in a world of infinite darkness, where their sense of sight is useless. It is capable of affecting multiple targets within range. However, it does not negate their other senses.

"You simply make one hand seal and catch the opponent in a Genjutsu that makes them believe that they have been trapped in a world of infinite darkness. You basically make their sense of sight useless. Perform this on my other clone and then tell me what you think the weaknesses of this technique are?"

Tiashe looked in surprise at the clone who had fallen asleep. So, he could make people fall asleep now. Seemed like a funny thought to him.

Last one? Yay!

Tiashe couldn't help being excited to complete this field, allowing himself to look a little childish as he did so. Nodding his head after listening to Akaharu's explanation for the technique, Tiashe performed one hand seal, putting his teacher's other clone into an illusion where it's whole word became dark all of a sudden.

Yes, there are a couple of weaknesses I can think of for this. Firstly, the victim still has their other senses intact, so they can conclude they are in a genjutsu as they know they did not become blind all of a sudden. And secondly, for their whole world to turn dark all of a sudden would also be too strange.

"You're Dead Right Tiashe!" Akaharu's clones disperse from the battlefield, it was just the Teacher that remained who grinned and walked over to his Student, "You've completed Genjutsu! Now tell me, just a couple of things you've learned about this ability that will be useful to you from now on?"

Akaharu's hands rested in the opposite sleeve, giving the illusion he was crossing them.

Tiashe smiled as Akaharu grinned and walked over to him. He was really excited at the fact that he had completed a field.

Well, one thing I've learnt is that I can place someone in an illusion to keep them still before attacking them with something else. Another thing is that if someone puts me in a genjutsu, I now have the capability to be able to deduce it and break free from it. You have taught me to see if the appropriate senses are affected by the objects in the genjutsu, and if they are not, then it is most likely an illusion. So for that, I thank you heaps!

Tiashe dipped his head respectfully to Akaharu to show he was grateful.
