I am here to ask about ripping customs. You see, a certain someone came and asked about Kuro-Ashi taijutsu from me. After I said no multiple times, he went and submitted his own style which is almost identical to mines

So, here I am asking if this is allowed or not. This would be pretty much the same if someone were copying Caliburn's Santoryuu with a different description and/or name/style.

Name: Onyx Foot Style - (Onikisu Ashi Sensu)
Description: The Onyx Foot Style is a unique use of taijutsu developed by a taijutsu ninja who was also a great chef , this was developed to allow the cook to fight effectively without the possibility of damaging his hands , a cooks prized possession. Due to this practitioners of this style have been noted to give off a relaxed image during the fight by usually either putting their hands in their pockets or folding their arms , the only time a practitioner of this style will use their hands is to prop themselves to use a wider array of kicks. As a fighting style, the style boasts a wide and impressive array of kicks, coupled with super acrobatic skill make it a very versatile fighting technique, allowing the user to effectively weave continuous and powerful attacks upon adversaries , though the use of momentum they can use the continuous combos for a lesser cost of energy but must end the combos after a certain amount of time.

Onyx Foot Style - Neck Meat - (Onikisu Ashi Sensu - Collier)
Type: Offensive
Rank: C
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 30
Description: This attack that the user executes from standing , placing their hands in their pockets they will deliver a powerful kick directly to the opponents neck. This is achieved with very little back lift which is surprising , the users foot will come in a roundhouse fashion sweeping from the side to attempt to damage the opponents neck. This is all done from a casual standing position with no indication of an attack.

Onyx Foot Style - Shoulder Meat - (Onikisu Ashi Sensu - Epoule)

Type: Offensive
Rank: C
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 30
Description: This attack is used for a standing position much like Collier , this though is a forceful kick directed straight down with the heel. This axe kick as given away by the name is intended to hit the enemy on top of their shoulder , the idea behind this is an attempt t either knock the opponent off balance , or send them crashing into the floor with the force driving them down on that side taking them off their feet.

~All approved~

I guess it would be considered ripping but while we are on the topic of taijutsu styles. Are members not allowed to create elemental based taijutsu styles? I created a fire based one and it got declined because of so many different styles that involve elements. I wanted to know because it wouldn't be fair if we couldn't. Im a newer member and don't know of all the Custom styles out there but I haven't seen any that involve elements O_O

If you see someone ripping your customs and they get approved, go to the mod who approved them. If that doesn't help go to a smod. We're approaching the 300th page of the CJ thread, every page contains 15 posts, so that means we're approaching the 4500th custom when we do reach the 300th page and that's in the extremely positive assumption only one custom was made in each post even though the average is around 3 or so.

Do you expect all the mods to know every single one of them? That's impossible, so the chance that an already existing custom gets approved again is reasonable. If that happens, go to the mod who approved it and explain the situation, especially considering the mod who approved those techniques is Izuna, who just became a mod and watches OP, so he should understand.

Did you do that? If not why was this thread made then :|

I wasn't expecting that nor am I complaining about the one who approved them. All I am asking is whether this is against the rules or not.

Well its pretty hard to be original (for some) especially because of all the cjs that are out there as cail said. I for one have seen many diff fire whip jutsu...is it wrong, that's hard to say. I haven't seen a rule that says it is but I agree to a certain point, don't steal someone's creativity (jutsu). But at the same time its not right for the older RPGers to hog all the techs (especially if its from another anime and linked to the fighting style of a bio).......the reason I say this is because I think what your talking about comes from one piece (I don't watch one piece so I could be wrong), that would be like saying that if you had an kimimaru bio no one else could use bone tech....hope I helped/made sense
