So...i have rooted my phone recently,an Lg ptimus hub e510 and i want to flash a good and stable rom and overclock the cpu over 1Ghz..anyone know which is the right Rom/kernel for what i am looking for?Plz help i am confused with this stuff
Over clocking is bad, for a phone its gonna overheat and burn you and damage the parts.@fair warning:
Well,it gives me some more freedom as i can always delete apps and restore them right away with Titanium backup (an app that needs root)! Also even with the stock rom there are a lot of other new moves to pull with root! The rom and the kernel i need is more for the cpu overclocking as the stock rom has only 800 max and it s@cks!
I flashed CM10 onto my phone-so far no bugs and it's been about 10 months since I flashed the rom! But then again it depends on your phone. I would suggest doing some research and finding out which rom is the most stable. Ahhh, thats some hardcore overclocking O_O I didn't clock my CPU too much because it does heavily drain the battery. I'm not too sure what kernel you should go for. Have you found one yet? Thanks Sam
I have already decided i will go with cyanogenmod rom but i am afraid of what to choose..stable one(CM7.3) is only 2.3.7 in firmware but no bugs! One the other hand, CM9 and 10 got like 4.0.1 or something.but i saw alot of bugs from the users comments(mainly camera and bluetooth)!
Which version should i flash in your opinion based of what i said?
About the overclocking you told me,the thing is that i checked that the CM Roms doesnt actually pimp your cpu much(like only 200 max in cm10 i think)so i am looking for a custom kernel that will match the rom i will choose and will manage to surpass at least 1k!
Well, apps need internal space!Rooting gives you the option to make part of the sd card phone space! When you normally have 180 mb internal i will have with root like half my sd card(max) plus the internal phone space(lets say around 2000 mb)See the profit? You can also uninstall all the baterry consuming and space consuming useless stock apps like stock broswer. and stuff!Search it,you might find it good for you tooReally there isnt much of a point in rooting an android when you can simply download the .apk files of any app and still keep your warranty
Well,my phones stable is the CM7 r3 i think! So anything above that has bugs concerning bluetooth and/or camera issues!I read that camera can be fixed with a 3rd party camera app but the comments in the CMforum are negative for that!So it is really difficult to choose...I would like yhe CM10 for myself too but not having a camera is a big turn-off!On the other hand,CM7 is perfect as of stability but the improvment is only from the stock 2.3.4 to the custom firmware of 2.3.7...Which i think it wont give me much access to new apps!I flashed CM10 onto my phone-so far no bugs and it's been about 10 months since I flashed the rom! But then again it depends on your phone. I would suggest doing some research and finding out which rom is the most stable.
