I think I speak for most RPers when I say a few of these points that need to be integrated into the rp system.

-Bring back the Kumi system. I think everyone loved that system. One day you had 1000 kumi and wake up someone had stolen all of it from a battle. Also make bio things buyable with Kumi such as swords, kunai, etc...

-Stop letting 1 person dictate certain areas. In areas like medical school 1 person choosing who gets in and gets trained is unfair as there are many RPers and 1 person calling the shots creates problems such as one we just had.

-New mods. It is taking entirely too long for customs to get checked or bios to be checked. Some taking as long as 5 months to get checked. If the mod who was assigned to that section isn't doing his job EFFECTIVELY then he should be terminated. I think most people would prefer mod Cycles switch out every 6 months or so.

-Mod impeachment. Believe it or not one reason that the RP is dying slowly is in fact because of certain mods. I think that there should be trials for a mod that the people think is doing a bad job with a jury of 6 people.

Thats all I can think about but they are all valid points I wanna hear what you guys have to say.

100% agreed, kumi sounds interesting for the newer gen who hasn't seen it yet.

Somewhat agree, i think there should be a medical staff, like maybe the new nurses can pitch in some ideas, kind of like how clans can elect who gets in or not. idk.

uh idk, sometimes ryuijin checks them quickly but sometimes its slow, but they all have their own life.

@bold, that is most likely for personal opinions, some people think certain mods do a terrible job while others think theyre doing just fine.

-Mod impeachment. Believe it or not one reason that the RP is dying slowly is in fact because of certain mods. I think that there should be trials for a mod that the people think is doing a bad job with a jury of 6 people.
i dont think its a good idea, if you dont like a mod because they infract you or something its not that hard to get a group of friends to impeach a mod. :|

1. Kumi System is not coming back.

2. Not gonna happen.

3. I heard Caliburn checks Custom Clan and Special Character Bio's, and Sensei/Moderator Bio's. Reborn checks Custom Bio's.

4. LMAO. Really?

Not really valid points just some frustration if you ask me.

They say their is a Revamp coming and the holidays, everything is slow.

Not entirely sure, but please exercise some patience until the RP revamp is completed. A currency system, as it was in the past, I believe has been mutually agreed upon as something that was far too messy and also, essentially useless.. from the perspective of several staff members and members. Basically, everyone is aware that certain things could use changes/improvements and that is exactly why an extensive and intensive revamp has been under way in the RP sections. Instead of criticizing a system, acknowledged as something that needing help and about to go through huge changes, it'd be best to wait for what the revamp affords. Then, you may observe it, in its entirety, and give constructive criticism.

Ok, so loads up people have been in an uproar over all kinds things, such as the medical system, in particular. Let me make this next bit entirely clear.. when Nexus went inactive, it was not at a time most suitable for the site, itself. That being said, Vincent went out of his way to resuscitate the system and even cut down the lengthly process required to complete the full medical course-load. Though I do, by my own admission, tend to peruse a plethora of profiles.. I could tell just by the applications and the subsequent VMs being sent to Vincent that it was in all honestly, the best course of action he could take. From my humble perspective, the problem isn't the one person keeping the entire system afloat, it's the countless numbers of people who feel that they inherently have a right to be a part of the system and worse, attempt to dictate to the people who actually invest a great deal of time and effort into it. Yes, people were spamming the application thread with ill-placed criticism and many of those who claimed that it was unfair to everyone else, whom were not a part of the immediate issue, went to complain on Vincent's profile. Of course, all members may express their concerns, but what was seen was largely disrespectful and accusatory in the overall approach. Still, even with the attitude of many people interested in becoming a medical shinobi, Vincent did not outright desist with the medical system. Far from it, in fact.

To those who are curious about the new process, please realize very little has changed, in terms of selection. So, to elaborate: activity, contribution, interest, time, and most importantly good behavior. The last bit is especially important and is applicable on different grounds. (1) Excessive history of infractions, particularly from actions in the RP section should be avoided. Certainly, a warning/infraction every blue moon is within acceptance, however, they are meant to serve as deterrents and chances for members to change. No one should take the sanction system lightly, those with 10 - 30+ active/inactive infractions points need be considerate. When you've accumulated that many, realize that leniency/tolerance is bound to plummet as too many opportunities have been passed up. (2) Actual demeanor, as observed in posts and particularly, VMs and PMs. If anyone maintains a condescending, brash, or rude demeanor, those such qualities are bound to keep you from becoming a medical shinobi. Those who do possess the right qualities have nothing to worry about. Even if they are not picked in the first batch they seek to be a part of, their chances are diminished with each attempt. It's just natural that with the very small number of spots available that some will have to be turned away, once in awhile. If the number of seats is a concern, then everyone, please realize that the medical sensei are often waiting on their students. The goal is to keep all 6 students at the same pace, so that they may progress from level 1 to level 2, and then level 3. Many people, just from what I've seen, have had unannounced periods of absence, which held up the class and thus, when the next selections would be. In conclusion, everyone should be more considerate; of their actions, as well as others'.

Okay, there is obviously room for improvement but especially now, RL has been taking a toll on certain staff members, what with university exams and even theses. A cycle, simply put, is an atrocious idea. A great deal of members would not be able to truly handle their roles. (1) They'd have to deal with constant criticism and insults, which almost none of you (save for the one's who commit it) are aware of. People won't just attack you on things related to NB, they'll even go so far as to take pot-shots at your RL. (2) Going along with #1, realize that we, as moderators, have a great deal more restrictions than normal members. We can't just go around doing as we please. So, things like blatant rudeness, even when deeply provoked is not tolerated. (3) Many people who become moderators invariably go into inactivity upon accepting their positions, so less and less people are accepted, especially in the RP where previous instances are apparent. (4) Most importantly, there is the concern of loyalty. Just who exactly can be trusted, not only with site powers, but site secrets? Moderators aren't just chosen for their skill and time, but also whether or not they can be silent, when need be. Lastly, having preordained cycles means that people may feel it's okay to slack off, even when they have time to contribute to the forums, the temporary role means they'll be gone soon. All in all, what you desire is easier said than done.

-Mod impeachment. Believe it or not one reason that the RP is dying slowly is in fact because of certain mods. I think that there should be trials for a mod that the people think is doing a bad job with a jury of 6 people.
Who exactly would these 6 people be? Going with random people certainly won't work and going with popular members certainly is just as useless. As much as people cry about moderators being biased, please realize that many other members don't just pose that risk, it's blatantly evident. The most glaring reason is that only staff members are privy to what goes on, throughout the site. Just because someone is well liked, doesn't mean they are doing their job the way they should be. Yes, we've had well-liked moderators in the past who were afraid to act on rule violations and the likes, simply because they didn't want other members to make them out to be the "bad-guy". Also, there's bound to be corruption in these "trials", which would need to be both fair and impartial. Many members have personal vendettas against certain moderators, mostly because they failed to accept their own faults. Then, there's the possibility of members having friends that wish to sway their opinion on a given case. It's not really paranoia, it's knowing full well what members are capable of doing. When many members have to be dealt with, all they do is scream that we are biased. As it is, all moderators operate under heavy scrutiny, from more than 6 people. Yes, any behavioral issues, with one or another, are given serious inspections by both the global moderators and the administrators. Also, inactivity is not something any normal member can be entirely accurate in discussing. The only people who truly have any inkling of all the actions made by a moderator are the moderator in question and the administrators. Also, when the time comes, some staff members do desire short breaks. I think I can speak for all of us when I say that bending over backwards 24/7 is a bit excessive. Due to the staff positions being unpaid, you'll never find people that can be there at any given moment to resolve issues. Going back to the bit about purview.. Please understand that with the administrators, they all have access to logs which document practically everything: VMs, PMs, posts, threads, closing and merging posts/threads, trashing posts/threads, and naturally, infractions. There is little that the administrators are not knowledgable about and everyone has the freedom to report a staff member based on behavioral issues. None of the staff enjoys having to deal with poor behavior and rule violations, we'd love it if everyone could just get along and not be so self-absorved or ignorant, as is oft the underlying issue, past and present.

Well, I will only reply to a few things.

The Kumi system as it was will never come back. It was decided by the administration when it was removed. If some sort of "stat" or monetary system will be introduced in the NW RP, thats a completely different scenario. However, do not expect it to happen any time soon. That kind of thing works if you have 30 people rping, not if you have 6 villages + 2 groups, each with 100+ supposed members, all in a text based RP. Its a mess to handle and maintain so don't expect something like that to happen in such a big RP.

As for the new moderators, thats a question which is pointless to bring up in a thread. Only the Administrators can decide on the need or not for new moderators. So, when you have something of that sort to ask or suggest, please PM one of the admins. In this case, as your beef is with the RP, please PM Caliburn. However, there are no customs to be checked for 5 months. The only ones who are lagging are actually my own customs as well as customs from other staff members. 5 months means there would be customs left unchecked since July which isn't the case. Throwing stuff in the air doesn't make it true.

As for the Jury suggestion... LOL But on all seriousness and avoiding the urge to go on a sarcastic mini-rant, all mods are on constant evaluation. Mods are evaluated by the Gmods and by the Admins. We don't gain a seat and have it regardless of what we do. If what we do is enough to be demodded or removed or leads to punishment, thats something only the admins can determine. One thing I must assure you is that there is a gigantic difference in what members consider to be a "demod-worthy attitude" and what the admins consider it to be. Normally, for members to consider us worthy of being removed, only thing we need to do is issue infractions like the admins tell us to do... See a pattern here? Basically, the more we do our jobs of making members follow the rules, more members actually shout "demod him!!!! bias!!!! corrupt!!!". So sorry but such a suggestion isn't feasible or even logical. It comes from frustration and anger and not from an objective point of view. And deep down, you know this to be true.

Regarding the Med School which is the main reason behind this thread and the recurrent insatisfaction seen lately, mainly in Vincent's profile, I must say I'm pretty dissapointed at the attitude of those who decided that an application thread was the good way to make some sort of sad "revolutionary statement" about the medical school and the system. The system was severely simplified and revamped, shortened and cleared. Things members complained were unfair were removed such as the Genjutsu Immunity, the self awareness of your own chakra, etc. More will be done to make the system clearer and more in tune with our current rp level such as the techniques which you learn in medical school will be added to the jutsu list and a thread containing the rules of the medical school and the actual methods you learn there will be posted in the bio rules once i finish it. The medical school will, however, remain hidden. Simple reason: people will simply copy stuff from other peoples training in order to do their own once they get in. We don't teach people there like its done in the training grounds so thats something we can't have. And the system will be maintained as it is, through applications, until the point Vincent decides it should be handled differently. Vincent or anyone else who, at some point in the future may take his place if he steps down for some reason. However, the medical system was created by Nexus who sustained it with Rei and then passed down to Vincent who revamped it and is the head of it. Then he asked me and Rei to teach in there. I had finished the medical training and agreed and Rei liked the idea of returning to a teaching role. Thus in the Level I you have Rei as a teacher, Level II you have me and Level III you have Vincent.

This to say what? Basically that all the people, including the OP of this thread, and all of what they did in the apps and in Vincent's profile...it all only proved that we cannot select people in a carefree manner and that the RP conduct, the behavior, the respect, the rule breaking, etc all of it needs to be taken into account. You actually proved that the method used is the right one. You enforced that selecting people who are nice, behave, respect, etc is the right way to do with such a perk. And you actually ignored the changes done in the last few months. Ok, you don't know most of them. Agreed. But have you asked about them? Have you actually asked "Hey Scorps! Medical School, how does it work? What does one gain with it?" No. You bash, complain and pester...

Also, on a personal note, someone used my example in Vincent's profile, saying that I broke the rules, was banned and lost my post count and everything and was given a second chance and returned and am now a mod and what not. Here is what happened and I would appreciate if this issue is cleared once and for all: I used, in the begining of my RP career, a bot/a script to increase my post count in the forum games. Everyone who was anyone in the RP was doing it and I assumed I could do it too. Went to work. When I returned, Zise had made it a rule that using bots was not allowed in Forum games but since i wasn't at the computer at the time, I had my post count deleted. I was a senpai under SY, was Sannin Rank, almost Kage Rank and was bumped down to 1 post. But here is what everyone seems to forget when they use my story as an example that rule breaking shouldn't be bad or taken into account: I didn't revolt against the system. I respected the punishment I had and worked my way up until I was Sannin again. I didn't bash Zise as he was only doing his job. I didn't go around dissing the system. I didn't go around making threads about it. I didn't insult him. I didn't assume he was bias or corrupt. I broke the rules, got my punishment, worked over it and simply continued to be a good member. Thats not the same as 90% of those who are complaining about med school and the fact that behavior counts to get in. Those 90%? When they spam or insult someone using racist slurs and get an infraction what do they do? They rage. They throw fits. They don't understand the punishment nor what they did wrong. Nor do they care. Thats the difference. So I would appreciate that all those who read this...please don't use my example when you don't actually know it. I made a mistake, a big one, suffered a big punishment, absorbed it, dealt with it, moved on and continued to be a member of the site. No reason to rage like a spoiled brat. Rage at what? I was the one who did the mistake. I was the one who broke the rules and tried to take advantage of the system. No one else. Everyone forgets that breaking the rules has punishments but also affects your image. You may appear a badass to your friends or think that gives you some sort of online reputation of being a badass which seems to, in some twisted way, matter for you (yeah...you're a badass in a online forum about manga and anime...). However, the only thing that happens is that it makes you not worthy of things which come as perks. If those who behave like asses get the same things as those who behave nicely and respectful, then whats the point of following the rules? If members were a bit more mature, they'd understand but sadly, thats not the case.

I will accept any RP suggestion or anything you will have to say to me to better the system as long as its not in a bashfull, sarcastic, annoying, provocative manner or fuled by your personal beef with a staff member or another member. The moment its like that it loses all credibility.

Note: when I mean "you", I mean the RP Community, not the OP.
