Okay, a slight briefing here. First of all, Ninjutsu is actually used much more than Genjutsu due to the fact that it inflicts physical pain.
However, it is a really creative part of jutsus, and utilizes many tools and materials.
Today, I will be going over with you basic Ninjutsu.
Please give me a detailed description of what you think Ninjutsu is and how it could be utilized properly in battles.

What I believe Ninjutsu is:
Ninjutsu is the art of controlling one's physical and mental energy to create a type of energy in one's body called chakra. Once controlling that chakra, it is manipulated to channel into attacks or weapons. It is not elemental but this type of chakra enhances attacks. Basically just very good control of chakra.

I see kunais as more defensive than offensive. I would use them defensively to keep you away by throwing them, in the attempt to keep you at a distance away from me.
For the offensive situation, I would use them to get damage to you in the short range for a quick and lethal kill.
Harm would most likely be minimal due to the weapon not being very big.

Okay. How would you strike with it? Which parts of the body are most vulnerable to a kunai?
Say for example, you see an open spot, and you can immediately kill your opponent. Which places would you favor?

I would strike by going short range and stab. Throwing can be done too but that would need multiple kunai to kill.
The spots would be: Gut(liver area) and Chest(heart area)...back of the head too xd

Anyways, excellent. Remember that kunai are like small swords. They are meant to cut and stab quickly and efficiently. Aiming for the heart and liver area are definitely good places. You can also pierce their legs, causing them to be disabled so you can kill them in another manner.
Back of the head is also a great place. Forehead is another. Either way, you need enough strength and tactic to do so.
Next, we shall talk about shurikens.

Shirukens are used to cover large areas when thrown in large amounts but their main purpose is to distract or to move an enemy to a direction you want.

So what if you tossed a bunch of Shurikens at once at an opponent? What purpose does that hold?
Furthermore, if you tie a string to a Shuriken, how would you be able to use it?
Also, what's so special about the shaping of a Shuriken? What does it allow it to do?

The purpose to throw a lot is make the opponent move or to distract them if they stay on the same spot.
If you tie a string, you can purposely miss and pull to hit them in a blind spot. In other words, to make the shiruken more agile and have more function instead of a one shot tactic. You can also use elements like fire to help the string be the transporter of the fire.
The shaping of the shiruken allows one to manipulate it and even attach various things to it. Example: explosive tag

Smoke bomb is very useful for concealing oneself from the enemies vision. This creates them vulnerable for any surprise attacks.
The only one I can think of is the Byakugan since it has no blind spots and can act like a binocular to see through solid objects. One's position would be given away.

Really? I thought Byakugan was the main one...well then sharingan can see chakra and movements well and the distraction wont slow the person down.

Sharingan users can see chakra, thus, the smoke will not affect them.

Hmmm...smoke bomb limits vision in a specific area while the flash bomb can limit the whole vision of the enemy.
In a fight, I would use it early in the fight to get the advantage. By temporary blinding them, I can move around and attack them from different angles. The doujutsus would be screwed bwahahaha!

I would throw it above the enemies field of vision like if the sun was above him.
An element that would get stronger? O_O I would say the water element since it can reflect water and make the flash stronger. Bad guess...I know
