I'm going to save you the time with the same old what is Sound. I had this saved for months lol. Gaining more understanding of Sound from all the sound training and that combined with my knowledge around made this right here.
Sound is the following:
-Vibration
-Disruptions of particles which is heard by our ears as vibratioins
-Lightning(vibration and speed) and Wind(speed and medium to move) chakra together
-Needs a medium to make the sound(anything can be a medium)
-It is fastest in Earth or solid materials harder then then Earth
-Mechanical Waves: energy moving from one point to another(there is two types but Sound is just mechanical so the other one doesn't matter right now in this lesson)
-Frequency(Hz): Low(low pitch; hear the bass) and High(high pitch; can feel the sound through your body)
-Different speeds depending on the surface it passes through(Fast to slow: Solid, Liquid, then Gas)
-Heat increases the energy for Sound meaning Hot air the sound is faster then normal air

The only thing I would love to point out is the High pitch and low pitch needs to be reversed. In the world, low pitches are the noises or music that you can feel, having more of a deep or dull feeling. High pitches or frequencies are the ones in which you sense or hear.. Understood?

Could someone use this jutsu to blast some ear drums out or it isn't focus that much to do that type of damage?

- Can defend and push opponent(s) back to creating space if needed
- Deflict weapons and even use them to blast towards opponent
- Doesn't affect a wide range, mainly is a focus attack of a small platoon
- Doesn't able the user to defend against large scaled attacks

Alright well we can use a bit of known knowledge to help determine the answers to that.
One, its a C ranked sound technique. So one can assume it doesnt pack that much strength to move a large summon when the description talks about sending opponents flying. I doubt it could move summons. And i think it would make the opponents ears ring and disorientate them a bit but not blow out eardrums unless you screamed directly in their ear. Good questions though.
Next is one thing i missed..
One of the things that comes with sound is the immunity to your own techniques to a certain extent, as obviously it is possible for you to make techniques that still harm you. So I want you to try to produce sound by vibrating the air around you so that you can get used to it. By the end of it, you should be quite dizzy. If you know/understand why you would be dizzy, tell me.

Okay now I understand. So it can make them ring but not burst that is good.
Deathstroke stands before his bro/sensei Obito. He listens to the instructions about vibrating the air around him and trying to make himself dizzy by the end of listening to the air vibrating and getting use to the air vibrating and producing sound. Deathstroke starts channeling his lightning and wind chakra using the wind chakra to control the air around him and making the particles faster. He uses his lightning chakra to vibrate the air particles even faster and giving them more speed producing a little bit of sound. Deathstroke gives this more attempts and finally after seven attempts he finally gets use to making the sound and finally starts to allow the sound to build up to the point his starts to hurt from hearing it. He keeps it up and continues on pushing the lightning and wind chakra making the sound louder as the particles faster. He stops and starts to feel dizzy.

Then release a low pulse of sound from your mouth with every breath you take so that the sounds echoe, returning back to you. Giving you an image of the surroundings in your head.

Logan(new character as you can see and CFS coming for him next 
) tries to walk forward but falls.
"Ouch that hurt"
He rubs his head and notices he doesn't feel the presence of his sensei anymore.
"Hey where did you go? This is no fun I want to..."
Before he could finish he hears the words of his sensei and the rushing of running and trees and bushes. He stops talking and rubs his tongue over his mouth making a low noise which makes a low pulsing noise that bounces off of objects. Logan listens hard but not to hard so he doesn't get dizzy or ears starts to hurt. The noise he just produce enters his ears and gives him a range of short range and doesn't "see" anything. He releases another low pulsing noise but this time he doesn't it three times and gets clearer and longer picture. He hears the noise of a heart beat and it is the only heart beat in 12 meters range.
"There he is"
Logan foot steps release low release of noise that continues on letting him "see" his surroundings and the heart beat direction. He continues on running at the heart beat and leaps over the bush and points at his sensei and touches him.
"Tag you're it."

Logan focus his wind chakra in and throughout his hands. He focus his lightning chakra also in and throughout his hands to vibrate the wind more. Logan claps his hands in front of him and notices a release of noise.
"Hmm"
Logan thinks about the amount and focus even more wind chakra and lightning chakra in his hands and mostly the palm of his hand. He claps his hands again in front of him. Once his hands touch they release a loud noise forward knocking his sensei back a few feet but doesn't damage him thanks to Logan second time of using the method of focusing in his hand.
