(Okay just so you know. This is a Rikudo Sennin Backstory. Hopefully stating that will help this FF get more attention. Also you can find a link to the last chapter as well as my other FF by following the link in my sig)
Chapter 2: Please don't take Uzima!!!
"I can't believe it...I have never seen a wound like this in all my years," Son Goku stated in amayzment. The priest, who was also the nearest doctor was looking at the wound that the ten tailed creature gave me. Even now I could feel the deep wound. It burned more then anything I had ever felt in my life.
"Will he be okay?" Miss Matatabi asked Son.
"Well it isn't bleeding. It seems that the wound sauterized instantly and turned to scar. And it seems that the wound wasn't deep enough to damage his inards or his spine. The strange thing is this strange hair that looks like it is growing out of the middle of the wound," Son Goku said.
"That hair looks just like the hairs on the monster!" Uzima, who had been sitting in the corner, said.
"It is unprecidented, but perhaps when the beast attacked, it lost one of it's hairs and it got sautered into the wound. I could shave it down a little, but I feel if we try to pull it, it might open the wound again," Son Goku said as he pulled out a small pair of scisors and cut the hair down. I felt the hair deep in my flesh. Almost like it was wrapping around my spine. It was unbearable at first, but eventually it numbed.
We all walked out of the hut later. I was still sore, but I could walk. Uzima walked by me. Miss Matatabi had gone ahead of us, to make sure the others were under control. Uzima clung to me.
"I'm so sorry, Tengen. It is all my fault that you got hurt. If I had jumped..." she said as she began to tear up.
"Don't worry Uzima. I'm fine. I'm just glad you are unharmed," I said with a smile.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Later that night, I was plauged by horrible nightmares. At first I could see the horrible eye of the beast. Locked in gaze with me. But then I saw something else. A pair of eyes appeared when the beast's eyes disipeared. They were similar in design, made up of several rings. But it didn't have the marks around the rings, and it wasn't red, but instead a light purple. I never realized it, but it was the same color as my eyes, accept mine did not have the rings. The end of my dream was the most disturbing. Uzima being carried off by 10 or so strong armored men. The took her to a dark castle where they used her for their pleasure.
It was at this point I awoke. It was early in the morning. Not even the caretakers were awake. It was just me, and Kurama who was sitting in meditation on the stone slab in front of his dojo. I walked quietly across the hall and looked in Uzima's room. She was sleeping gracefully. I was relieved that she was safe and my dream was merely my mind playing tricks on me. I got dressed and walked downstairs and over to Kurama. He payed no attention to me, though I am sure he was aware of my prescence. Having a lot on my mind, I kneeled down on the ground next to him and began meditating. The quiet morning helped me get in touch with nature and helped me find peace. I could feel a strange uneasyness coming from my wound. A strange energy that coarsed through my body. My mind and body were as one. I could feel energy coarsing through my veins. It put me in ecstasy. It was such a pleasant feeling.
My bubble of peace was popped as Kurama stood up. I looked up to the strong armored man. He was looking towards the road. I suddenly learned why he stood. I could hear it. The approach of horses. The only people who would have that many horses....was the imperial army. Kurama grabbed his sword and took a strong and confident stance in front of the orphanage. I ran to the door and alerted everybody, before standing in the doorway. One by one the Samurai rode into the coartyard of our orphanage. There was about 5 of them. They dismounted from their armored horses and stood in a line in front of Kurama. The one in the middle that glared Kurama in the eye was more highly decorated with gold trim on his armor.
"Greetings Ronin. How is you life as a disgrace?" the Samurai leader spoke with a calm, yet sinister voice.
"What do you want Sasuke?" Kurama said, not paying attention to their words. His hand rested on the hilt of his sword.
"What? No "Hello comrade" ? My dear Kurama, has losing your master and working for filthy orphans made you so cold to your old friend?" Sasuke sneered.
"Make your business clear and leave us!" Kurama comanded, gripping his sword to show he was serious.
"First of all, you filthy, worthless Ronin. You do not command the noble soldiers of the Shogun's imperial army. Second, we are here for the eldest girl to take to the local troop commander. He desires a young virgin girl to entertain him," Sasuke said taking a step forward and getting in Kurama's face.
"You are not in luck. The oldest girl we have is on 6 years old. Move on!" Kurama said as he prepared to draw.
"You do know that if you draw your sword you have to use it right? Don't start something you can't win. You are skilld, but you are out numbered. You must also realize how serious a crime it is to lie to an officer. But I will give my old friend the benefit of the doubt and asume you meant to say 16. We are taking miss Uzima whether you like it or not. Am I clear?" Sasuke said, also drawing his weapon.
"NO PLEASE DON'T TAKE UZIMA!!!" I couldn't help but scream. Kurama turned around to shush me but quickely dodged the comming sword attack. He drew his weapon and they clashed. The other soldiers stood back, not wanting to interfere. The two warriors clashed blades, swiping and parrying each other.
After a few minutes, Kurama knocked the blade out of Sasuke's hand and sent him to the ground, holding the tip of the Katana to his neck. But after a moment he sheathed his weapon and walked back towards me.
"INSULANT DOG! I WILL TEACH YOU TO INTERFERE YOU DIRTY RONIN!!!" Sasuke screamed as he pulled a wakasashi sword from his back and cut off Kurama's leg just above the knee. Kurama tumbled to the ground as his leg blead. Sasuke stood up and stood above Kurama. "You are not worth killing. You shall be even further disgraced in being forced to live."
A hawk flew over head and landed on the shoulder of one of the soldiers. He pulled a note off of it's leg.
"Sir! We have been called back to the village. The commander says to get the girl another day," the soldier called out. Sasuke retrieved his weapon and broke Kurama's katana in two before throwing it to the ground.
"We must leave. But I shall return. And next time, Kurama won't be able to save you," the man said as they rode off back to town. The orphans helped me carry Kurama to Son Goku's hut to help stop the bleeding.
"I'm sorry Kurama... it's all my fault," Uzima said as she carried his broken weapon.
He simply patted her on the head and smiled. "I will defend you children with my every breath.

Later that night, I visited Kurama in his dojo. He was kneeling in front of an alter towards the back.
"Kurama senpei?" I whispered.
"Yes..." he answered after a moment.
"You can't defend us like this. You will be killed. Train me. I am the oldest boy, and I have watched you fight. Please, if you don't then who will protect us?" I asked.
"...it goes against every fiber in my being to train one who does not have Samurai blood....meet me in this dojo before sun rise. But for now. Go to bed. We have much work to do," he said before returning to his meditation. I returned home, checked on Uzima and then went to bed, waiting for morning to come.
