Why do it inn the first place? I rooted mine and found nothing worthy of keeping it that way and it crashed so much.

If you don't know what you're doing, dont make it worse

@fair warning:
Well,it gives me some more freedom as i can always delete apps and restore them right away with Titanium backup (an app that needs root)!Also even with the stock rom there are a lot of other new moves to pull with root!The rom and the kernel i need is more for the cpu overclocking as the stock rom has only 800 max and it s@cks!

Over clocking is bad, for a phone its gonna overheat and burn you and damage the parts.

But do what you want, try android___forums. C .o m

Well overclocking can be bad if you lets say push it to the limit...i just want a small fix so i guess it will be fine..so i only need a suitable custom kernel for my phone!I guess i will look it up in the site you told me!Thnx:)
@Lawliet L:Dude.....relax!I am carefull with these things(i am not gonna break a phone i paid so much for)!Every change i make is little and just as much as my phone can handle!

Well it depends on your phone really. I rooted my phone late last year and it was probably the best decision I made. I used the CyanogenMod rom. It's pretty good. To actually flash the rom, I would suggest visiting this forum . You could possibly find a tutorial there to root and flash a rom onto your phone. Also check this site out . Its the official CyanogenMod site.
PS.Once I flashed the rom I was able to overclock my CPU.

Thanks Sam:D
I have already decided i will go with cyanogenmod rom but i am afraid of what to choose..stable one(CM7.3) is only 2.3.7 in firmware but no bugs!One the other hand, CM9 and 10 got like 4.0.1 or something.but i saw alot of bugs from the users comments(mainly camera and bluetooth)!
Which version should i flash in your opinion based of what i said?
About the overclocking you told me,the thing is that i checked that the CM Roms doesnt actually pimp your cpu much(like only 200 max in cm10 i think)so i am looking for a custom kernel that will match the rom i will choose and will manage to surpass at least 1k!

I flashed CM10 onto my phone-so far no bugs and it's been about 10 months since I flashed the rom! But then again it depends on your phone. I would suggest doing some research and finding out which rom is the most stable. Ahhh, thats some hardcore overclocking O_O I didn't clock my CPU too much because it does heavily drain the battery. I'm not too sure what kernel you should go for. Have you found one yet?

Really there isnt much of a point in rooting an android when you can simply download the .apk files of any app and still keep your warranty
Well,apps need internal space!Rooting gives you the option to make part of the sd card phone space!When you normally have 180 mb internal i will have with root like half my sd card(max) plus the internal phone space(lets say around 2000 mb)See the profit?You can also uninstall all the baterry consuming and space consuming useless stock apps like stock broswer. and stuff!Search it,you might find it good for you too:)

Well,my phones stable is the CM7 r3 i think!So anything above that has bugs concerning bluetooth and/or camera issues!I read that camera can be fixed with a 3rd party camera app but the comments in the CMforum are negative for that!So it is really difficult to choose...I would like yhe CM10 for myself too but not having a camera is a big turn-off!On the other hand,CM7 is perfect as of stability but the improvment is only from the stock 2.3.4 to the custom firmware of 2.3.7...Which i think it wont give me much access to new apps!
As for the kernel i found one that reaches 1460MHz but it is only perfectly stable with the CM7!Basically i need this kernel to reach at least 1100 because thats the only way a certain app can work(Chainfire app which lets me play tegra games and improve phones overall graphic qualities!)
