I saw in the paper there were 7 year old in the riots too. I was like WTF.

1. You let you children be exposed to that stuff?
2. You let them join in?

That was so messed up. And they are complaining about taxes and stuff, but after all they do, wont taxes go up so that the damages can be repaired afterwards.
And they trash their own homes and shops, putting their fellow man out of business, so what then? The shop owners become looters? :|

David Cameron is a d!ck, send in the army, shoot anyone who resists. I'm glad i don't live in a mojor city
It's atrocious. All the head of the met police could do last night was to ask the parents to tell their kids to get off the street. Isn't that the polices duty? I speak for the majority of people and say the police need to be more aggressive because all they were doing last night was standing still with their riot shields, allowing this to all go on and even in some parts, there were no police. People were just able to ransack any store they wanted... I honestly wouldn't mind the police busting some heads open to be honest. It's the only way they'll learn.

What i hate most about this is the guy got shot in some town in london and they have never done this for any other guy , i think its an excuse to just mess up london and its not fair on peoples shops and businesses being ruined by lowlife youths. They have burned own a mans business in croyden destroyed a phone shop and ran off with bare blackberrys i mean seriously

Well then, news coming in that a 26-year old who was shot last night has died in hospital. Are you happy now? A life for a life. Congratulations -_- And cameron is in croyden talking to firemen... What's the bloody point? but oh well, at least 16,000 officers will be patrolling the streets tonight =]

These riots have gone out of control. This is no longer about the shooting any more, half the people that were apart of the riots last night probably don't even watch the news. These are opportunistic youths thinking they can get away with it. Pure and simple.

Word is that tonight it will be more of the same and I would hate to think what will happen to my beloved town considering I was at the doorstep of one of the boroughs that were getting vandalised. The only difference is that the metropolitan police has called in policemen from other cities and counties and approximately doubling the police force for what's to come.

This is an embarrassment, not only for me but for everyone in our country. We're supposed to be holding the olympics next year and this is the example we're setting across the world? it's ridiculous and David Cameron is no good. He's been in Tuscany for the past few days, enjoying his lovely holiday while we have to suffer and the speech of his today was hardly awe-inspiring, actually, it had the opposite effect. I say we should stand up and go vigilante against these vandals and show them what's what.

And what's worse is that they've cancelled the England V. Holland friendly at Wembley because of it! Utter disgrace!
+rep. Gats hit the nail on the head here. People are savage creatures, and unfortunatly get swept up with the crowd. Those who would normally be civilized people get caught in the frenzy and perform acts they would otherwise not perform, and its not until afterwards that they realize the error of thier ways. Like gats said, at this point its no longer about the shoot, and its just about causing as much damage as possible I'm guessing to either release some pent up agression or to try and implement some sort of "punishment" the those who they beleive caused them wrong. However, they are hurting the very people they began the riots for, due to thier vandilism and violence.

Its been 3 days. The initial passion that started the riots should have quelled by now. At this point the people are waking up with a level head and still taking to the streets with the intent to cause harm and destruction, which is not the way to handle the situation at all.

Riots are escalating up and down the country again already.. and yet they are still refusing to bring the army in to help regain control. WTF is david cameron doing, he is all talk, saying that these riots will be dealt with severely but is still not committing the manpower to contain them
