(Hello, I know I have the Naruto's Eyes, and Zenkutsu fanfics that I'm writing. But I want to do this and see what you guys think)

Prolouge:

I was born 18 years ago. My mother and father lived in the central forested territory of the continent under the rule of the Imperial Shogun. I was born with a defect. My eyes were deformed and resulted in a strange appearance. My parents and Grandparents saw this as a curse from the gods. They believed my life would be full of misery and woe. In an attempt to save me, they tried to give me a name that would invoke the happiness of the Gods. They named me Tengen. Tengen means Heaven. But, I never got to meet my parents. They were afraid that raising me would curse them as well. They gave me to an orphanage and moved away. The caretakers would later tell me this story.

The other orphans were mostly younger then I was. Most of them despised and made fun of me. Mostly for my eyes. Some said my name was ugly. Others simply said I was ugly. They yanked on my long hair which was a full shade of red. There was one however, that didn't pick on me. She was a nice girl. And to be truthful, I liked her, a lot. Her name was Uzima. She was such a prety girl. She was 16, a few years younger then me and closer to the age of the other boys and girls. He beautiful silk-black hair shined in the sun.

Alas, though she was nice to me, I doubt she shared my feelings. She was always being courted by the other boys, much to my displeasure. As beautiful as she was, she too had a terrible defect. She had been infertile since birth, the caretakers said. No family would want a daughter that can't produce grandchildren and no man would want to marry a girl that could produce no children. She was destined to remain in the orphanage and most likely would become a caretaker. The other boys, not thinking of having children, were more concerned with her beauty. I suppose I was too. But I didn't care about having kids. I just loved her. I wanted to be with her. But alas, our fates are star crossed. Never will I know her embrace.

The only other people I spent time with was Son Goku, the buddhist monk who lived a solitary life in the nearby forrest. He often spoke to the orphans and told religious stories. I spent much of my time listening to stories and hearing of his travels. Despite my imperfection he looked at me as if I was the same as the others. He was a good friend. I also spent time with Kurama, a samurai warrior who lived and trained in a dojo next to the orphanage. His job was to protect us if the Imperial Samurai ever attacked. He was very tolerant of me and even let me watch him train. But he said he could never teach me because I was not the son of a Samurai family.

Chapter 1: The day I will never forget

It was a cloudy day. I had finished my lecture and had returned from my story time with Son Goku. The other children played in the yard behind the orphanage. I knew I could not simply play with them, because I perfer they focus on their games and not torturing me. Uzima ran so gracefully with the other girls. I could not help but watch. I instead sat up on the roof and watched from above. I was the only one allowed up here because the others could fall and hurt themeselves.

The week had been rather peaceful. There was a light rain almost every day, but not enough to get everything muddy. Today was the first day that it didn't rain and all the kids took advantage of it to play outside. And the Imperial soldiers hadn't even been around to collect taxes. It was a pretty good week.

Occasionally however, I would get this strange tightness in my stomach and a small botch would appear in my vision, kindof like the blotches of color you get when you look at a bright light, or the sun. However, this blotch was not of color, rather it was black as night and took up the center of my vision. It was rather ominous.

"Uzima! Tengen!" the head caretaker called. I got off my perch and climbed down into the first floor. Uzima soon ran in and we both came before her. "We need to go to town to get some suplies, since you two are the oldest, you can help me carry groceries."

"Yes ma'am," we replied in unison. Uzima's voice was as enchanting as ever. We did as we were told, we got our sandles and walked out with Matatabi, the head caretaker. The walk to the town was a few miles and we had to walk all the way there. However, since Miss Matatabi was there, I could not get any alone time with Uzima, which was disheartening.

After a few miles of walking, I noticed that the tightness was worsening and the blotches became more frequent. The once grey clouds had become dark and the wind began to pick up. Lightning sparked in the distance. Uzima clung to me. Since she was little she has been scared of thunder storms. I didn't mind that she held on to me. It felt nice.

My gut clenched tighter and tighter. It felt as though something was coming. A dark rumbling could be heard, but it wasn't thunder. Miss Matatabi said that it was nothing and that we were closer to town, with only a quarter of a mile to go. Unfortunatly, we would not make it to town that day.

A massive boom came suddenly from the forrest on the right side of the road. Trees flew into the air and the wind picked up considerably.

"It is a tornado! We must find safty!" Miss Matatabi screamed over the howl of the winds. I only wish that it was a tornado. My gut was in nots until it became an unbearable pain. At last we saw the cause of all this. Massive tails peaked over the tall trees. Each was covered in a dark aura. The air turned hot, even hotter then it normally was. Air spiraled around the 10 massive tails. An arm came over and slammed into the road leading to town. Another hand came down on our path back. We were trapped. At last I saw it. The most terrifying part of this monster. The one red eye. At first it didn't notice us, but Uzima's and Miss Matatabi's screams alerted it to us. It's massive head came down and it looked at us with it's one massive eye. It looked at me in particular. It's pupil glaring at my eyes. It growled and then shifted it's attention to Miss Matatabi who fainted instantly. Finally it shifted it's attention to Uzima. After a while it stood and turned around. It began walking the way it came. But not before one of it's massive tails swung by and moved toward Uzima.

I ran and jumped over Uzima, we both sprawled to the ground. My body the only thing protecting her. Then I felt it. The very tip of the tail slashing across my back. It felt like a flaming sword being drawn across my spine. It stung worse then being branded with a red hot iron rod and then having the wound douced with salt-water. This is just the tip of the beast's tail, Imagine if I hadn't jumped in. It would have cut Uzima in two. This thought in mind, I bore the pain of this beast slowely dragging its tail across my back. It was torturing me, and it enjoyed every minute of it. Eventually the beast walked away and the clouds returned to normal. The clenching feeling in my stomach gone. Uzima safe, Miss Matatabi awakening. I smiled and passed out.
