Okay, first you need to be able to break the ground with your foot to create an underground tunnel. You've mastered earth so this should be no problem for you

*i start practing infusing fire nature into my rasengan*

2 weeks later...

*I make a rasengan and add some fire chakra into it. I then pour on Roku's super awesome sake stash and the rasengan burns. I strike a random tree*

Make a greater rasengan and stabilize the fire to mix perfectly with the rasengan by allowing it to burn by the sake. U_U

*makes a couple hand sign over my right hand, and produce a nice medium size rasengan. I then start to add some fire nature chakra to the rasengan. It starts to glow. I start running towards the tree that i missed before. As i am running i pump more and more chakra into my rasengan making it bigger and more stable..i pour on the sake and strike the tree mid trunk*

So...in order to use this, first make a storm of fire by gathering a large amount of chakra in a wide area over the battlefield.

Not too bad, but the trick is to release all of the fire in the storm to fall at once, while at the same time keeping the storm the exact size and chakra amount by continuously feeding it chakra. And you must learn to do this while moving, just in case you are moving when you use it, and controlling the fireball pattern to avoid being hit by them yourself. This technique may take a month or even a year to master. O_O So try it again.

Keep trying, I'll leave Yoshino here to supervise you. I'm going on a vacation! Aloha! *puts on a Hawaii hat*
