its a translation thing, some places that you read the translation uses ruffy, i have also seen yuffy as well, dont know why but it happens

its the accent, the japanese cannot say "l", its sounds like "r"

It's just how people pronounce it/say it. It isn't a big deal. U_U

They just may be on some ruffy's when they talking about it and too wasted to know "R" from "L"

It's just a matter of articulation. The "R" and "L" in Japanese sound nearly the same. It's certainly Luffy, but if you listen, especially if you listen to Garp, it really looks like he's saying Ruffy, but that's the articulation.

It's the same with Zoro. It's certainly Zoro, however if you listen it's almost like they say Zolo.

It's probably because they don't pronounce the "R" deep enough in their throats :lili:

But Light Yagami, could have been, Right Yagami xd and Kira could have been Kila(like in Killer).

God Enel is God Eneru, That is why almost all important charachters get an introduction box with a romanized name I guess

I saw a few translations where Light's names was Raito. But it only fights with the whole pronunciation thing.
