Arriving in front of a building which was now just ruins, Ryuu peered through with his Byakugan. It was very large; about the size of a stadium. Ryuu remembered this building. It used to be the place where the members of the Freehold used to work. They had all their offices and stuff in here. He knew this because sometimes his parents used to go there when he was a child, and he would come along with them. At the time, this building was not just huge, it had also been very tall. It would be fair to say that it had probably been the tallest building in the city back then. Since he used to come in here, the boy knew the approximate areas the building used to have. He used to come here and read lots of books, so it was no surprise. Luckily, he also happened to know which area the information regarding Shinobi were kept. Using his Byakugan, the Hyūga looked towards the general location where he thought they would be. Sure enough, he soon found a few rooms besides each other, containing books, papers and the like. However, they were collapsed rooms, with rubble all over them. He would have to get in via unconventional means... He did manage to spot a little clearing inside the rooms though, so he focused on that.
Looking around to make sure no one was watching him, and especially that the bandits had not come after him yet, Ryuu got closer to the building, before performing a hand seal. With this, a wide tunnel was created from in front of him, extending into the building, upto a certain location where he had desired. Quickly getting in, the boy hoped no one would notice the tunnel whilst he was doing what he needed to do. The tunnel was quite roomy, and so it did not take the boy long to arrive at his destination. Clambering out of the hole, Ryuu found himself in a large, dark room, filled with books on shelves. Except the shelves were not standing; they were on their sides, and some of the books were strewn out. Although there were some books that looked completely intact, others, that had been more exposed to the elements, were barely discernible. There was not much room to move around in this place, and so Ryuu had to crawl around the place. Good thing he was not a full grown man, for then this would have been much harder. He also noticed that the place smelt very damp. In this dim lighting, it was not exactly the nicest place to be. But he needed answers.

Grabbing the closest book to him, Ryuu flicked through the pages. Just as he thought, these were logs of Shinobi. Running through a few books at first, Ryuu noticed that they were ordered by clans. Curious, he eventually found the one for the Hyūga clan. However, just as he suspected, he did not find himself in it. He had been too young to be considered a Shinobi at the time this village still prospered. However, he did find the information on his fellow clan members, becoming a little sad as he remembered them. He quickly closed that book before he could grive too much. After a while, the boy noticed that the books in this room all contained information about recent Shinobi. He knew the person he was trying to find information on was not from recent times, given that he did not know him.
So the boy went to the next room, where he found that there was information on Shinobi which were from older times. Each subsequent room he crawled painfully into had older and older records. But how was he to know which one Cassander was in? Although this was going to be time-consuming, the boy eventually decided to use his Byakugan to peer through books without going to them, looking for keywords. Using different tactics, and almost giving up, after what seemed like several hours, Ryuu's tired eyes finally rested upon the word 'Cassander'. The weary Hyūga made his way over to the next room, which was where the book was. Although the boy loved reading, looking through so many words at once was too draining, even for him. Finally, Ryuu took the book out of the shelf. Opening it, he noticed that this book was not categorised clan-wise. Not all of them had been anyways. Rather, the first Shinobi listed was Alexandros Megas. It appeared that all the remaining Shinobi in this book then were related to him in regards to ranks. Ryuu had some knowledge on this man. Long ago, he was known for his many conquests, and he was generally seen in a positive light. Naturally, he had many soldiers, generals, and people under his command.
So when Ryuu flipped over to the next page, and found Cassander's name, he realised this man must be pretty strong. He was ranked as one of Alexandros' strongest and highest ranking generals. To think that such a man was out causing chaos right now... But Ryuu was rather confused. Why was this Cassander creating trouble? And why was he even alive right now? And numerous copies of him too? Probably clones... After a while of thinking, Ryuu realised that he must have been ressurected by someone. He had previously read about this strange power where the dead could be given life again. The question now was who had done it. This was even more of a reason for him to go and meet the dead ninja now. It seemed that the more information he learnt, the more questions he had. Was that a good thing? Perhaps...
Gazing over the papers containing Cassander's information, Ryuu noticed a section titled 'Abilities'. However, this was one of the books that was half demolished, and so not everything was visible. Furthermore, some of the ink was so bleached that it was quite difficult to make out what was written. After much squinting and deciphering, Ryuu eventually found out one of the reasons why this man had such a high rank. It appeared that the more opponents he had faced in battles during conquests, the stronger he became. This was rather strange, as people usually became less effective at fighting numerous opponents. If he could not take anything else away from his encounter with the older Shinobi later, he wanted to at least find out how the man became stronger when fighting against many. Moving on, the boy next made out two words next to each other, each starting with 'Y'. That was the letter that was the most visible as it was a little larger. After thinking about the many abilities that could start with that letter, he eventually settled on Ying-Yang. Although he could not read the exact words, this was confirmed through the number of letters that were in the words. Well, this was interesting. Someone who could use such high level abilities. He was not surprised anymore though. But he was surprised that he was still alive right now. If Cassander had wanted, he could have blown up half the world now, with all the abilities he had. Finally, Ryuu also managed to find out that the Shinobi had very strong Ninjutsu and Taijutsu skills.
However, the information cut off here, for after this, the words were completely illegible. The dim lighting did not help either. But even when he pointed the book upwards to try to get some sunlight, it was the same result. But Ryuu was satisfied; he had the information he needed. Now he knew that this was not a Shinobi of current times, but rather of old, and that he was most likely resurrected by someone. He just had to find the man and confront him, asking him who was behind all this... Putting the book back where he found it, the boy paused, before rethinking the decision. He took the book back and placed it in his little bag. Perhaps it could come of use later. Maybe it could even be more decipherable later.
After much crawling and squeezing through tight places, Ryuu finally reached the entrance to the tunnel. He found it rather ironic how the tunnel was wider than the rooms. Finally, he reached the outside fresh air, and looking around, he realised that no one had noticed. Good. To cover up the evidence of the tunnel then. Ryuu hastily got some dirt and rocks, covering it up. He didn't want someone unworthy of the books handling them. Now that he knew there was knowledge here, he would want to come back and read later.
Reading a nearby post which had the locations of Cassander on it, Ryuu took note of the areas they were in, opting to go and meet the one up north. And so the boy started his journey to go and meet a relic of the past...
