As the title says, and I'll let YongYea do the explanation in this video. My personal thoughts: I hope the rumor is true. Wished something similar happened for MGS to be taken from KONAMI, but I guess I better put the past behind, cause MGS no more.

BT1 was a let down because of -- microtransaction?

I gotta say that I've never been a fan of Star Wars franchise. All of it. I like Darth Vader, but the franchise doesn't interest me at all. Also, I despise KONAMI, EA, Activision, Ubisoft, 2K, etc...
Not just micro's for me but overall. It just for whatever reason didn't really feel like a star wars game despite the skins. The best part for me was the TIE fighter modes. I also don't like solely multiplayer games.

Idk I've liked Konami and all those companies but they're shifting to too much of a modern market style, they can still make good games but they've lost that drive in exchange for rinse and repeat yearly releases. Each company is finding their "core" game/s and focusing all effort on them rather than developing. Star Wars has been so -so for me as a franchise, I don't dislike it but I'm not particularly drawn to it either.

If I was in charge I would do a single player game with lightsabers.
Maybe we're the minority but YESSSSSS. Did anyone play neverdead? Not a great game, not as bad as reviews so far, but their sword combat was fun.

With the microtransaction around, there would be no difference between a console/PC and Las Vegas, so why not go to Las Vegas and see if my luck will get through. Winning more, waste champagne, fancy suits, get laid, etc.

The micro transaction fiasco was just the tip of the iceberg. I played it. It looks beautiful. The idea of the story being told from the Storm Troopers perspective was an interesting choice but was executed absolutely the worst way.

Spoiler Alert
for instance when the Death Star is destroyed while your female protagonist and her unit on on the surface what should have been a traumatic experienced is glossed over and the reaction were completely unrealistic. I mean seriously the Death Star just exploded and you lost the war. Instead of righteous payback let continue our original objective? Seriously?

You finally get to play as the legendary Luke Skywalker and what do they have you do? Killing bugs with your lightsaber? Really?

Did you ever play Knights of the Old Republic I and II? THAT is how you make a Star Wars game. Riveting story, engaging characters, plot twists that will make your head spin, great music. It way dated now but haven’t really played another Star Wars game with that level of epic ness. The Force Unleashed was real fun. Part two? Not so much.

Both were single player experiences but both were lacking space battles. So that was a drawback.

But I can understand where you are coming from though.
