I prefer the lightning as well, and the Ground Splitting technique can be used with a little more imagination that you did so remember that whenever you start battling. Defend yourself and analyze the other two. Throwing you the summoned scroll I then jump backwards before releasing an S ranked pressurized stream of water towards you with the intent to kill.

A cool defensive technique that requires hand to ground contact in order to use. It's a pretty simple tech that lets the user summon multiple walls of mud, the formation up to you, in order to form a solid defense.
This allows the user to summon earth to the battlefield which can be manipulated into a design fitting that inscribed on the scroll used to perform this move. It's a very handy tech for earth users in combat, and the creation lasts till the user says so or in their defeat. Remember that this had no effect on the terrain already present on the field, but it does bring earth to the field which is then manipulated to build a new terrain.
With two hand seals this move can be used to change the design of his own Wheel of Fortune terrain active on the battlefield.

(Name)(Doton: Uitenpen) - Earth Style: Wheel Of Fortune Counter: Hmm, I'm not sure if it can be counter, perhaps it's best to go on the offensive and attack the user before he gets the chance to perform the technique, so I'd use a fast and strong lightning technique to attack the user of the technique Adv.~ The topography is based on the user's imagination, and can be changed, and since the user would know the topography well, and would be able to spot the user, he can use this to his advantage Dis.~ This is not really an offensive technique, and takes time to perform due to the number of hand seals required

Basically the user performs two hand seals and slams his hands on the ground, this would allow him to change his initial topography design to whatever he wants, he must be the one who performs the technique though

The rock golem has a fair amount of stamina and brute strength, being able to bite and tear off flesh with its mouth and hands respectively. The golem can also devour earth structures and other enemy attacks, biting and chewing on it.
I like this technique because it can come handy in aerial positions or when you think the golem can devour another technique, within reason of course. In the manga it was seen devouring a white Zetsu so I would say that the things it devours has to be roughly around the same size of the golem created. The beast does move sentient which leads me to believe that it may last until destroyed, but it's probably better if you ask a sensei or mod about that first.

The size and depth of the created swamp depends on the user's skill and the amount of chakra used, but if the user is an expert in this technique, it will always be possible to make a fair-sized swamp which is extremely effective against a great number of enemies or when having to face gigantic creatures.

Wow!" ~I realize, I had been thrown towards the clones, and figured I have to attack the clones with the ones given me in the scroll, lucky I read it, so I begin channeling my earth chakra, as I do that I begin channeling my earth chakra to my mouth, and I form earth, then I expel the formed earth in form of a stone golem, using shape manipulation to create a large and powerful creature, as I do that I cause it to drop on the first clone that is at the edge of short range, crushing it~ "Phweeeew!"

Other than being moved below ground relative to the surrounding surface the terrain is not altered, plant life and people retaining their same positions.

(Doton: Kajūgan no Jutsu): Earth Style: Added Weight Rock Technique

Description: The user will perform the Snake handseal and touch a given target (he needs to use his hands in most cases but can release the technique through his whole body if needed) for a small time frame. Upon doing so, he'll use the earth chakra to increase the weight of the target drastically. The technique can increase the targets weight up to 10 times. One interesting side effect of the technique is that when its used on wood based techniques (such as Zetsu's spore clones or normal wood), the infusion of large amounts of earth chakra into it will actually petrify the target in addition to increasing its weight. A similar effect can be achieved in other earthen materials such as mud. The user can also add weight to a given attack (if feasible) to increase both momentum and impact force, effectively adding damage to it.
Note: The weight change lasts 2 turns or until countered.
After performing 1 hand seal the user will then make contact with a physical object in order to increase its weight thus increase its damage. This can aid the user when performing moves with a physical objects like other earth jutsu for example. This move can be used to decrease the wieght if a target as well as petrify earthen materials and wood based techniques.

Description: Contrary to its counterpart (the Earth Release: Added-Weight Rock Technique), instead of making the target heavier, this technique makes it much lighter, though still using the same principle and mechanics. The user will make direct contact with the given target (through his hands), infusing them with earth chakra and lowering their weight drastically. The technique can lower a targets weight up to 10 times less than it originally had. This allows freer manipulation of the affected objects, which would normally carry considerably more weight and as such, require a greater amount of exertion to move. The technique can be used on the user or other shinobi to increase their speed, but as a consequence of using it this way, it results in the decrease of the physical force of their blows. The same principle applies if used on a physical attack wich will be faster but will carry less momentum and as such, less physical damage. It doesn't change the "strength" of binding techniques (like Sand Release), where the user is manipulating a dynamic element but will decrease the impact damage of techniques that rely on it.
Note: The initial effects last for 2 turns or until countered.
The opposite of the previous jutsu. Instead of increasing one's weight this move will decrease it which can result in faster movements depending on the situation. This too requires physical contact and even though it may increase one's speed, it comes with the price of taking away from its power so be aware.

The way this move is worded it makes me feel like it was designed to be used from above the target for a maximum effect, but nontheless, this tech is an example of earth style's versatility. The jutsu starts out as a earth material that then hardens on the way to the target exploding on contact releasing many shards, debris, etc.
Well I pretty nice technique, and usually comes handy, especially when speed doesn't matter, that is in terms of adding more weight to attacks, the technique would be somewhat slower I presume, but would have devastating momentum as shown when the Tsuchikage used it on the raikage against madara, this technique would be perfect for suitable large scale earth techniques that are difficult to avoid, now that is some massive destructive power

This technique is the complete opposite of the first obviously, this time trading weight and power for speed/mobility, obviously it is the same concept, however, this one is quite useful in evasion and counter, with a lighter weight, the user can jump higher, run faster, and could reduce the damage of incoming techs, all within reason of course, but I'd stay clear of using tai with this technique, because the physical damage is reduced due to the technique.

Not easy to perform, since one needs multiple users present to perform the technique.

~I begin molding my earth chakra, and as I'm done, I begin channelling it to my stomach, and as I'm done, I proceed to release from my mouth earthly material, aimed towards the earth to my left, in the direction of the incoming clone, the material travels quickly and on impact with the earth in front of the clone, I cause it to harden on its way, and once it hits the earth, it explodes releasing many shards of earth that does significant damage to the clone within its vicinity~
I really liked how you analyzed those techniques and the disadvantages to the earth wall technique. When performing the technique your wording had me a little confused but I got the gist, but be careful, because it may lead to confusion in battle. The rise will be fast enough to pin enemies to the ground, restricting their movements as they struggle to get up and the drop will be fast enough to leave almost all enemies without a footing (albeit not airborne). Because of the large chakra needed to alter such a large area of the terrain, the user will be able to use it only a limited number of times.
Note: Can only be used twice.
A very lovely tech that can be used as a great defense or an even better tactical placement terrain arrangement move. It is an earth move that requires chakra channeling meaning you can't move on to your next jutsu until it is fully erected. This is the larger scale version of the earlier one taught to you so you should know the gist.

Pretty similar to its parent technique, but here more power is required, due to the fact that it can be raised or lowered as far as 100m, also it seems to be faster, the fact that it can be fast enough to pin the target, restricting his movements while going up or leave the target imbalanced while going down makes it a very formidable tech in attack and especially in defense, and this could be used in combination a suitable technique to launch a wicked attack, like with dropping lid, but there are other potential uses for this technique, the size affected is also much larger, meaning it could affect more enemies during battle, however the user spends a lot of chakra in raising it, and can't use another technique while raising or lowering the earth, and since it takes time to complete, a good shinobi might be able to counter it, but also at say 100 above or below, you can't tell what the target is doing due to the distance, but it depending on its usage, one gains positional advantage

So basically a large mass of the earth in the shape of a volcano comes from the ground and erupts whatever is inside, this could serve as defensive, but after the eruption comes the slide, which could prove useful too in attack
Nice! I like your analysis once again my student. If your headband was the same as mines you'd have made a great sempai, but regardless, if you ever received a teaching status I know you'll do good. I then wave three hand seals changing the content of the scroll like a book turning its page. It was now displaying log 2. I want you to use the template method on the first jutsu and analyze the last. After giving you several moments to read the scroll I dash towards you rather easily due to our short range relativity before using my forwards momentum to perform a high jump side kick with my left leg aimed to sweep across your face closely without making contact. As my leg passes the target I use the right rotating motion to twist my upper body towards the ground where I then land on the palms of my hands as I tuck my legs in bringing them down while using that same rotating motion to twist my hips to the left where I will then deliver a low leg sweep with the same leg successfully completing two consecutive 360 degree rotations. Recovering from the sweep I will then jolt towards you with a rasengan in my hand to maximize the damage 10 fold.

Both of these formations are capable of dwarfing even the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path in size. This is one the most strongest Earth based techniques, standing as a testament to both this ability's destructive potential and its difficulty. However, because of its size and power, it can only be used a limited amount of times, requires much chakra and can only be used at least mid range from the user.

One of my personal favorite earth custom jutsu that I like to use when facing a fleeing opponent. With three hand seals, and a distance of at least mid.range from the user, they can erect two enormous earth formations on the sides of the target that eventually closes in on them with great speed. Its dimensions are left up to the user, but this jutus has been seen even dwarfing the Gedou statue in size. Always remember your relativity to the structure and how it can effect you when using this move.

Description: The user releases a burst of earth chakra from all over his body. As he does this, a multitude of rock seemingly grows from his skin, forming a large, dense armour or rock much bigger and bulkier than the users original size. The armour can be manipulated and used to create extendable weapons to strike a target with like rudimentary swords or hammers. The downside is that the user cannot mold techniques from other elements a part from earth while sustaining the armor. The armor can be manifested in only specific parts of the body if the user so chooses.
An S ranked full body surge earth technique that can suit almost any situation in battle. It requires no hand seals making it a rather swift technique that is created straight from the body and expands outwards making a dense, bulky armor. The user can create extendable weapons from the armor which is cool and helpful when plotting surprise attacks. Although cool and fancy, the user is limited to earth chakra and earth chakra alone, meaning they cannot use any other form of ninjutsu other than doton. It can be canceled at anytime, and lasts as long as the user fuels it with chakra.

I then wave three hand seals changing the content of the scroll like a book turning its page. It was now displaying log 2. I want you to use the template method on the first jutsu and analyze the last. After giving you several moments to read the scroll I dash towards you rather easily due to our short range relativity before using my forwards momentum to perform a high jump side kick with my left leg aimed to sweep across your face closely without making contact. As my leg passes the target I use the right rotating motion to twist my upper body towards the ground where I then land on the palms of my hands as I tuck my legs in bringing them down while using that same rotating motion to twist my hips to the left where I will then deliver a low leg sweep with the same leg successfully completing two consecutive 360 degree rotations. Recovering from the sweep I will then jolt towards you with a rasengan in my hand to maximize the damage 10 fold.

One of my personal favorite earth custom jutsu that I like to use when facing a fleeing opponent. With three hand seals, and a distance of at least mid.range from the user, they can erect two enormous earth formations on the sides of the target that eventually closes in on them with great speed. Its dimensions are left up to the user, but this jutus has been seen even dwarfing the Gedou statue in size. Always remember your relativity to the structure and how it can effect you when using this move.
An S ranked full body surge earth technique that can suit almost any situation in battle. It requires no hand seals making it a rather swift technique that is created straight from the body and expands outwards making a dense, bulky armor. The user can create extendable weapons from the armor which is cool and helpful when plotting surprise attacks. Although cool and fancy, the user is limited to earth chakra and earth chakra alone, meaning they cannot use any other form of ninjutsu other than doton. It can be canceled at anytime, and lasts as long as the user fuels it with chakra.

(Name)(Doton: Yama Eikyō) - Earth Release: Mountain Smash Counter: Hmm.... I think it depends on my location. If I'm on the ground it's easier, I could stop it by channeling a powerful lightning jutsu to the ground, or even one powerful enough to destroy it, although that's going to cause lots of debris, and rocks falling on me. If I'm in air, well that's more difficult, but one could capitalize of the fact that the technique is not known for it's speed, so if there's a fast evasive tech in the target's arsenal, it could prove useful, another way is to destroy at least one of the earth formations to avoid being smashed.
A third one, although I'm not sure it would work, it's just a hunch, but if the user of this technique needs to keep contact with the ground, perhaps if I were to send a fast and powerful tech that'll force him to leave the ground I'll be safe, but I think it's a stretch Adv.~ The range of the technique is astonishing! It's almost impossible to evade, one just have to face it, and once caught it means certain death, and is useful both offensively and defensively. What power! Dis.~ Although the draw backs are nothing compared to the uses, there still are draw backs, and one is the limited useage, also I have to be mid range to use to avoid being killed, although it may work to an advantage, if say my clone performs in close proximity to his target, affecting them both, but that won't be possible because of the next disadv.
It requires lots of chakra, meaning it takes time to perform, and even if the user wants to commit suicide, he wouldn't be able because at short range, the opponent's faster attack would get you,hence it's slow to perform, so it requires considerable distance. Finally it requires contact with the ground to use so not every time can it be used but, that is a minor problem

~I witness as you charge at me, rather swiftly, due to our difference in speed, I'm at an obvious disadvantage, as your leg sweeps across my face, I lean backwards a little on reflex, before jumping backwards, and as I see you forming rasengan, I begin channeling a burst of my earth chakra to all over my body, which effectively covers my body with an armour made of rock, while also creating a dagger made of the same rock in my right hand, as I'm about to be struck, and once I'm hit, I manage to grab your hand holding the rasengan with my left, while being pushed by the rasengan, and with my other hand, I attempt to impale you with the sword made from the rock~

Well it's a massive technique useful both in offense and defense, one could stay on it as it attacks or choose to let it attack alone, also it packs momentum and it's range is excellent. but unlike it's weaker version, one can only produce it from the ground, so by slamming ones hands on the ground, it's created, and the user must maintain connection with the ground for it to be active, and I recon the user cannot use another technique when it is active, I could be wrong though. Also it's pretty fast for a giant warrior, but it's most important advantage is being able to defend it's user and attack, and all within reason, it's uses depends on the users imagination, I could shove a users technique back at him for examplexd

I assume it works in pretty much the same way as the weaker version of the technique. When applied to self, it makes the use feel almost weightless, I believe this is the basics of how Onoki flys,not 100% sure though, this makes its user faster in terms of speed and reflexes I think, because unlike leg weights for example,which when taking off grants the user great speed, this one greatly reduces the weight of the whole body, so the user becomes faster, lighter to the point of almost being able to glide through the air (basically it means I can jump higher in our rp._.) but loss of weight results in loss of momentum, greatly reducing impact, so the result is loss in power, this is best suited for evasive maneuvers, and counters, because a punch in this state will feel like you're romancing our enemy with your fists lol!
When applied to objects, in makes it lighter, although I wouldn't use this on weapons because of air resistance, even though role players sometimes neglect it, but it's ability to almost nullify the weight of an object would come handy when a solid projectile is launched at the user and he may not be in a position to counter or block

This is the exact opposite of the first one, and it trades speed for power, imagine applying this technique at the last minute, to a physical attack that connects, the opponent would greatly injured, perhaps even die, however if the technique is applied to one self at the wrong time, he might not be able to react to his foe's counter.
If applied to an object or a suitable, and this I'd do lol! would cause total destruction, imagine that this tech was used on the meteor caused by madaraU_U need I say more! It is the end, however depending on the object it is applied to, the speed would be slower, however in a case of a free fall technique, applying more weight would actually cause it to fall faster, because the more compact and heavy it is, the less likely it is to be affected by the viscous drag in the air

Well, I'm a very offensive strategist when serious, I usually prefer to pressure the opponent to make him think mostly about defending, so this technique is well suited for me, so first, in a scenario where a technique blocking vision of both I and my enemy, then depending on the situation, I would likely try to perform a surprise counter attack but coming at the opponent from the sides, or above, just to throw him off guard, because most people throw a jutsu, and expect the enemy to make use of elemental weaknesses to counter, so he wouldn't expect to see me launching an attack from the side for example, secondly, I would use it to reduce the weight of a physical based technique for example, also depending on the situation,now there are so many weird uses coming to my head, I probably won't try them except maybe in spars, so they're not really worthy of mentioning (also because I have some questions concerning the techniques that are paramount to my usage of it)
2. YES!!! Yes I will! it's a huge risk, but I would capitalize on the opponents great lack of speed in that time, he may have more physical power, but I'll have speed, so I could easily react in time to counter his moves, especially in a ken-taijutsu fight, which I like, but it is risky.

The technique doesn't say, and I'm not sure, so I'll ask, can the user of these techniques use another technique while this is active? is it only limited to earth, if yes?
Say I use that mountain smash technique, can I apply the added weight tech to the ground letting it increase the weight? In other words can I apply either of the techniques above to another earth technique via touching the ground? (better to ask foolish questions than to die a foolish death*_*)
Great response as always! Now let me point out/correct a few things. No Onoki does not use the super light weight to fly. He has a separate technique for that. Everything else was good. Analysis two is perfect, , if you can manage to use that tech on a falling object then GG. Nice job on the answers to the question, I don't see any problems there. Good questions! For the first question I would assume yes, just to be on the safe side techs like this would normally only allow the user to use A rank earth and below while active, but then again I'm not sure so you should type the tech name in the BA or BT section and try to find some correct forms of its usage to help you out. I've enjoyed you was a student. You show great understanding for techs but lack a little confidence. The best way to perfect battling is to battle various opponents in the BA section who are willing to point out your errors, and you do the same for them. Enjoy the earth element.
